Cryptids
A massive bird slumbering beneath the Superstition Mountains.
- I Just Want to Be Free: Kanina finally stops its rampage by offering to let it fly around freely in an area reserved for tests by the Air Force; the military can agree not to bother the Thunderbird (though they can inspect it from a distance) and can also keep out anyone else who might try to bug it.
Canada's equivalent of the Loch Ness monster. Apex Moth wants his DNA as part of his research.
- Posthumous Character: By the time the heroes find him, he's already been killed by Cryptiq.
Humans
A young girl who was USA GI's original owner.
- Posthumous Character: She died when America dropped a nuclear warhead on Hiroshima.
A veterinarian who was supposed to help euthanize USA GI but instead smuggled him out of the clinic.
- Uncertain Doom: It's unknown if he somehow survived the destruction of Hiroshima.
A woman whose deafness was miraculously cured.
- Seers: Has a vision of Apex Moth causing unspeakably horrific disasters and surrounded by his hordes of monsters.
Vicki's boss.
- Bad Boss: She thinks nothing of calling up Vicki and ordering her to work on the weekend, seemingly for no other reason than everyone else in the office having plans. Vicki also notes Kristen doesn't seem to care about her samples and may just discard them.
Another heroine who worked with Lansky, at least for a short while.
- The Ghost: Major Babe never appeared in person, and it was mentioned offhand that Lansky's agency eventually fired her after she accused Schultz of harassing her.
Patrick Retter's sister.
- The Resenter: Dani clearly resents how Patrick is so consumed by his duties that he doesn't support their sick mother as much as she thinks he should.
Patrick's dying mother.
- Killed Off for Real: She dies after finally succumbing to her illness, though her passing is eased by Patrick being present and comforting her.
Patrick Retter's dead father.
- Posthumous Character: He was shot to death in a traffic stop when Patrick was still a kid.
Retter's superior in the church. He wants Retter to focus more on filling pews and left on dealing with supernatural events.
- Bad Boss: He's rude and disrespectful to Retter, and he also opposes Retter dealing with supernatural problems even though Retter is the official exorcist for the region and it's therefore his job to investigate such things.
A family in Ritter's parish. The married couple John and Lucy are devout, but after their daughter Violet dies from drug usage and their other daughter Gemma vanishes, Lucy's faith is severely tested.
- Crisis of Faith: Lucy has one after one of her daughters dies and the other vanishes. It ends once Gemma is rescued.
Mascots
A big anthropomorphic cat who has his own theme park.
