The Fantastic Four

    open/close all folders
    Reed Richards
  • Age Lift: He's a young adult, not a complete adult.
  • Motor Mouth: Sue wants to talk with Reed, but he's busy. To prove it, Ben simply aims the phone towards him, so she can hear him talking about science gibberish.
  • The Smart Guy: He's the brain behind the spaceship program.

    Sue Storm
  • Adaptational Backstory Change: She does not board the ship with the gang simply because of being Reed's girlfriend: she's the owner of the whole project, before Wingfoot took it from her.
  • Badass Normal: Even before having powers, she could hold herself in a fight.
  • Barrier Warrior: Her other power.
  • Invisibility: It's one of her powers.
  • Required Secondary Powers: Sue turned herself invisible, along with her clothes. Reed understood that meant she also had the power to project invisibility onto other things.

    Johnny Storm
  • The Casanova: He even has a disposable girl in his very first scene.
  • Nepotism: He has a stake in the spaceship program, and he's required to initiate the launching codes, but only because he's Sue's little brother.
  • Wreathed in Flames: His main power as the Human Torch.

    Ben Grimm
  • Age Lift: Like Reed, he's now closer in age to Sue and Johnny instead of being a middle-aged man.
  • Adaptational Backstory Change: He's a veteran of The Gulf War, not WWII.
  • Heroic BSoD: Turning into the Thing left him shocked, to the point that the moloids took him, placed in a sacrificial rock and summoned a giant beast, and he could only keep saying that this was not happening.
  • Rock Monster: He became one after being exposed to the cosmic rays.

Villains

    Wyatt Wingfoot
  • Adaptational Villainy: Downplayed. At first, he appeared to be this, a mole for Dr. Doom inside of S.H.I.E.L.D. However, that "Wingfoot" turned out to be the HR version of the Super-Skrull and the real Wyatt is indeed a good guy.
  • The Men in Black: As a SHIELD agent, it's almost mandatory.
  • The Mole: He's a SHIELD agent. Actually, he's a Latveria agent. Actually, he's a Skrull posing as a Latveria agent that poses as a SHIELD agent.
  • Time-Passage Beard: When Wingfoot The real one shows up after his ordeal, asking for the help of Reed Richards.
