Hithafol

Vegala Infinity

    In General
The holy shrine that houses the IRIS and the three deities of Vegala located in the very center of the galaxy. It was meant to remain in Hithafol before the IRIS' freedom caused the Cradyl Primus to become unstable and send the whole of Vegala Infinity to Yondrathol.
  • Our Gods Are Different: The divine are separate into three different tiers.
    • The Deities: Hithistrus, Yondathaticus, and Wondramite. These three are the embodiment of the galaxy itself, overseeing the lives and deaths of the planets they create and choosing new gods for any new planet created; they command all and are greatly worshiped. They are also the ones who created the IRIS.
    • Planetary Gods: Those specifically chosen by the deities to oversee their designated planets. They aren't meant to intervene or save the planets they watch. They are only meant to observe and record any new information that would eventually be stored within the IRIS' divine archives. They remain loyal to the deities.
    • Vegalian Citizens: The more normal folk that do not have any specific assignment. Candidates for becoming Planetary Gods are found among this level.
  • Rage Against the Heavens: After the deities destroyed their home and they were rallied by Father Tyrant, the Vegalian citizens began to rebel against the deities when they were finally confronted with their true nature.

"What past could possibly keep me here?!"
A Hero's Descension

A hybrid of Vegalian and dark matter, Goliath is the sole child of Father Tyrant and Lady Fate. With orders from his father, Goliath would become the sole guard of the Encrypt. He would take on this role for a lengthy period of time, leaving him isolated from the rest of the Depths, and it would have been for an eternity had it not been for Abrahm's actions. After his parents give him instructions to use the IRIS to close the wormhole Abrahm caused, he would follow through... He would succeed but, in the aftermath, the Depths were in ruins and and there were no survivors save for himself; living on as a skeleton with the IRIS merged with him.

  • Baritone of Strength: Goliath's pre-explosion self was very much muscular and it is mentioned that his abilities in combat were akin to a juggernaut. His voice would match this in both roughness and octave.
  • Non-Human Humanoid Hybrid: This is the result of the Mothohive drawing and absorbing Vegalian blood from Tyrant and Fate and producing the egg that Goliath would eventually hatch from; he inherits dark matter traits from the Mothohive while inheriting Vegalian traits from his parents.
  • The Only One: Due to his unique strength and ability compared to the colony's own army forces, he is described by Father Tyrant to be the "only form of defense against the darkest age of all", making him the only person capable of guarding the Encrypt.
  • Sinister Scythe: Goliath's weapon of choice post-explosion as he wields his father's Havok Scythe after his death.
  • Stripped to the Bone: In his attempt to close the wormhole with the IRIS, it would cause a great explosion that would bring devastation to the Depths and permanently destroy his body. He would have been dead...
    • Dem Bones: ...Had it not been for the IRIS merging with him as it is the very thing keeping him alive.
  • Unbreakable Bones: Goliath has been described to have "the strongest bone structure known to mankind". This holds truth as that is what remains of him after the explosion.

"Do you see? Finally? Have your eyes brung themselves to attention?"
Story of Vegala, Chapter 8/9

Born Vegalian, Father Tyrant is a leader figure in both rebellious force and being the king of the Depths. He has endured divine wrath and severe isolation before his peers finally listened to his words. Long after taking charge of leading the Depths, he would lead an army of the Onyx Colony's soldiers into a great battle against the Mothohive which would lead to the birth of his son, Goliath.

  • Deal with the Devil: In Jaws of Dawn, Father Tyrant makes a deal with Vyson Pavavorey, the ruler of the Damned after having been banished there with his colony by Tyrant and Fate during a war, to bring his soldiers back to life so that they can defeat the Mothohive. Their price is that when Tyrant's firstborn dies, he will be sent to the Damned to be tortured for eternity.
  • Divine Punishment: Tyrant questions the deities' decision to create Vegala 0 just to see it perish which leads to him being put into a tight prison and isolated for a lengthy period of time.
  • Foregone Conclusion: While we know that Father Tyrant was present during Jaws of Dawn and his backstory has been revealed through Story of Vegala, he, alongside Lady Fate, will still end up dying due to Abrahm's machinations.
  • Hypocrisy Nod: As seen in the post-credits of the Story of Vegala epilogue; Father Tyrant acknowledges to himself how hypocritical he was being that he sought to reveal the truth hidden by the deities yet was hiding more from his own son.
Father Tyrant: Was it cruel? Perhaps… But was it crueler for him to know? Maybe selfish…
  • Rage Against the Heavens: After being imprisoned for questioning the deities and finding deceptions within the knowledge they provide, Tyrant would eventually lead a rebellion against the higher powers of Vegala and restrengthen its people after their home was shattered by the deities' hands.

"I've been waiting far too long to smell that bittersweet victory."
Transmission 1

The eldest son of Gabriel and Bethany Valentin and sole ruler of Nadoria, Abrahm Valentin is spiteful and tyrannical figure. He grew up with little to no connection to the people around him and he didn't get along with his brother, Jebodiah, very well. Due to this, Gabriel gave Abrahm the company of Dovahcom, initially in the form of a device known as the Dovahcare. Driven by anger towards his father due to the trauma he had endured and not knowing the truth as to why, he sought for power in efforts to rid the world of Gabriel's influence. Through the tampering of an ether boulder, he would come across the existence of the IRIS, leading to the creation of the Dimetrix.

  • Cain and Abel: The Cain to Jebodiah's Abel.
  • Childhood Friends: Is this with Dovahcom.
  • Evil Laugh: A very unsettling one, at that. He gives off one during Transmission 7 at the end of the BioBond presentation and at the end of the Deadlock Transmission.
  • Freudian Excuse: His father, Gabriel murdered his mother, Bethany, right in front of him and was made by Gabriel to dig up her grave.
  • Freudian Excuse Is No Excuse: Despite this, Dovahmoira rightfully calls Abrahm out in regards to his actions in the Vegala Transmission.
Dovahmoira: You brought your whole civilization to ruins and ash because of a purely selfish interest. [...] Thanks to your selfish addiction to finding every horrid detail of an honorable leader who blessed this planet before you got your hands in his machines. You changed the world, and the cost was ruins.
  • From Nobody to Nightmare: Went from an innocent young boy to a psychotic and genocidal maniac.
  • It's Personal: He has become Goliath's most personal enemy, as he is responsible for the events that led to both of his parents' deaths.
  • Lonely Rich Kid: Especially during his childhood. He didn't have the best relationship with his brother and his only friend was Dovahcom.
  • Villainous Breakdown: Abrahm undergoes this during the Vegala Transmission in response to Dovahmoira calling him out, even going as far as to start shooting at the screen during it.
  • Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds: He sought for power in order to rid of the world of Gabriel's influence, even going as far as to have his BioTides attack and kill numerous people and have them turned into more BioBonds. Not only that, but he even resorted to genocide. Then again, it was because of the trauma his father inflicted upon him that made him this way.

"Consider it done, Sire."
Transmission 3

Created by Gabriel Valentin, Dovahcom is an artificial intelligence that helps run the Domeplex and acts as both Abrahm's assistant and his only true friend. Within his code, however, is his failsafe state and system BIOS known as Dovahmoira. Both sides of the AI have shown their own hints of personality and, after Connecting and Disconnecting with Abrahm, have shown to develop more cognitive thought.

  • A.I. Is a Crapshoot: Downplayed as they still remain loyal to Abrahm. In Transmission 9, the Mothohive's shriek triggers a power outage in the Domeplex. This power outage corrupts Dovahcom's failsafe system, Dovahmoira. After overpowering and taking over Dovahcom, Dovahmoira proceeds to "connect" with Abrahm, merging the two into one with Abrahm at the helm. Despite the trope being downplayed, he is much more willing to call out Abrahm's actions compared to Dovahcom as shown in the Vegala Transmission.
  • Childhood Friends: Is this with Abrahm.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Dovahcom has a tendency to be this.
Abrahm: I know this! I've done my research! Ask all of my friends!
    Dovahcom: Friends, sire?
    Abrahm: JUST GET TO WORK!!!
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Dovahmoira invokes this alongside Freudian Excuse Is No Excuse towards Abrahm during the Vegala Transmission, calling out how his anger has blinded him and lead to his actions bringing ruin to Nadoria.
Dovahmoira: You were blinded by so much hatred that it was all you saw... And when people realized that is all you wanted to do... You were abandoned, leaving you to be a pathetic, bitter, and lonely speck of dirt.
  • Synthetic Voice Actor: Both versions Dovahmoira's voice are this.
