Prince Pixel

Voiced by: Rumiko Varns

The Prince of the Kingdom of Graffiti, Pixel is a bit of a brat who is (among other things) abrasive, full of himself, and lazy. Underneath it all, though, he does care about people and is a fairly heroic young boy.

One day while hiding from everyone in the castle, he manages to stumble across a secret chamber which houses the Graffiti Wand, after he grabs it he accidentally releases Pastel and The Devil, kick-starting the plot.

  • Apathetic Citizens: More like Apathetic Prince, he's not only not really concerned with the potential dangers of meeting the demons in the castle ( which actually is the reason he found out Pastel is actually a human girl), but he's also kind of blasé about other being attacked or kidnapped, and has to be coerced by Pastel.
  • Determinator: Managed to climb the side of the tallest tower by hand to hide from his parents; and despite constant frustration, makes it a point to fight through a hostile environment to save his family and the townspeople.
  • Distracted by the Sexy: He's notably more agreeable when talking to Acryla because of this trope.
  • Lonely Rich Kid: Very subtly implied that before meeting Pastel and Table, that he didn't actually have any friends. His parents also seem pretty inattentive to his needs (the only people shown to be really concerned over his disappearance are the Tutor and the Royal Minister), which may contribute to his Spoiled Brat behavior problems.
  • Meaningful Name: A pixel is a small area of illumination on a screen display, that, when put together with other pixels, are able to make a picture.
  • Ship Tease: With Pastel.
  • Tsundere: Acts callous and very uncaring to his friends, but he's concerned for Pastel's safety when she's captured by Palette deeply saddened when he believes Tablet to be dead.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifting: thanks to the Graffiti Wand he's can turn into Various Graffiti Demons with a great diversity of powers to use.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: Pretty much anyone who becomes friends with him will have to endure his Bratty Half-Pint tendencies, but he'll still care for them all the same.
  • Wholesome Crossdresser: when he becomes a female Graffiti Demon through the use of his powers.

Pastel

Voiced by: Carolyn Miller

A boxdog (as in, a dog shaped like a box) sealed with The Devil who is released by Pixel when he finds the wand. She's sweet and smart, and is also the one who minds Pixel and his constant frustrating behavior. She hangs onto Pixel's back as a traveling companion, gives him advice and cheers him on.

She's actually a human Grafitician, who created her boxdog form in order to act as a key to sealing the Devil and his demon minions away.

The Devil / Medium

Voiced by: Dean Harrington

The Big Bad of the game. A large imposing purple Demon who looks like most Evil Overlord final bosses, The Devil uses his great power to transform the entire Kingdom of Graffiti into a Crazy mish-mashed environment that is ruled by his best henchmen. However since that took a lot of power, he has to recover and is vulnerable to being sealed up again making it the character's top priority to defeat him while he's vulnerable.

  • Affably Evil: He's a Laughably Evil guy who seems to care for his minions (particularly his Son and Daughter) to the point of having a room dedicated to honoring them, spares pixel for freeing him, and while he makes slaves out of humans, he's nice enough to decide not to kill Pixel if he wins their fight and reunite him with his family.
  • Card-Carrying Villain
  • Dastardly Whiplash: The end result of giving this kind of character a ton of supernatural power.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: He's very nice to his children and elites, though with the former, he seems to have spoiled them
  • Evil Is Petty: begins stealing various odds and ends from the townspeople after the events of the game.
  • Fighting Clown: his doodle form prances about and he drops washing basins on you as an attack. (a popular gag in japan)
  • Large Ham: "COME BOI! I'll Make you regret the day you decided to challenge MEEE!"
  • Not Quite Dead: revives himself after his defeat by Pixel, only to be be defeated completely by Tablet.
  • One-Winged Angel: he first fights you in a humanoid doodle form. When that's beat, his doodle becomes a quadruped creature and he begins using attacks more
  • Purple Is Powerful: since purple can symbolize using your imagination to the fullest, its very fitting that the Devil would have it in this particular setting.
  • Top-Heavy Guy: in his normal form, his Grafitti form looks better proportioned in comparison.
  • Disk-One Final Boss: The Devil is made powerless by Tablet after he steals the Grafitti Wand from Pixel and has his ghost thrown down a hole.
  • Villain Decay: He spent up his power building his fortress and fighting Pixel in the middle of recuperation, so when the seal on him is broken again, he's rather powerless and begins resorting to being a kinder, simple thief.

Tablet

Voiced by: Carolyn Miller

A shady boy with blue hair who introduces himself as soon as Pixel and Pastel make it into the fortress. For some reason he feels the need to constantly appear before Pixel to give him information or train his strength and skill with enemy gauntlets.
