- Butt-Monkey: All of them to an extent, especially Anakin

- Jack is blue

- Four-Philosophy Ensemble:
- Jack is the Optimist
- Robbie is the Cynic

- Not Allowed to Grow Up: pretty much all the characters are this, and we don't even know their age!
- They Killed Kenny: All the characters get this every so often, but none worse than Anakin. They were killed one by one in the "Who Killed Him Story Arc
- Vague Age: All of them are between 10 and 14 years old. (except for R2)
Jack
The idiotic main protagonist who loves cola and bad puns.
- Author Avatar: Ya don't say.
- Book Dumb: His history report was written about what history was.
- Chew Toy: Poor kid almost has it as rough as Anakin
- Cloud Cuckoo Lander: Is this firmly.
- The Ditz
- Dumbass Has a Point: On occasion,
- Expy: Of Edd from Eddsworld both being male brown haired silly leaders who like cola and puns.
- The Fool
- Good Scars, Evil Scars: He has a scar which he covers with his bang.
- Genki Guy/Genki Girl: Considering his personality, and the fact [[spoilers: he's an in-universe Rule 63]] this trope counts.
- Here We Go Again!: he screamed out in terror "Not again!" as his school locker was eating him alive! Oh, and it's this cute:[1]◊
- The Leader: Not an intelligent one, but still one.
- Lethally Stupid: The other characters would be safer and better off with out his stupidity
- Pungeon Master: A lot of comics revolve around his puns and how the other characters react.
- Rule 63: Is revealed to be one of a character named "Jackie in comic 71
- Tempting Fate: Thrice, once he won a snow ball fight and commented on how this was the first time he's ever done this only to be shot by Robbie then when he was trapped in the dimension where everyone's a carrot he asked where all the carrot people are, then one came and killed him. Another time he wondered if he was in the universe where he's the opposite gender, this was true to his dismay
- Spear Counterpart: he is one to an character from an alternate dimension
- Stupid Good
- Trademark Favorite Food: Poke(a Cola)
- They Killed Kenny: All most gets this as bad as Anakin.
- Those Two Guys: With either Robbie or Joey depending on the comic's punchline.
- Too Dumb to Live: He literally is this due to the Negative Continuity. He uses his locker which has killed him the past and continues to make bad puns even though Robbie murders him for them.
- Wide-Eyed Idealist: He seems to friendly to almost everybody.
- Why did it have to be spiders: He is an arachnophobic.
- Your Brain Won't Be Much of a Meal: A zombi once outright refused to eat him due to his lack of brains.
Robbie
Jack's evil best friend and anti hero of the strip, he is very rude.
- Axe-Crazy: Beneath his calm persona he is utterly insane and violent.
- Big Bad: Of the "New Come" story arc.
- Big "NO!": in comic 18.
- Bread, Eggs, Milk, Squick: In one comics his friends were getting innocent things from the mailman, but he got a set of "evil super computers"
- Deadpan Snarker: He's quite sarcastic at times.
- Disproportionate Retribution: He murders Jack for his puns. Often.
- Enfant Terrible: Assuming he's a child.
- For the Evulz: He committed a massacre at the local bank for seemingly no reason over than that he's Axe Craxy.
- It's All About Me: Seems to care more about himself and his goals than his friends.
- Jerkass:Definitely a Big "NO!" He finds out It Was All Just A Dream and goes back to sleep only to be stalked by three R2s.
- Jerk with a Heart of Jerk: He really doesn't care about anyone other than himself, in some way's he's more narcissistic than Anakin.
- Go-Karting with Bowser: Despite being Obviously Evil, he is still a member the gang and hangs out with them
- Good Scars, Evil Scars: he sports an anti hero scar, but it doesn't extend above his eye.
- Gun Nut: Ya think[2]
- Karma Houdini: He is still a bit of a Butt-Monkey, but not as much as his friends.
- Kids Are Cruel / Teens Are Monsters
- The Lancer: He is Jack's opposite in almost every way.
- Morality Pet: Jack is an on and off one for him.
- Nominal Hero: He's evil.
- Noodle Incident: he has some quarrel with The Head Less Horseman
- Sadist: It's implied he finds pain funny.
- Sociopathic Hero: He seems to lack morality.
- Temporarily a Villain: In several comics, most nobly in the "New Comer" story arc. When this happens he's often the Big Bad.
- Token Evil Team Mate
- Trigger-Happy: He's all to happy to shoot something.
- Unmanly Secret: he likes pop music and sings it in the bathroom.
- With Friends Like These... He hated R2-D2's mechanical guts
- Villain Protagonist
R2-D 2
- Chuck Cunningham Syndrome: Before being properly Retconned he became increasingly minor.
- Cloud Cuckoolander: a role that's also shared by Jack.
- Early-Installment Weirdness: His whole existence is this.
- Retcon: was removed from the strips due to his plain oddness of existing
- Really 700 Years Old: Well he was made "A long time ago in a galaxy far far away"
- Send in the Clones: In one comic Robbie was fighting against an unknown threat,only to reveal it's an army of R2s. After
- Temporarily a Villain in comic 58
- Those Two Guys: He and Joey can be called this.
- Too Dumb to Live: He went on an adventure in to a scary cave that's home to a giant spider.
Joey
- Characterization Marches On: He was originally as his comrades, mostly because of his normal-ness
- Curtains Match the Window: He has brown eyes and hair.
- Idiot Ball: Holds one in Comic 47
- Neck Snap: Does this to himself on accident in comic 47 attempting to move his head like an owl.
- Oh, Crap!: Has this look on his face when Robbie threatens him to keep secret the fact that he sings pop songs
- Only Sane Man: Is this to the group.
- The Smart Guy: is this for the group too.
- Those Two Guys: Him and R2 were this, he latter formed one with Jack
Anakin
Anakin is simply a character made him being physically abused, it's a little creepy knowing that he is one of Jack's best friends in real life, and comparing how he's treated in the show, but oh well.
- Anti-Hero: He's done some less than heroic things, though not to the extent of Robbie.
- Casanova Wannabe: He loves the ladies. But his bad luck and egoism gets in his way though
- Chew Toy: He is abused physically mentally, and emotionally in almost all his appearances and usually dies in them.
- Day In The Lime Light: Any comic before 2016 about him are this.
- Disproportionate Retribution: He once (seemingly) willingly died from being bald.
- Innocently Insensitive: He accidentally annoyed his date when he told her he loved himself too.
- Informed Deformity: He is slightly deviant from the others in terms of character design, but isn't as ugly as he is said to be.
- It's All About Me: He seems to believe the universe IS centered around him
- Kids Are Cruel / Teens Are Monsters: He tore out Jack's eyeball because they reflective his face.
- Know-Nothing Know-It-All: He seems to fancy himself as smarter than he really is, and acts like a know-it all despite his idiocy.
- Narcissist: He's this when he's alive. A prime example is when he was on a date with a girl and when she said she loved him his response was:
- Non-Standard Character Design: Not extreme, but he has a square head, and extra finger on bot hands, and wears different clothing from his peers.
- Oh, Crap!: You can tell by the look on his face when he gets stabbed in the stomach randomly by a sword.
- Out of Focus: He was first introduced as a background character, but then he appeared with the the other four main characters in a few group shots. He finally had his first lines a year after his debuted, but only had limited roles after that and rarely spoke. This problem for him stopped in 206 though.
- Pride: his fatal flaw
- They Killed Kenny: He gets it worse than the others, so much worse.
- Too Dumb to Live: He made puns with Jack at a giant monster.

Harry
Jack's seldom seen older brother- Ambiguously Evil: Jack believes he was a murderer in one comic, and this is Played With for the rest of the strip.
- The Cameo: In "Mega Idiots"
- Early-Bird Cameo: he made a few cameos in picture frames before his debut.
- Spiky Hair
Leif
- The Bus Came Back: After nearly a year of absence he returned in the comic "Never Anger R2", he was never seen again afterwards
- Chuck Cunningham Syndrome: He was never seen again after the arc he first appeared in aside one time.
- Child Prodigy/Teen Genius: Although he has an Vague Age like everyone else he defiantly qualifies as one of the two.
- TV Genius: Despite being a super genius he tried to turn R2-D2 on starring at him.
- What Ever Happened To The Mouse: In the New Comer story arc, he is scene being taken away from a mutant very briefly in the background and isn't seen again afterwards. he was subsequently seen only once again ever.
Dusty
Jack's pet cat.- Cats Are Mean: Adverted, she is very nice
- Cute Kitten: Is this for Jack

Zombis
Recurring creatures in the strip- Big Bad: One serves this role in the "Who Killed Him" story Arc. The the Cloaked Figure/Little Jimmy(who is the one that's been murdered) was the true main antagonist and titular murder.
- Chekhov's Gunman: Little Jimmy.
- The Dog Was The Master Mind: Little Jimmy/The Cloaked figure play this trope well as he was accusing the gang of murdering Jimmy.
- Spell My Name With An S: Or rather with out an "e"
- Walking Spoiler: Little Jimmy
- Zombie Apocalypse: Played With, Zombis appear semi-frequently, but a full on apocalypse has never seemed to happen.
- Your Brain Won't Be Much of a Meal: They seem uninterested in Jack.
Giant Spider
A giant spider that showed up in the comic "Adventure Time" [[spoilers:and the "Who Killed Him Part 2"]- The Bus Came Back: In Who Killed Him Part 2
- The Cameo has a major one in Who Killed Him (Part 2)
- Giant Space Flea Out Of No Where: Whiles possibly justified in "Adventure Time" as Jack and R2 went out on an adventure, it's appearance in [[spoilers:Who Killed Him Part 2]] was completely out of nowhere.
- Giant Spider
- Monster of the Week: Of "Adventure Time"
- Small Role, Big Impact: in Who Killed Him, as it killed Jack and eliminated him as a suspect a threat to Little Jimmy.
- Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: Jack hates spiders and is therefor it's main victim.

A boy with a "wave hairstyle"- The Cameo: He is one of Jack's friends who requested to make one in his strip. His named latter reappeared on a list of students almost ten strips later.
- Pun: After revealing the name of his hair style [[spoilers:a giant wave appeared]]

A cyclops who's bent on the destruction of... something.- Lame Pun Reaction: To Jack and Anakin
- Monster of the Week: Of "Eye See You"
