Brand: Shining
Prism Jumps: Over the Sunshine (King of Prism by Pretty Rhythm); Shining Splash (#1), Shin Infinite Hug (#2), Rising Sunshine (#3) (Pride the Hero)
Special Ability: Prism Rush
My Song: "Over the Sunshine!" (King of Prism by Pretty Rhythm & Pride the Hero); "Sweet Sweet Sweet" (Prism Rush! Live), "Daisuki Refrain" (Prism Show Best 10)
Voiced By: Junta Terashima

The main protagonist of the movie, he enrolls at Edel Rose because he wants to become a Prism Star like Hiro Hayami. He is a genuine boy with a shining disposition and is always cheerful and optimistic.

  • Alternate Identity Amnesia: When Shine takes over Shin's body, Shin doesn't recall whatever he does.
  • Does Not Like Spam: Shin doesn't like celery, so Minato makes sure to cook it in his meals.
  • The Everyman: Shin is played up as the most "ordinary" of the members, since he wasn't given a characteristic or a background that makes him stand out from the other boys.
  • Grand Theft Me: When Shine is reawakened, he possesses Shin's body.
  • Image Song: "Over the Sunshine!" is the song Shin performs to, and it was given to him by Koji.
  • Luminescent Blush: Shin blushes easily when embarrassed.
  • Meaningful Name: One possible translation for Shin's name is "new", which is fitting in that he's a new student at Edel Rose. He also performs a new version of Infinite Hug called "Shin Infinite Hug", which doubled as a Pun in that it can be translated to "New Infinite Hug." But "Shin" is also the Japanese pronunciation of the English word "sin", which alludes to how Shine is inside of him.
  • Naïve Newcomer: Shin is Edel Rose's newest student and the last out of the main seven to join.
  • Nice Guy: He's one of the nicest of the Edel Rose students. In Prism Rush! Live, when he gets angry at Jin for forcing the media to cover up their promotions, the other students comment on how he rarely gets angry that when he actually does, he's really bad at handling it.
  • Oblivious to Love: Shin isn't aware of the depth of Louis' feelings for him.
  • Power Tattoo: Shin has a mark in the shape of the moon on the nape of his neck, which was where Louis had stabbed him during a Prism Show together. It was also the same spot where Shine was stabbed by Rinne. The mark reappears when Louis decided to give him back his ability to do Prism Jumps during the Prism King Cup by ripping out his earring.
  • Red Is Heroic: Shin is protagonist of the story and the designated "red" of the series (where usually you would have a pink).
  • Rookie Red Ranger: Shin is the last member of the Edel Rose students to join, meaning he is the least experienced.
  • Sealed Badass in a Can: The only reason why Shin is able to do Prism Jumps in the first place was because he drew that ability from Shine, who was sealed in his body.
  • Sealed Inside a Person-Shaped Can: Shine was a male Prism Messenger who wanted to run away from the Prism World, and Rinne was ordered to kill him. However, he was sealed inside Shin.
  • Supernatural Gold Eyes: His left eye turns gold when Shine possesses him.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: His favorite food is deep-fried shrimp, and his performance in Prism Rush! Live can be boosted if you buy this for him.

    Yukinojo Tachibana

Brand: Sexy
Prism Jumps: Thousand Year Blossom Splash (#1), Evening Moon Crimson Love (#2), Kunitachiya Spiral (#3), Dream-like State Hellish Love (#4), King of 100 Flowers, Renjishi Spinning Flame Dance (#5) (Shiny Seven Stars)
Special Ability: (none)
My Song: "Ageha Chou, Yume Mai Koi Shigure" (Prism Rush! Live); "Hyakka Ryoran" (Shiny Seven Stars)

A calm and collected kabuki actor considered the princess of the kabuki world. He enrolls Edel Rose despite his parents' extreme opposition. He is hiding that he's performing Prism Shows from the public eye and started doing them to try to break out from his shell.

  • Attractive Bent-Gender: Due to Yukinojo's feminine features, he passes off as a girl convincingly when crossdressing. He almost beats Mion Anastasia at the Miss Kakyoin Contest.
  • Dude Looks Like a Lady: Shin mistakes him for a girl at first.
  • Kimono Is Traditional: Yukinojo comes from a line of kabuki actors and is the 7th generation Kunitachiya. His Prism Shows are based on kabuki, so he wears them a lot in them. He is the designated "Japanese" idol with songs to match, so he's also often seen wearing kimono too.
  • Light Feminine and Dark Feminine: Both Yukinojo and Leo are easily mistaken for girls and can pass off as them, but Yukinojo's beauty is often noted for being mature and "sexy", while Leo is viewed as cute.
  • Long-Haired Pretty Boy: Yukinojo has long hair he keeps in a ponytail, and he is often mentioned by the characters to be extremely beautiful.
  • Onee-sama: Leo follows Yukinojo around and calls him "Yuki-sama" because he admires him for being able to come off as masculine despite his feminine features. In one skit during Rose Party 2018, which features Louis, Yukinojo, and Leo as girls, Leo actually calls him "Yuki-oneesama."
  • Pretty Boy: Yukinojo has more masculine features than Leo, but he's also so beautiful Shin mistakes him for a girl when they first meet.

    Taiga Kougami

Brand: Burning
Prism Jumps: Burning Splash (#1), Midsummer Night's Nebuta Dream (#2), Bouquets for Fortune Boys (#3) (Shiny Seven Stars)
Battle Mode Prism Jumps: Burning Splash, White Fan Zero, Rising Tiger Hurricane (Pride the Hero)

My Song: "Legend World" (Prism Rush! Live); "Fly in the Sky" (Shiny Seven Stars)

A street-style breakdancer who enrolls in Edel Rose because of his admiration for Kazuki. He's a tough guy who behaves badly. Whenever a girl touches him, he gets a rejection-like reaction and becomes unable to control himself.

  • Ambiguously Gay: Not only is he terrible with women, but Taiga displays admiration and affection for Kazuki that it plays off as more than just mere idolization.
  • Animal Motifs: His "Rising Tiger Hurricane" Prism Jump uses a tiger, which doubles as a pun due to his name, as "Taiga" is the Japanese pronunciation for "tiger." His Pair Friend, Torachi, is also a tiger.
  • Broken Pedestal: Taiga admires Kazuki, but King of Prism by Pretty Rhythm and Shiny Seven Stars show that he had been disappointed when Kazuki had decided to do academy-style Prism Jumps to pander to his female audience instead of upholding the street-style he's known for. However, in Pride the Hero, Kazuki shows Taiga and Alexander that it doesn't matter what style they use as long as they're able to entertain the audience and make them interested in Prism Shows.
  • Cannot Talk to Women: His official character description mentions that he is terrible with women and doesn't know how to deal with them.
  • Country Mouse: Taiga comes from the countryside of Aomori, and the Edel Rose freshmen visit his hometown in Shiny Seven Stars.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Taiga has good intentions but he's so Hot-Blooded and willing to defend Kazuki that it ends up horribly on two instances. In Pride the Hero, he tries to defend Kazuki and stop Alexander from destroying the stadium by engaging him in a Prism Battle. He wins, but he is disqualified for interfering. In Shiny Seven Stars, this happens again, but Taiga ends up getting a 50% score penalty and is partially the reason why Edel Rose loses the Prism 1.
  • Take Up My Sword: Kazuki nominates him to succeed his position as a street-style Prism Star.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: His favorite food is tempura soba, and his performance in Prism Rush! Live can be boosted if you buy this for him.
  • Tsundere: Taiga lashes out whenever he gets embarrassed, but he is surprisingly very loyal and dedicated to Kazuki.

    Kakeru Juuouin

Kakeru Juuouin

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ab9de2e0_d560_4cfe_a464_78110b2abcd4.png

Brand: Gorgeous
Prism Jumps: Kakerunomics Fund (#1), One Night Heaven (#2) (Shiny Seven Stars)
Special Ability: Cyalume Change
My Song: "Groovin' Emo-Chara Night" (Prism Rush! Live); "Orange Flamingo" (Shiny Seven Stars)
Voiced By: Taku Yashiro, Yo Taichi (young)

The super-rich heir to the Juuouin Holdings. His interest is getting girls' attention. He only enrolls at Edel Rose because he wants to be popular. His true nature is that of an otaku.

  • Embarrassing First Name: His real name is Kazuo, but he prefers being called Kakeru because Kazuo is a common, and to him, boring name. The actual reason, as revealed in Shiny Seven Stars, is that Kakeru wants to separate himself from "Kazuo" and his role and duties within the Juuouin Conglomerate.
  • The Gadfly: He loves teasing his teammates, especially Taiga.
  • Grade-School C.E.O.: He is the managing director of his father’s company at 15-16 years old and has access to the company's projects, such as the Prism System, despite that several employees are against him taking over the company in the future.
  • Instant Costume Change: During his performance at the Prism 1, Kakeru performs a Cyalume Change (from PriPara), which turns his outfit into a glowing rainbow bodysuit.
  • Otaku: He is quite nerdy and is an otaku who likes every genre of anime. It is said he likes to go shopping for action figures with Hiro.
  • Rich in Dollars, Poor in Sense: When it's his turn to cook for the dorm while Minato is away, he simply orders from a fancy restaurant.
  • Smart People Wear Glasses: He wears glasses and carries the stereotype of being the smartest of the group.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: His favorite food is fried egg rolls, and his performance in Prism Rush! Live can be boosted if you buy this for him.
  • Workaholic: Due to being both an idol and heir to a conglomerate, he has a rather busy schedule and only gets about 2~3 hours of sleep on average on weekdays.
  • Wise Beyond Their Years: Kakeru was brought into his family's business very early and faced a harsh world of business filled with corruption and betrayal; as a result, he’s more mature than what his gadfly attitude can show.

    Minato Takahashi

Minato Takahashi

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ff2eae45_59b9_4666_aab9_a5e2aa81e10d.png

Brand: Delicious
Prism Jumps: Minato's Chef's Choice a la Carte (#1), Grand Homecoming Harbor (#2) (Shiny Seven Stars)
Special Ability: (none)
My Song: "Home Sweet Home" (Prism Rush! Live); "Sailing!" (Shiny Seven Stars)
Voiced By: Masashi Igarashi

A young man whose heart has a love for peace as big as the huge Pacific Ocean. He is like a big brother to everyone and listens to their troubles. He is put in charge of cooking for the dorm whenever Kōji is unavailable.

  • Big Brother Instinct: Minato is the oldest sibling in his family and he also takes care of the Edel Rose freshmen by doing the housework.
  • Caring Gardener: He grows vegetables in a garden outside the dorm, but keeps it a secret from the others.
  • Gentle Giant: He's the tallest member of the group, but he's also the friendliest.
  • Massive Numbered Siblings: Minato has seven younger siblings.
  • Overshadowed by Awesome: Minato considers dropping out of Edel Rose when he feels that everyone is more talented than he is. The director based his episode on his voice actor's experiences entering the voice acting industry.
  • Supreme Chef: Minato cooks for his family at home, and this carries over to him cooking for the Edel Rose freshmen. He's able to make food they normally don't like taste good.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: His favorite food is celery, and his performance in Prism Rush! Live can be boosted if you buy this for him.
  • Team Dad: Since Minato is the oldest of eight siblings, he is good at taking care of the Edel Rose freshmen and watches out for them like a father. He often makes them eat what they don't like.

    Leo Saionji

Leo Saionji

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/2eb0715b_5cfe_4883_8fe8_9be009631c59.png

Brand: Lovely
Prism Jumps: Metamorphosis of Love and Mystery (#1), Lion Heart Flower (#2) (Shiny Seven Stars)
Special Ability: Prism Change
My Song: "Momoiro Max Jump" (Prism Rush! Live); "Twinkle Twinkle" (Shiny Seven Stars)
Voiced By: Takuma Nagatsuka

A little sister-type boy who looks like a girl. He always adores the gentle Yukinojō as a big brother and mentor. He enrolls at Edel Rose because he wants to become manly someday.

  • Attractive Bent-Gender: While Leo already does dress in feminine outfits and is borderline a Wholesome Crossdresser, he gets a lot of attention when he goes all the way during his Prism Show and the Miss Kakyoin Contest. He wins the Miss Kakyoin Contest despite being a boy, and the male characters find him cute, some mistaking him for an actual girl.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Leo does not like it when Shin gets any romantic attention. In the Rose Party 2018 event, the voice actors even did a skit where he becomes Louis' rival over Shin's affections. In Shiny Seven Stars, he shoos away girls giving Shin fan letters, and when Shin goes to Prism Land with Louis, he sniffs him to see if he's been out with a girl. He's technically a Crazy Jealous Guy, but due to his feminine appearance and mannerisms, he plays off of the Clingy Jealous Girl trope instead.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Leo was bullied as a child for liking feminine things, so much that he stops going to school for a while before transferring to Kakyoin Academy.
  • Dude Looks Like a Lady: Shin mistakes him for a girl at first. Leo also wears the most feminine clothing out of all the characters.
  • Even the Guys Want Him: Leo wins the Miss Kakyoin Contest, which took place at an all-boys school. Taiga and Alexander also get a Crush Blush the first time they meet him.
  • Expy: He and his sisters are pretty big ones for the West siblings. Leo himself resembles Leona not only in name (the "sai" in saionji is also the character for West), but also in appearance (due to them both being pink haired, effeminate pretty boys). His sisters have more direct comparisons, with both twins sharing braids on opposite sides, Kirari having blue hair and a spunky attitude like Dorothy, and Yurari being pink haired and more shy like Leona.
  • I Have Brothers: Gender inverted. He grew up with two older sisters in a gender neutral environment where cuteness and femininity was normalized, hence why Leo is quite feminine.
  • I Want to Be a Real Man: The reason why Leo joins Edel Rose is to become manlier. He idolizes Yukinojo because he represents his ideal vision of a man, where he is able to appear masculine despite looking feminine.
  • Instant Costume Change: His outfit changes from a green bodysuit into a pink Frilly Upgrade during his show at the Prism 1.
  • Light Feminine and Dark Feminine: Both Yukinojo and Leo are easily mistaken for girls and can pass off as them, but Yukinojo's beauty is often noted for being mature and "sexy", while Leo is viewed as cute.
  • Magic Idol Singer: Leo's "Metamorphosis of Love and Mystery" Prism Jump involves a Transformation Sequence that changes his outfit into a Pimped-Out Dress, complete with a magic wand.
  • Pink Is Feminine: Leo's color theme is pink, and he's the most feminine of the group.
  • Rose-Haired Sweetie: He has pink hair and is very sweet and kind to his teammates.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: His favorite food is baked yams, and his performance in Prism Rush! Live can be boosted if you buy this for him.
  • Wholesome Crossdresser: Leo is enthusiastic about participating in the Miss Kakyoin Contest in Shiny Seven Stars and pulls off the outfit quite well. In his Prism Show, he says he likes cute things and always wants to be cute.

    Yu Suzuno

Yu Suzuno

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/68efc700_1dd0_483e_8a3c_b87c8ee6c5f2.png

Brand: Tsundere
Prism Jumps: I am Zeus (Shiny Seven Stars)
Special Ability: Prism Live
My Song: "I am Zeus" (Prism Rush! Live); "Shiny Stellar" (Shiny Seven Stars)
Voiced By: Minami Takayama (Rainbow Live), Hiro Nakashima (Rainbow Live, young), Yūma Uchida

The son of infamous rock star, Gen Suzuno and younger brother of Ito Suzuno of Happy Rain. He is a tsundere who feigns coolness but yields to his older sister.

  • Ascended Extra: Yu first appeared in Pretty Rhythm: Rainbow Live as a minor character, but in King of Prism, he was upgraded to the main cast.
  • Bratty Half-Pint: He's the youngest and shortest member on the team, but he insists everyone calls him "Zeus" and is entering the bratty teenage phase. Fortunately, he doesn't act like a brat all the time unless he is provoked.
  • Child Prodigy: He is considered a musical prodigy as he is able to play any instrument and possesses the talent to compose songs at a very young age due to being raised in a musically blessed environment.
  • Embarrassing First Name: Like his sister, he prefers to be called by a nickname and hates it when people call him anything other than "Zeus".
  • Fanboy: Yu is a huge fan of Bell and asks for her autograph during their first meeting.
  • Height Angst: Yu is noticeably very short, and he hates it when people point that out.
  • Overshadowed by Awesome: Yu feels like he's living in Ito's shadow and wants to be acknowledged as a competent Prism Star on his own merits.
  • Shared Family Quirks: He and his sister Ito both use alias and dislike being called by their real name.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: His favorite food is red king crab, and his performance in Prism Rush! Live can be boosted if you buy this for him.
  • Tsundere: Much like Ito, Yu is stubborn when it comes to revealing his feelings of loneliness. This is also the name of his Prism Star style.

Schwarz Rose

    Louis Kisaragi

Louis Kisaragi (Rinne)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/95e70369_2e07_4465_a4e5_99c1b6d8efba.png

Brand: Star
Prism Jumps: Starlight Kiss (#1), Absolute Idol: I Love You (#2) (Pride the Hero, "Pride"), Aurora Rising (#1), Fluttering Rainbow Tail (#2), Infinite Hug Eternal (#3), Can't Stop Fall in Heaven (#4) (Pride the Hero, "Lunatic Destiny"), Dawn's Love Again (Shiny Seven Stars)
Battle Mode Prism Jumps: Star Splash, 100% Pure Pure Arrow, Bloom-Bloom-Blooming Love Flowers, Whispering Lunamystic Heaven (Pride the Hero)
Special Ability: Prism Rush
My Song: "Pride", "Lunatic Destiny" (Pride the Hero); "I Know Shangri-La" (Shiny Seven Stars)
Voiced By: Shouta Aoi, Ayane Sakura (as Rinne)

Louis is a mysterious boy who seems to know Shin and claims he crossed 1000 years to meet him. After introducing Shin to Prism Shows, he is later revealed to be Schwarz Rose's top student. His real identity is Rinne, a female-type Prism Messenger from the Prism World, who was rebuilt with a male appearance to guide male Prism Stars after Shine became defective.

  • The Ace: Louis is Schwartz Rose's star pupil, and Jin even scolds The Shuffle for not being like him. He is Jin's favorite student, and it's mentioned repeatedly especially in Prism Rush! Live.
  • Ambiguously Bi: Louis makes it no secret that he's in love with Shin, and he also comforts Jin with a Cooldown Hug right after June leaves him. At the same time, he has no problem with flirting with his female audience during his Prism Shows.
  • Big Damn Kiss: Louis kisses Shin in Pride the Hero, where he tries to remind Shin of their past lives by reenacting their deaths.
  • Call-Back: After shooting Shin with his Prism Jump, "100% Pure Pure Arrow", he says, "Happy Naru!", which is Naru's Catchphrase. This also gives away the fact that he is Rinne, since this was one of the things she remembers from Naru.
  • Coy, Girlish Flirt Pose: Louis persuades Shin to do a Prism Show with him in Pride the Hero coyishly. His Prism Show in Shiny Seven Stars is basically about their date together, which he flirts with him constantly.
  • Declaration of Protection: During the Prism 1, Louis monologues that he wants to protect Shin forever, but this also means that he can't kill Shine, because if he does, then Shin will no longer be able to perform Prism Jumps and will also lose all of his memories. And knowing that Shin loves Prism Shows, Louis can't bear to take that away from him, leading him to defy the Prism World's orders.
  • Forbidden Romance: Prism Messengers are not allowed to fall in love with humans, and because Shine abandoned the male Prism Stars, Rinne was assigned to guide them as well, but she ends up falling in love with them (i.e. June). The Louis program is a new male-type Prism Messenger based on Rinne's data and was created specifically to avoid this. However, Louis ends up falling in love with Shin anyway.
  • Friend-or-Idol Decision: Aside from guiding male Prism Stars, Louis is ordered to kill Shine if he ever comes back, since Shine is preventing the Prism Sparkle from spreading (which in turn will cause the Prism World and Prism Messengers to cease to exist), but if he does so, Shin will lose all of his memories about everything related to Prism Shows and will also no longer be able to perform in them. Because Shin loves Prism Shows very much, Louis can't bear to take that away from him, in part because of guilt and in part because once his mission has ended, he will have to leave him.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: In Prism Rush! Live, Louis briefly gets very tense when Shin talks about the friends he made at Edel Rose, and he gets very jealous at the thought of Shin possibly valuing someone more than him.
  • Kill the Ones You Love: The first Rinne, Rinne 1.01, was ordered to kill the male Prism Messenger, Shine (who she was also in love with), for competing in Prism Shows.
  • Laser-Guided Amnesia: As stated in Pretty Rhythm: Rainbow Live, once a Rinne's mission is complete, she must return to the Prism World and have her memories erased. However, because this is causing later copies of Rinne to self-delete due to her confusion on why Shine is missing, the Prism Gods return all her memories while building Louis to prevent this from happening. This probably explains why June was able to get her memories back after seeing him perform.
  • Longing Look: He often glances wistfully in Shin's direction. One notable one is at the end of Pride the Hero, where he watches Shin hang out with his friends, while he looks on grimly.
  • Love Cannot Overcome: Even though Louis is in love with Shin, he chooses to stay with Jin and vows to be with him always. This is because as a Prism Messenger, he isn't supposed to fall in love, and his original mission, aside from killing Shine, was to guide him.
  • Love Confession: Louis tells Shin that he loves him in Pride the Hero, before stabbing the back of his neck.
  • Love Epiphany: Louis realizes that he's in love with Shin, not Shine. He finally admits it clearly during his performance in the Prism 1.
  • Loving a Shadow: During the Prism 1, Louis reveals that he had approached Shin because Shine was inside him, but after realizing he was only "chasing the shadow inside of him", he comes to love him for real. During the Prism King Cup, Louis decides to return Shin's ability to perform Prism Jumps and change his mission to protecting Shin's best interests, which leads him to defecting from the Prism World.
  • Meaningful Appearance: In Shiny Seven Stars, at one point, Louis reminds Jin of Hijiri, Hiro, and Jin's mother. As a Prism World resident, Louis is able to modify his appearance, and it's speculated that he assumed their appearances so that Jin can remember how happy he used to be around people he cared for.
  • Meaningful Background Event: When Hijiri scouts Shin for the first time, Louis can be seen as a blurred figure in the background, meaning that he had intended for this to happen.
  • Morality Pet: Louis is the only person who can bring out Jin's humane side. He's so important to Jin that he essentially lets him do whatever he wants, even if he's against it (such as partnering with Shin for the duo event in Prism Rush! Live). Also, in Louis' episode in Shiny Seven Stars, he flips out after Louis falls unconscious after Shine is awakened in Shin.
  • Mystical White Hair: Louis technically has very light blond hair, but he embodies most of the "mystical" parts that comes with the white hair tropes, such as being a Prism Messenger.
  • Not Quite Human: Louis is from the Prism World and one of the many Rinne as a Prism Messenger.
  • The Nth Doctor: Louis is made from Rinne's data, and despite having her memories, he has a new identity and form altogether. He also has Shouta Aoi as his voice actor instead of Ayane Sakura, although Ayane Sakura still voices his Rinne form.
  • Oh, Crap!: Louis is shocked when Shine fully awakens during his Prism Show, though it's nothing compared to June's response, who begins screaming in fear.
  • Otherworldly and Sexually Ambiguous: He is a data entity created by the Prism World using data from their designated female-type messenger, Rinne. His true form is still depicted as Rinne (who is for sure female), but Louis himself has a male body. However, he can also change how his appearance looks at will. He also normally uses male Japanese Pronouns, but his monologue during the Prism 1 uses female pronouns after it's revealed to the audience that he is Rinne.
  • Pre Ass Kicking One Liner: He has the same line as June: "May the Prism shine down on you!"
  • Pretty Boy: His character description in Pride Rush! Live word-for-word describes him as a "pretty boy", and he is so androgynous that he can pull of feminine concepts as well, as seen in his "Lunatic Destiny" routine. Also, his true form is a girl, Rinne.
  • Real Men Wear Pink: Louis' androgynous appearance also allows him to portray more feminine concepts in his Prism Show. His take on "Pride" has a sensual and seductive routine as opposed to Hiro's bolder and masculine portrayal. His "Lunatic Destiny" routine has him in a long gown, and he pole dances. In Prism Rush! Live, some of his costumes are feminine, and during the wedding event, he plays Shin's bride to his groom. In Shiny Seven Stars, he wears pink pants during their date.
  • Reincarnation Romance: Rinne and Shine were lovers (though whether they were programmed to be such is questionable). Rinne was forced to kill Shine after he had gone rogue but he had only been sealed elsewhere, causing her next copies to unconsciously seek him out and enter a loop of self-deletion when they couldn't find him. Louis was created as a new male type based on Rinne's data while also being given her memories so it wouldn't happen again. Louis tries to get closer to Shin to draw out Shine, but later discovers he has fallen in love with Shin instead of Shine.
  • The Reveal: It's hinted earlier on that Louis is a Prism Messenger, but his full backstory and motives are revealed during his episode in Shiny Seven Stars.
  • Secretly Dying: Because Louis decided to defect from the Prism World, his Rainbow Feathers are replaced by Night Dream Feathers, which slowly drain his life. Throughout Prism Rush! Live, he's seen growing weaker and weaker, and his state is also the reason why Shine is able to break Rinne 1.01's seal.
  • Tender Tears: Louis tends to shed quiet tears at the memory of being with Shin.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: His favorite drink is milk, and his performance in Prism Rush! Live can be boosted if you buy this for him.
  • Vocal Dissonance: A viewer mentioned that in Louis' episode in Shiny Seven Stars, his voice sounded a lot higher than his normal appearances. Masakazu Hishida speculated in an interview in the August 2019 issue of Otomedia that it was because Louis was weakening and reverting back to Rinne, though he did mention he didn't specifically direct Shouta Aoi to act in a particular way.
  • Walking Spoiler: When nearly half of his trope page is covered, you know something is spoilery about him.
  • Wild Card: Louis is the one who introduces Shin to Prism Shows and helps awaken his potential. He's also in love with him. However, at the end of the first movie, he turns out to be a Schwarz Rose student. Then, in Pride the Hero, he is hinted to be the reason why Shin could no longer perform Prism Jumps, though he later gives him the ability again when he rips off his earring. Later, he defies Jin's orders to perform "Pride" and also willingly lets Hiro take the win when they both tie. But then, Louis vows to stay with Jin. Even in Pride Rush! Live, Shin acknowledges this and asks him why he's siding with Schwartz Rose. However, it seems to be important, as Louis says that he has something he needs to accomplish no matter what, and being in Schwartz Rose is the only way he can do it.
  • You Are Number 6: He is version 1.01 of the Louis program, making him the first Louis. He currently has the data of version 3.01 of Rinne.
  • You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: The Prism World attempts to remove all traces of the Prism Sparkle from Shin's world at the end of Shiny Seven Stars, which in turn nearly kills Louis. Thanks to the Edel Rose 7 Stars building a new Prism Goddess, he survives.

Brand: Burning
Special Ability: (none)
My Song: "EZ Do Dance" (King of Prism by Pretty Rhythm and Pride the Hero), "Survival Dance (No No Cry More)" (Shiny Seven Stars)
Voiced By: Shunsuke Takeuchi

Prism Show vandalist, Street Tyrant. Thinks that Street style is absolutely the superior and hates Idols. "I'm not the best" is what he doesn't think.

  • Ambiguously Bi: His performance consists of attempting to call Kazuki out, and leaving with a faint blush once he duels to a draw with Taiga and is addressed by him directly. He doesn't seem to have any interest in his fangirls, and only thinks of him while he's training. In Prism Rush Live!, he becomes attracted to Leo and blushes around him, but only because he initially thought Leo was a girl.
  • Ambiguously Brown: He has the darkest complexion in the cast, but it’s unclear if it’s due to his other ethnicity or because he spends his time on the streets too much.
  • Animal Motifs: His is a dragon, which appears in his Prism Jumps. His Pair Friend, Dorachi, is also a dragon.
  • But Not Too Foreign: He's half-Japanese.
  • Catchphrase: "Go to hell!"
  • Hot-Blooded: Alexander is quite aggressive, extremely competitive, and has a short temper.
  • In-Series Nickname: Sometimes he’s called Alec for short.
  • Real Men Wear Pink: Literally. In the epilogue of Shiny Seven Stars, he's seen working at Prism Stone and wearing the employees' pink apron.

Special Ability: Prism Axel
My Song: "Platonic Sword"
Voiced By: Mitsuki Saiga

A mysterious boy from the past. He is the male counterpart of the Rinne/Shine Prism Messenger Program and the main antagonist of King of Prism. He was sealed within Shin since his birth.

  • Affably Evil: Despite his extremist behavior, Shine maintains a very calm, friendly expression even as he destroys Louis-Rinne's wings.
  • Armor-Piercing Response: After awakening, Shine confronts Louis-Rinne and when she tries to kill him again, he says that if she does, Shin will not only be unable to perform Prism Shows, but he will also lose all of his memories of everything related to it. This is enough to scare Rinne to the point where he is able to destroy her wings.
  • Dissonant Serenity: Even after being awakened and killed by Rinne once before, Shine has a very calm and gentle personality.
  • Expy: His appearance resembles Wataru Hibiki from Ensemble Stars!, and his stage name while performing as a Prism Star even used the same name! Masakazu Hishida would later go on to direct the anime adaptation for Ensemble Stars!, interestingly.
  • Humans Are Bastards: Shine was created as a guide for male Prism Stars, but he starts seeing them as selfish. He decides to spread the Prism Sparkle by himself by becoming a Prism Star, even though by doing so, he is causing the Prism Sparkle to vanish faster.
  • Image Song: His song is called "Platonic Sword." The song has a very Yandere tone and is about obsessively loving one another.
  • Love Makes You Evil: Shine's love of Prism Shows is what throws him off his duties. His song, "Platonic Sword", is even about possessive love.
  • Meaningful Name: His goal is to spread the Prism Sparkle, hence the name "Shine." The series that fully explores his backstory is titled Shiny Seven Stars. Also, his name is one letter off from Shin's name in the Roman alphabet, showing off their connection.
  • Mystical White Hair: His hair is white, and as a Prism Messenger, his ability to perform Prism Jumps is enhanced ten-fold.
  • Superpowered Evil Side: It's questionable as to whether Shine is truly evil, since all he wanted to do was perform in Prism Shows, but he does take it too far and is abandoning his duties at the expense of others just to do so.
  • Walking Spoiler: His backstory spoils the biggest Plot Twists in the series, namely the fact that Rinne sealed him inside Shin, which explains why Shin was able to do Prism Shows in the first place. He was also Louis' lover (when he was still Rinne) in their past lives. Even his name is a spoiler!
  • We Will Meet Again: After the Edel Rose freshmen reseal him, he vows that he will return and take full control of Shin's body.
  • You Are Number 6: Version 1.01, the first Shine, was killed by Rinne. The second and current Shine, version 2.01, is the one sealed inside Shin.
  • You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: The Prism World sends Rinne to delete him because he is no longer interested in being a guide for male Prism Stars.
