Compacts

    Sons of Cú Chulainn
Originally an Irish-American charitable fraternal order, the Sons of Cú Chulainn changed when a group of them accidentally ended up finding their way to the Hedge while travelling in Ireland. After a confrontation with a creature there, they came in contact with a tribe of Celts who had been trapped there since the Iron Age, and survived building a village here. Upon learning about fairies from them, the two formed an alliance, eventually leading to their evolution as a compact.

  • Anachronism Stew: Since their compact includes both people from modern times and iron age Celts, they took a liking of combining the tactics of the two, resulting in them using both kevlar, assault rifles, broadswords and warpaints.
  • Band of Brothers: Being originally born from a fraternal order, they tend to have a strong camaderie between them. A side effect of their Endowment is that they can very easily spot traitors, making trust easier among the group.
  • Combat Pragmatist: Played with, since against fae and changelings it doesn't always come down to a fight and the group is mentioned using several other means (notably singing) to force fae beings out of their territory.
  • Fighting Irish: They are Irish-American fairy-hunters.
  • Fish out of Temporal Water: A frequent problem for their Celt members; seeing how they spent most of their life away from the real world, trapped in the Hedge, sticking to their culture from the Iron Age, they often need time to get used to modern times.

    Wilde Society
An association of artists who see Fairies as a source of inspiration, and willingly expose themselves to Glamour as way to create beautiful pieces of arts like you would with drugs. This grants them an impressive intuition when dealing with anything fae, but unfortunately for other hunters, they are infamously uninterested in actually helping others in the Vigil.

  • Artistic Stimulation: They use Glamour as a drug to stimulate their artistic inspiration.
  • Bystander Syndrome: One of the main reasons they are a source of frustration for other hunters; despite their abilities being extremely useful against fairies, they consider themselves artists rather than hunters, and as such tend to refuse taking parts in conflicts.
  • Dirty Coward: Other hunters perceive them as such, since they refuse to actively take part in defending mortals against monsters.
  • Functional Addict: They are technically addicted to Glamour, but while this can result into insanity, it isn't quite as dangerous as heroin; as such, it is possible for them to still live normal lives.
  • Insanity Immunity: Thanks to their exposure to Glamour, they are immune to the insanity usually caused by the supernatural.
  • Mad Artist: Their entire hat; they intentionally expose themselves to Glamour and fae for the sole purpose of getting inspiration for their art.

    Searchlight
An association of people who lost their children and loved ones to the True Fae, and are trying to get them back.

  • Mama Bear: They are trying to take back the children who were taken from them by the True Fae, and they are ruthless about it.

Conspiracy

    Office of the Lord Stewards
A government organization from the United Kingdom, whose job consists in making sure various deals between supernatural forces on their land and the human population are respected.
  • Beethoven Was an Alien Spy: John Dee was the one who founded their group.
  • Magically-Binding Contract: There are secretly multiple contracts like this the British Government has inherited for generations. The Stewards' job is to ensure they are maintained.
  • Reasoning with God: The entire point of their organization; the Lord Stewards are in charge of negotiating and maintaining accords with the various supernatural forces in Britannia.
  • Speaks Fluent Animal: One of the use their Endowment has.
  • Technical Pacifist: They are the only conspiracy in the entire game whose Endowments have no offensive function, and despite working for the government, they aren't allow to carry gun. After all, their role is to act as mediators and ambassadors, not soldiers. However as part of the government they can always point the army, police, or spooks at someone.
