Daniel J. Brown
The main protagonist of the series.
- Formerly Fit: At the end of the third game, he willingly fattens himself up using Joseph Sullivan's instantly fattening ice cream so Rod will kidnap him and take him to his factory, allowing Daniel to try and save his captured friends.
- Kid Hero: He might be just a kid but he won't hesitate to save others from Rod.
Charlie Owens
One of the kids kidnapped by the Rod.
Mike Carter
One of the kids kidnapped by Rod.
- Chubby Chaser: He has a crush on Lis, who is overweight.
- Formerly Fit: At the start of the third game, Rod fattens him up using Joseph Sullivan's instantly fattening ice cream.
- The Smart Guy: He created a makeshift rifle that fires electricity.
Lis
One of the kids kidnapped by Rod. She's Charlie's sister.
Antagonists
Rod Sullivan
A crazy ice cream maker who has a weird obsession with chubby kids.
- Big Bad: The main antagonist of the series.
- Child Hater: His whole reason for killing kids is that he hates them because he was bullied in school.
- Even Evil Has Loved Ones: He seems to deeply care for his father even after the latter's death.
- Evil Genius: He modified his adoptive father's mask to be able to instantly freeze people and created a series of robots.
- Faux Affably Evil: He always acts cheerful and friendly to lure kids.
- Freeze Ray: His mask is able to freeze people.
- Freudian Excuse: He was bullied in school for being fat which is why he grew up to be a child-hating murderous bastard. Not that it's nearly enough to make him sympathetic of course.
- Hypocrite: He hates fat children despite having once been fat himself and bullied for it.
- The Kindnapper: It's essentially his second job.
- Made of Iron: He can get shocked with the electro-gun, caught in a small explosion, hit with microwave radiation from a microwave gun, and run over by a train, but he will only be knocked out.
- Used to Be a Sweet Kid: Implied. He used to be friendly before he was bullied by other kids and took it hard after his father died.
- Villain Song: He has a small one.
I'm going to kill some kids today.
I'm looking for the chump plubby ones.
I'm going to find me some chubby kids.
And I'm gonna make some ice cream fun.
- Would Hurt a Child: Especially if said child is chubby.
Rod's crocodile
Rod's crocodile pet.
- Monster Is a Mommy: There are eggs in the crocodile's nest, indicating it is female and expecting offspring.
- Never Smile at a Crocodile: She is an antagonist and will try to attack you
- Undying Loyalty: The crocodile does not deliberately attack Rod even if he walks right through the pond she's in, though she can accidentally charge into him and knock him out if she makes contact with him while chasing the player.
Spoiler Character
Sister Madeline/Evil Nun
The main antagonist of the Evil Nun games, who also happens to be Rod's mother.- Connected All Along: The third game's secret ending reveals her and Rod to be related.
- Even Evil Has Loved Ones: She seems to genuinely care for Rod.
- Walking Spoiler: Just the fact she exists within the Ice Scream continuity is a spoiler.
Mini Rods
Small robots patrolling the factory.
Boris
An enormous robot built by Rod and serving as his factory's security guard.
- Mook Lieutenant: He is Rod's strongest robot, and his second in command.
- Berserk Button: He dislikes and kills him when J. tries to enter the door.
