Leadership and heroes

Councillor Phlunt

An old member of the Arcane Council. He attends the world summit on behalf of the Asura.
  • Dirty Coward: Whenever the fighting starts, he'll run over and hide in the corner, protected by his guards.
  • Grumpy Old Man: He never seems to be in a good mood, and complains about everything.
  • Jerkass: Thoroughly unpleasant to deal with - he even takes away one of Taimi's inventions until she's old enough to take actual ownership of it.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Jerk: To the extent it borders on parody in the Flashpoint living season episode, when after Balthazar leaves and an army of mercenaries attacks the heroes, Phlunt shows up with a small army of combat capable golems... to save his research.
  • Non-Action Guy: He never takes part in any fighting, instead hiding over in some corner with his guards.

Kranxx

The Asuran member of a retrieval mission group for the Claw of Khan-Ur. He was an engineer and a tactician of the Vigil, with knowledge on altering the frequencies of Asura gates.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: He gave a small window of opportunity to Dougal Keane by facing the pursuing ghost of Adelbern to temporarily get rid of it. And while he successfully did so, he never appeared again.

Personal-story only

Kudu

Snaff's apprentice before Zojja. He's one of the leaders of the Inquest, as well as Zojja's rival. He appears in one of the personal story choices of the Asura, if you choose to have the Transatmospheric Converter as your first invention, as well as a character involved in the story mode of the dungeons Sorrow's Embrace and Crucible of Eternity.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: If you choose the weather device as your early invention, Kudu tries to steal it for his own nefarious purposes. He also appears in the Sorrow's Furnace story mode before being the end boss of the Crucible of Eternity.
  • Four Eyes, Zero Soul: Sports a pair of purple googles after experimenting on himself in the Crucible of Eternity.
  • Gender-Blender Name: At least Logan thought it was.
    "Isn't Kudu a girl's name?"
  • Killed Off for Real: You end his treachery for good in the Crucible of Eternity story mode.
  • Mad Scientist: For experimenting with dragon energies on sentient beings and later on, on himself as well.
  • One Hit Down: In the second battle against Kudu, he has a skill called "Killing Shot". Guess what it does.
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over
  • Sitcom Archnemesis: An old rival of Zojja, and former protege of Snaff.

Teyo

An Inquest agent that you encounter in the beginning instance for Asura.
  • Starter Villain: For all Asuran storylines. Promptly killed off at level 10 and never mentioned again.

Doxa

One of your fellow krewe members if you selected the College of Dynamics as your college.
  • And I Must Scream: Her mind and soul get fused to the Massively Impressive Golem due to Inquest sabotage. It's not as traumatic for her as other examples, however, since she only remembers half of it.
  • Humongous Mecha: Well, humongous by Asuran standards. She's the lucky pilot of the Massively Impressive Golem, or MIG.
  • Official Couple: With Kazz.
  • Put on a Bus: Even in the 'happy' ending...she and Kazz promptly retire to recover, and disappear from the story completely.

Kazz

One of your fellow krewe members if you selected the College of Dynamics as your college.
  • Official Couple: With Doxa.
  • Sickeningly Sweethearts: With Doxa, although she's not quite as sickeningly sweet in kind.
  • You Are Worth Hell: When he sees there's little chance Doxa maybe recovered from the MIG, he asks that he too might be fused to a golem so he can at least be with her.

Gorr

An asura who theorized that the presence of dragons eat up the magic resources present in Tyria, which turns out to be true.
  • Faking the Dead: After running off to retrieve his notes because the audience he revealed his theory to expressed great disbelief, an Arcane Eye agent runs in to tell the announcer that he suddenly died due to a lab accident, immediately making it suspicious enough to be investigated by the Player Character. It turns out he is alive...but imprisoned in an Arcane Eye hideout in Garrenhoff.
