Ninth out. 10th place. Was eliminated via double elimination twist in Episode 10. Returns in Hoenn Havoc.
Ludwig is a Steel-type Trainer from Vermillion City, Kanto. His starter Pokémon is a Beldum. His final team is a Metagross. In Hoenn Havoc his starter Pokémon is a Shieldon. His current team is a Bastiodon and a Skarmory.
- Butt-Monkey: The poor guy runs into a lot of awkward situations in Hoenn.
- Can't Take Criticism: It makes him cry.
- Non-Gameplay Elimination: Despite winning against Trixie, he was eliminated in a double elimination regardless of the outcome. This was used by Theo to get Ludwig to complete in his place.
- He's Back!: He returns in Hoenn Havoc after Theo drops him off to serve as the Steel-type representative in his place.
- Official Couple: With Trixie.
- Only Sane Man: In Hoenn, he's one of the most levelheaded members of a fairly wild and quirky cast.
- Unwitting Pawn: To Theo, who uses him to return to the region by using Region Trotters as a loophole.
- Walking Spoiler: His return in Hoenn.
Trixie Masterson

Eighth out. 11th place. Lost to Ludwig in Episode 10.
Trixie is a Psychic-type Trainer from Lumiose City, Kalos. Her starter Pokémon is an Espurr. Her final team is a Meowstic and an Alakazam.
- Official Couple: With Ludwig.
- Psychic Powers: She has telepathy.
Malika Carter
Grass-type
Seventh out. 12th place. Lost to Alan in Episode 9.
Malika is a Grass-type Trainer from Heahea City, Alola. Her starter Pokémon is a Bounsweet. Her final team is a Tsareena, and a Breloom.
- Cuteness Proximity: Big time.
- Freaky Fashion, Mild Mind: Despite looking almost like a rock star, she's one of the kindest of the cast.

- Happily Adopted: Was this since she was young after losing her birth parents in a Koffing attack.
- Perky Goth: Known as the 'Perkiest' of the Goths.
Ryuma Scifo

Sixth out. 13th place. Lost to Amber in Episode 7.
Ryuma is a Dragon-type Trainer from Seafolk Village, Alola. His starter Pokémon is a Jangmo-o. His final team is a Kommo-o, and a Gyarados.
Joey Young
Normal-type
Fifth out. 14th place. Lost to Ludwig in Episode 6.
Joey is a Normal-Type Trainer from Veilstone City, Sinnoh. His starter Pokémon is a Bidoof. His final team is a Bibarel, and a Raticate.
