Main Characters
Clarence Francis "Kick" Buttowski
Voiced by: Charlie Schlatter
- Acrofatic: He's definitely not as huge as his friend Gunther, but he is visibly pudgy. Yet, he does manage some amazing stunts and maneuvers.
- Betty and Veronica: The Archie to Jackie's Betty and Kendall's Veronica, as well as the Betty to Kendall's Archie and Ronaldo's Veronica.
- Brilliant, but Lazy: There a few episodes that show that Kick is actually smart. In "Morning Rush", he did a months worth of homework in one night. He also has an innate grasp of the angles and forces involved in all of his stunts, even if he may not fully realize that those are actually math.
- Butt-Monkey: Becomes a regular gag in Season 2.
- Catchphrase:
- "Biscuits", when things look ominous or after a mishap.
- One point, he says "biscuits with gravy" after the last part of chain of negative revelations.
- Cool Helmet: Never seen without it.
- Deadpan Snarker: He often throws snide remarks with a voice much fitting for it.
- Determinator: When he has an objective in mind, he'll try anything to reach it.
- Follow in My Footsteps: Both Kick's mother and Kick's grandfather (though we're not sure if it's maternal or paternal grandfather) were both daredevils in their youth as well. And despite the parental grumping about being careful, they're both proud of Kick.
- Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Gunther.
- I Call It "Vera": His skateboard is named Ol' Blue, and his BMX bike, Bonecrusher. And anyone who lives in Mellowbrook would probably attest that although these are sports equipment, they are weaponized when Kick uses them.
- Identical Grandson: Kick looks exactly like his grandpa did when he was younger. Right down to not having a nose.
- Made of Iron: No matter the bone-shattering flubs from his stunts, he's always up in a short time.
- Manly Tears / Not So Stoic: As an occasional response to positive emotions.
- Mature Younger Sibling: Compared to Brad, he is much more responsible.
- Mundane Made Awesome: He turns EVERYTHING into a stunt show.
- The Napoleon: For example, he's embarrassed to be seen buying clothes in a kids' store with his mother.
- Never Bareheaded: The one time his helmet is off, his head still remains covered with mud.
- Nice, Mean, and In-Between: The nice to Brad's mean and Brianna's in-between. Kick is shown as the most moral of the siblings and tries his best to help his brother, sister, and others out.
- Non-Standard Character Design: Kick stands out from most other characters because he's drawn more Animesque. He also lacks a nose.
- The Noseless: Lampshaded in "Wade Against the Machine" and "Garage Banned".
- Only Known by Their Nickname: Downplayed, but almost nobody calls him "Clarence", he is only known as "Kick" by most.
- Parental Favoritism: It turns out that it's Kick, not Brianna who is his mother's favorite like everybody thought, due to him inheriting her side of the families passion for stunt performing, much to his sister and brother's rage.
- The Quiet One: He's not very quiet as anyone thinks, but his voice does sound quiet.
- Sensitive Guy and Manly Man: Manly Man to Gunther's Sensitive Guy.
- Speed Demon: Kick is an amateur daredevil who is always on the lookout for ways to go faster.
- The Stoic: Usually he gives a snarky comment at best.
- This Is Gonna Suck: "Aw, biscuits".
- Vocal Dissonance: He is around 10 years old and happens to be quite short in stature, but he has a quite deep and adult-sounding voice.
- Would Hit a Girl: Had no problem with fighting Brianna in "Stay Cool" when Brianna took his toy.
Gunther Magnuson
Voiced by: Matt Jones
- Beware the Nice Ones: While being nice and innocent, Gunther can be pretty aggressive when pushed too far.
- Big Fun: Fits the trope.
- Chick Magnet: He's very popular in the Scandinavian region, even having his own fan club.
- Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: Despite being goofy and silly, he manages to be just as badass as Kick if situation calls for it.
- Dude Looks Like a Lady: At least Papercut Peterson mistakes him for a girl.
- Dumb Blonde: Gunther is helpful but easily distracted and confused.
- Fat Best Friend: To Kick.
- Gasshole: Burps and farts a lot. Taken to the extremes when he consumes lingonberries; one single berry immediately causes him to burp and fart simultaneously. He and Kick even weaponize it once against Brad and his goons.
- Genius Ditz: Despite being moronic and goofy, Gunther shows to have a great swordsmanship and fighting skills since he's a Viking. And he's also a skilled rapper especially when he's angry.
- Gratuitous Spanish: Usually when he sees a very large animal.
- Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: He's innocent, a little naive, and has a big heart.
- Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Kick (although the "heterosexual" part is sometimes questionable).
- The Lancer: To Kick.
- Proud Warrior Race Guy: Implied and pretty much made fun of with Gunther. A few episodes mention his family are Vikings.
- Sensitive Guy and Manly Man: Sensitive Guy to Kick's Manly Man.
- Strong Family Resemblance: He looks a lot like his mom.
Buttowski Family
Brad Buttowski
Voiced by: Danny Cooksey
- Alliterative Name: Brad Buttowski
- All Men Are Perverts: "If I do what she wants, maybe she'll do what the Brad wants."
- Babysitter from Hell: Kick hates it when Brad has to babysit him due to his Jerkass behavior.
- Big Brother Bully: To Kick. Though there are times Kick physically had the upper hand on him for a change.
- Butt-Monkey: He gets into many unfortunate mishaps and is rejected by almost any girl he talks to.
- Casanova Wannabe: He is constantly trying to pick up chicks and usually fails miserably.
- Catchphrase: "Yeah, Brad!"
- Catchphrase Insult: He often calls Kick "Dilweed".
- Childish Older Sibling: He acts far less mature than Kick and Brianna and lacks a lot of responsibility as well.
- Chivalrous Pervert: Despite hinted intentions, Brad genuinely cares for and respects pretty much all of the girls he flirts with.
- Disappointing Older Sibling: Compared to Kick and Brianna, who both have something they're passionate about and are both pretty good at getting their way, Brad is Butt-Monkey, a slob, and certainly isn't the brightest bulb.
- Dumbass Teenage Son: Of the three Buttowski children, he's the least intelligent of them all.
- Insufferable Imbecile: Far from the nicest guy and certainly not all that bright either.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He appears to be a jerk most of the time, but when he's in love, he's the nicest guy on the planet. He also has quite a few nice moments on his own.
- In "Dead Man's Roller Coaster", he becomes hysterical with guilt after leaving Kick and Gunther alone in the woods at night, and even brings his two goons to help him look for them.
- Karmic Butt-Monkey: His mishaps are often well-deserved due to his jerkish behavior.
- Laser-Guided Karma: Usually, it ends bad for him.
- Nice, Mean, and In-Between: The mean to Brianna's in-between and Kick's nice. He's a Big Brother Bully to his siblings and acts obnoxious and rude towards everyone.
- Smelly Feet Gag: Given his poor personal hygiene, he naturally has incredibly smelly feet, which he sometimes uses to his advantage to torment his brother.
- The Pig-Pen: He's notoriously unhygienic and bad-mannered, and his room is a literal pigsty. He's rather proud of it too.
- Took a Level in Jerkass: He has always been a jerk, but he seemed more hostile in Season 2. "Brad's Room" and "Brad's Diary" are some prime examples.
- Trash of the Titans: His room is in the condition of the town dump. He's even proud to live in such filth as well.
- Uncleanliness Is Next to Ungodliness: His terrible personal hygiene matches his Jerkass attitude.
- Would Hit a Girl: Had no problem with fighting Brianna over the remote in "Bad Table Manners."
Brianna Buttowski
Voiced by: Grey DeLisle
- Alliterative Name: Brianna Buttowski.
- Annoying Younger Sibling: To Kick.
- Cheerful Child: In "Not Without My Cereal." She is shown eagerly selecting things to buy and runs around the store happily.
- Jerkass Ball: Grabs it hard in "Stay Cool" as she acts like a jerk to her older brothers. She shows no sympathy for Brad getting grounded over her and Kick's fight breaking the AC and threatens to destroy Kick's stunting dreams if he tries to clear Brad's name.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Despite being bratty, she loves her brother Kick.
- Laser-Guided Karma: "Stay Cool" double subverts it. She and Kick accidentally destroy the air conditioner and try to keep it a secret. It looks like Kick alone is going to suffer in the end, but Brianna unknowingly loses her suitcase while leaving on a bus for a trip.
- Little Miss Badass: Despite her height, she has been able to fight her brothers without trouble and has won a lot of pagents.
- The Napoleon: Shorter than Kick, and can get hot-headed at times.
- Nice, Mean, and In-Between: The in-between to Kick's nice and Brad's mean. She's spoiled and bratty, but shows more kindness and respect than Brad and doesn't antagonize Kick as much as him.
- Nightmare Face: The extremely anguished face she makes when Kick and the chimpanzee Dr. Awesome accidentally trash her room during a scuffle in the episode According to Chimp.
- It later comes back in a short Imagine Spot for the episode Stay Cool when Kick remembers Brianna saying she’ll make sure he’ll never do stunts again if he were to tell their dad about the broken air conditioner.
- Parental Favoritism: She's her mother's favorite, hands down. At least she thinks so until Honey reveals it's actually Kick. To Brianna and Brad's rage.
- Spoiled Brat: Her parents spoil her and she tends to be a bit of a jerk.
Harold and Honey Buttowski
Voiced by: Brian Stepanek (Harold); Kari Wahlgren (Honey)
- Action Mom: Honey used to be quite the daredevil herself and she's still got it as shown in "Kickin' Genes".
- The Big Guy / Bumbling Dad: Harold.
- Career-Ending Injury: Honey ended her career as a speedboat stunt-woman because she tore her tendanacious ligamental flexor. Kick encourages her to try again years later, but the injury flares up at a plot appropriate moment.
- Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: Harold is a worrywart of a Bumbling Dad, but when it comes to ping-pong he's an unbeatable tyrant.
- Hartman Hips: Honey.
- I Call It "Vera": They named their cars Monique and Antonio respectively.
- Parents as People: Sometimes Doting Parent, sometimes Parental Neglect.
- The Smart Girl: Honey again.
- Women Are Wiser: Honey is The Smart Girl to Harold's Bumbling Dad, is much more put together and has an easier time dealing with the kids.
Cousin Kyle
Voiced by: Tom Kenny
- The Dreaded: Everyone in the neighborhood fears Kyle because of him being a chatterbox, especially the Buttowskis. In fact, in the episode he's introduced in, the neighbors beg for his mom to not leave him behind.
- Never My Fault: In his first episode, he tells Kick that Gunther says he's sorry for ruining one of his stunts when he was the one who ruined it.
- Talkative Loon: Big time.
- The Thing That Would Not Leave
Grandpa Buttowski
Voiced by: Ed O'Neill (as an adult), Charlie Schlatter (as a child in flashback)
- Generation Xerox: As a child, he looks like Kick, pulls off complicated stunts, and has an obsessive fan.
- Miniature Senior Citizens: He's only a few inches taller than Kick.
- The Noseless: Averted with his older self; played straight with his younger self. It's lampshaded.
Allies
Wade
Voiced by: Eric Christian Olsen
- Basement-Dweller: Until "Live-in-Wade", he lived in his stepmother's basement. Of course, she lived in a trailer, so her "basement" was just a ditch she parked over. Wade didn't seem to mind.
- Brilliant, but Lazy: "Wade Against The Machine" shows he wouldn't have any trouble advancing up the corporate ladder (precisely because he's so fun-loving), but he has much more fun at his regular job than in an office.
- Eye-Obscuring Hat: He has a knit cap that covers up his eyes.
- Fun Personified: Kick and Gunther think of him as this.
- Hidden Eyes: His eyes are usually hidden by his hat or hair.
- Nice Guy: He comes across as a pretty cool guy.
- The Slacker: He is shown to be quite lazy. He actually helps Kick learn how to be this himself when trying to prove he can go 24 hours without stunts in "Kick the Habit", much to Brad's frustration (it was Brad who was trying to get Kick sent to military school for it).
- The Thing That Would Not Leave: Turns out he's not so much fun to have as a house guest as shown in "Live-In Wade". Not for Kick, anyway. Ironically, having him as a house guest made the rest of the Buttowski family think of him as Fun Personified.
"Wacky" Jackie Wackerman
Voiced by: Maria Bamford
- Abhorrent Admirer: To Kick.
- Bespectacled Cutie: Wears glasses and, despite her crazy personality, she is quite cute.
- Betty and Veronica: The Betty to Kendall's Veronica for Kick's Archie.
- Blonde, Brunette, Redhead: The Brunette to Kendall's Blonde and Scarlet's Redhead.
- Dub Name Change: She's known as Ika Dzikowska in the Polish version. This is why characters say she's "dzika", which means "wild", rather than "wacky".
- Genki Girl: She is quite cheerful.
- I'm Your Biggest Fan: much to Kick's dismay.
- Loony Fan: Of Kick.
- Love Makes You Crazy: Her crush on Kick makes her come off as nuts.
- Tagalong Kid: when you are a Stalker with a Crush.
- Throw the Dog a Bone: Kick had intended to prank her at her birthday party for botching one of his stunts. When he sees that no one else showed up, though, he feels bad for her and throws her a memorable party.
- Tomboy and Girly Girl: Tomboy to Kendall's girly girl.
- Yandere: Sometimes falls into this.
Mr. Vickle
Voiced by: John DiMaggio
- Ambiguously Gay: His voice and outfit are flamboyant, and he enjoys stereotypically female hobbies like trimming hedges or bathing in his hot tub. Also, his reaction to finding Kick wearing makeup and a frilly pink dress is "Oh, no, Kick. That outfit is so not you - clashes with your skin tone."
- Masculine Girl, Feminine Boy: Is a lot nicer when compared to Ms. Chicarelli. Has the same dynamic with Ms. Dominic in "Dancing with the Enemy."
- Mr. Fanservice: Usually shown in his swimsuit.
- No Celebrities Were Harmed: Mr. Vickle's voice is based on Harvey Fierstein.
Mrs. Fitzpatrick
Voiced by: Roz Ryan
- Catchphrase: “Mmm-Hmm”. It’s even on her license plate.
- Sassy Black Woman: Just look at her Catchphrase.
- Stern Teacher: She is strict, but fair.
Magnus and Helga Magnusson
Voiced by: Clancy Brown (Magnus); April Winchell (Helga)
Gunther’s parents
- Compressed Hair: Exaggerated in "Sleepover" when one of Gunther's mom's pigtails is undone and it fills the entire house.
- Crazy-Prepared: Magnus keeps oars in his car in case of traffic jams. Which isn't half as crazy as the fact that it actually works.
- Girlish Pigtails: Helga.
- Large Ham: they're vikings after all.
- No Indoor Voice: Magnus.
- Norse by Norsewest: Their country of origin.
- Real Men Wear Pink: Magnus wears warrior kilts. And fish diapers, apparently. Don’t ask.
- Took a Level in Jerkass:
- Magnus. After what he put his son through in "Free Gunther", it's hard to like him at all.
- Brad's Room is proof of how Magnus and Harold aren't really close friends, if at all.
- Magnus. After what he put his son through in "Free Gunther", it's hard to like him at all.
Kendall Perkins
Voiced by: Emily Osment
- Academic Alpha Bitch: Straight A student and class president, she tends to be bossy and dismissive towards other people.
- The Ace: In "Pinch Sitter", she shows she can sleep, clean, and do algebra at the same time.
- Badass Bookworm: Turns out to be this in “Stuck Together”.
- Belligerent Sexual Tension: With Kick.
- Bizarre Taste in Food: Her favorite food is tuna surprise.
- Betty and Veronica: The Veronica to Jackie's Betty for Kick's Archie, as well as the Archie for Kick's Betty and Ronaldo's Veronica.
- Blonde, Brunette, Redhead: The Blonde to Jackie's Brunette and Scarlet's Redhead.
- Extracurricular Enthusiast: In "Snowpocalypse!" she even had her dad make a call to keep the school open on a snow day.
- First-Name Basis: She's the only one to consistently call Kick by his real name.
- Gasshole: A closet case example, but quite proud of it in private.
- Hidden Depths: "Hand in Hand" shows that Kendall is not only perfectly capable of keeping up with Kick in stunts, but is just a flatulent as Gunther.
- Jerkass Façade: In "Box Office Blitz" she dropped the Tsundere stuff instantly after Kick kissed her until she realised he was only doing it to hide from the usher, implying she's more insecure than crazy, see's Kick as a Master of the Mixed Message and is trying to match his energy.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: She may be an annoying girl on her first episodes, but after, we saw she is not that bad.
- Lovable Alpha Bitch: She tends to team with Kick in some episodes.
- Missing Mom: Her mom never appears on the show and her dad appears to be raising her as a single parent—but Word of God explains that Kendall's mother is in fact still around, but apparently just lives in another city (possibly meaning that Kendall's parents are divorced).
- Nerds Love Tough Schoolwork: It was the snow day episode that sealed it.
- Sympathetic Inspector Antagonist: Despite her Jerkass tendencies, she sometimes comes across as this, especially in "Pinch Sitter". It helped that Kick was being a Manipulative Bastard at the end of the episode.
- Official Couple: Her and Kick.
- Tomboy and Girly Girl: Girly Girl to Jackie's tomboy.
Ronaldo
Voiced by: Simon Helberg
- Betty and Veronica: The Veronica to Kick's Betty for Kendall's Archie.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He's might not be one of the nicest characters from the show, but he shows kindness and helps Kick and his friends if the situation needs.
- Love Makes You Dumb: When Kendall is involved, his intellect tends to take a hike. Kick has used this to his advantage more than once.
- Pet the Dog: In a quick glance, Ronaldo raised his fists in victory when he saw that Kick got the highest score on a test in "Roll Reversal."
- The Rival: To Kick.
- Trademark Favorite Food: Pretzel rods.
Mouth (Christopher)
- Voiced by: Richard Steven Horvitz
- A Day in the Limelight: "Big Mouth"

Emo Kid
- Voiced by: Greg Cipes
- Only Known by Their Nickname: He's only referred to as Emo Kid and his real name is never revealed.
- The Quiet One: He rarely speaks.
- Sensitive Guy and Manly Man: Sensitive to Mouth and Ronaldo's manly, being an emo boy who hates dodgeball.
- When He Smiles: Can be shown smiling on rare occasions.
Scarlet Rosetti
Voiced by: Alyssa Milano
- Birds of a Feather: With Kick.
- Blonde, Brunette, Redhead: The Redhead to Kendall's Blonde and Jackie's Brunette.
- Fashionable Asymmetry: Her sweater has one green sleeve and one green and purple striped sleeve.
- Town Girls: Her butch to Jackie's neither and Kendall's femme.
Horace and Pantsy
Voiced by: Greg Cipes (Horace); Harland Williams (Pantsy)
- Big Brother Bully: Pantsy is Mouth's older brother and treats him the way Brad treats Kick.
- Hidden Eyes: Horace has long hair, while Pantsy wears 3-D glasses.
- Jerkass: Understandable since they're both Brad's flunkies.
Hush and Razz
Voiced by: Tony Hawk (Hush); Ken Hudson Campbell (Razz)
- Hypocritical Humor: Looking at a Tug and Dangler the marionette doll in "Kyle 2.0" Wow, that's so weird that one of them talks a lot and one of 'em's quiet. Don't ya think so, Hush?
[Hush shrugs]

Antagonists
Gordon Gibble
Voiced by: Will Forte
Kick's greatest rival when it comes to stunt biking.
- Alliterative Name: Gordon Gibble.
- Beauty Is Bad: Possibly the best looking guy in the show. One of the biggest jerks in the show to boot!
- Book Dumb: Outside of stunt biking, he's generally incompetent at all things. He also regularly proves how incapable he is of Snark-to-Snark Combat.
- Cheaters Never Prosper: Well, not in the long run, anyway.
- Embarrassing Middle Name: Gertrude.
- Girly Girl with a Tomboy Streak. A rare male example. Despite being very vain and appearance obsessed along with being afraid of goo and wearing makeup he is also the only character to rival Kick in Xtreme stunts.
- In Touch with His Feminine Side: He acts very effeminate, as he's afraid of touching goo and is obsessed with his appearance.
- Jerkass: He's the only Kick nemesis that fully a jerk and didn't show any kindness or even empathy towards him at all.
- Pet the Dog: Attends a party for Kick as the DJ in "Last Fan Standing."
- Rich Bitch: A rare male version.
- The Rival
- Screw the Rules, I Have Money!
- Sensitive Guy and Manly Man: The effeminate sensitivity guy to Kick's serious manly man.
- Sitcom Arch-Nemesis: He's not so much evil or even mean as he is annoying.
- Royal Brat/Spoiled Brat
The DiPazzi Twins
Voiced by: Sandro Corsaro
Gordon's mooks
- Comically Cross-Eyed: They're often shown crosseyed to make them look more idiotic.
- Dumb Muscle
- Early-Bird Cameo: They made a brief appearance in an episode that aired before Gordie’s first appearance.
- I Owe You My Life: Kick saves their lives in "Meathead Justice" and feel indebted to him, so they abandon Gordon for him. Their help is extremely questionable, so Kick tries to find a way to make them go away.
- Identical Twin ID Tag: One of them is cross-eyed.
Mrs. Chicarelli
Voiced by: Mindy Sterling
- Child Hater: She hates kids for an unknown reason.
- Cranky Neighbor: A stereotypical older neighbor who hates fun and kids.
- Even Evil Has Standards: She joins in the fun when a party is thrown for Kick in "Last Fan Standing."
- Evil Redhead: It's hard to see, but she is red haired.
- Jerkass: She is nothing but a jerk to everyone around her.
- Masculine Girl, Feminine Boy: Is cruel and grouchy when compared to Mr. Vickle.
- The Starscream: To Principal Henry in "Detained".
Kelly
Voiced by: Emmanuelle Chriqui
- Alpha Bitch: She’s quite the fitting example of this (beautiful yet bitchy, only thinks of herself, a cheerleader, has Brad wrapped around her finger until the end) except she’s not blonde.
- Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: She pretends to like Brad, but she’s really just dating him for her cheerleader initiation.
- Jerk with a Heart of Jerk: When it seems like she’s going to show some sympathy to the heartbroken Brad, she just laughs along with the other cheerleaders.
