Sarasa Watanabe
Sarasa Watanabe

The main character. She is a Kouka actress-aspirant at the Kouka School who stands out of the rest of the Centennial Class and the entire school, and not just because of her bubbly demeanor and being the tallest student in the school.- All-Loving Hero: Sarasa is pretty close, consistently supporting everyone around her, including Sawa Sugimoto when they became rivals for a role.
- Genki Girl: Sarasa is very energetic and cheerful, much to the annoyance of others at first.
- Girlish Pigtails: Wears her hair in twintails.
- Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: Her hair is blonde with turquoise tips, and is always nice to others no matter what.
- Nice Girl: Very friendly and outgoing and willing to help those in need.
Ai Narata
Voiced by: Yumiri Hanamori (Japanese), Xanthe Huynh (English)
A former idol expelled from her group because of her trust issues with men, she applied at the Kouka School to escape her past and men in particular.- Defrosting Ice Queen: When the series starts, she's stoic, closed-off, and perpetually annoyed by Sarasa's presence. But as the series goes on, she slowly comes out of her shell and begins to befriend the other girls.
- Does Not Like Men: Because her mother's partner sexually abused her as a child.
- Expository Hairstyle Change: Her hair is quite short at the start of the series and grows episode to episode, starting in the 5th episode after opening up and offering to be friends with Sarasa. This shows both the setting of time and a very gradual personality change. By the time the series ends, her hair has grown out past shoulder length.
Sawa Sugimoto
Voiced by: Sumire Uesaka (Japanese), Corey Pettit (English)
Being a huge Kouka fan, she enrolls at the Kouka School, skipping her chance to become a prima ballerina. She is the class representative of the Centennial Class. Ayako Yamada
Voiced by: Riko Sasaki (Japanese), Megan Shipman (English)
Timid, shy, and plagued with problems concerning her weight, she almost quit the school due to the pressure; but, despite being underrated, she is one of the most talented performers in the Centennial Class.- Despair Event Horizon: Nearly crosses it in Episode 5, after her collapse due to her declining health from trying to lose weight by regurgitating her insides from binge eating.
- Heroic BSoD: In Episode 5, after her collapse from her declining health from binge eating and vomiting in an attempt to lose weight, feeling like she is failing in achieving her dream to be a kouka actress, she actually contemplates giving up and quitting the school to return to her family. Fortunately, Onodera-sensei's pep talk through the door convinces her to stay and returns to class and performs an amazing solo after a few days' rest.
- Shrinking Violet: She is very timid and shy.
Kaoru Hoshino
Voiced by: Yo Taichi (Japanese), Amanda Lee (English)
Daughter of a second-generation Kouka actress and is in the same class as Sarasa and Ai.- Boyish Short Hair: She originally starts out with shoulder-length hair at the beginning of the series, but starting in Episode 8, she has her hair cut to a short pixie for her otokoyaku roles.
