Hasbro is, of course, a toy company and their franchise My Little Pony is, naturally, a toyline, so there's quite a number of characters that have only appeared in the toyline. Over 50 of them in fact, though this is nothing new as any Transformers (another Hasbro toyline) fan will tell you...

A mare who "is very polite! She loves to talk to everypony and always has something nice to say." She and Lily Blossom "go on a picnic outside!" May be Honeybuzz with an Adaptation Name Change, as Bumblesweet has only been released as a molded toy while Honeybuzz has only been released as a brushable.


Coconut Cream

A mare who "makes delicious pies to share at parties and picnics. The only thing she won't share is the secret ingredient!"


Cupcake

A mare who "is as sweet as anypony could be! She loves to bake yummy treats and share them with her friends!" May be Sprinkle Stripe with an Adaptation Name Change, as Cupcake has only been released as a brushable while Sprinkle Stripe has only been released in the Blind Bags.


  • Dub Name Change: Toys released in some countries refer to her as Sugarcup.

Dainty Daisy

A mare who's a friend of Pinkie Pie's. "When [she] and all [Pinkie Pie's other] friends work together, they can accomplish anything! That's Pony Power!"


Daisy Dreams

A mare who "is fresh as a daisy!" and with Glimmer Wings "loves flowers just as much as her butterfly friend does! With her magical wings, they look a lot alike too!" She and Rarity "have so much fun together riding around Ponyville on their scooters!"


Emerald Ray

A stallion.


Fizzypop

A mare who "loves to blow bubbles as big as she can, but her favorite part is watching them pop!"


Honeybuzz

A mare who "is often so busy that she forgets to take a break, but she always stops to smell the flowers!" May be Bumblesweet with an Adaptation Name Change, as Honeybuzz has only been released as a brushable while Bumblesweet has only been released as a molded toy.


Minty

A mare who "loves to celebrate holidays with her friends! Her favorite season is winter."


  • Depending on the Artist: She's normally an Earth pony, but the European version of her collector card and a suspected prototype molded toy of her (shown on some packaging) depict her as a Rainbow Dash Palette Swap Pegasus.
  • Expy: Of G3 Minty since she's still using the G3 color scheme & cutie mark, and by extension the original G1 Minty.
  • Mythology Gag: Winter being her favorite season may be a reference to her starring in the G3 Christmas Special A Very Minty Christmas.

Sweetie Blue

A mare who "loves to decorate sweet treats with sprinkles and fun toppings!" She and Rainbow Flash "have fun at a birthday party!"


  • Depending on the Artist: The back of her collector card and the front of the European version of her collector card depict her with differently-colored eyes, and the European version of her collector card depicts her with a differently-colored coat.
  • Palette Swap: Of Applejack.
  • Suspiciously Similar Substitute: For Mrs. Cup Cake, although the she has her own toys now.

Tealove

"The bridesmaids will wear lavender..."

A mare who "loves cozy chats!"


  • Brits Love Tea: Because her name is Tealove, the writers of the comic assumed she's British, leading to the James Bond fantasy below.
  • Canon Immigrant: Not to the show, but to the Expanded Universe books; she has cameos in the comic books Friendship is Magic Issue #10, on pages 15-16 and 20, and Friendship Is Magic Issue #11, on page 1.
  • Expy: Of G3 Tira-Mi-Su.
  • Palette Swap: Of Pinkie Pie.
  • Spell My Name With An S: Little, Brown has used "Tealove" while Entertainment Weekly has used "TeaLove" (Hasbro has only written her name in all caps).
  • Tuxedo and Martini: Her most notable appearance was in issue #10 of the comic, where she fantasized about Big Macintosh being an Expy of James Bond, and herself marrying him (hence the quote above.)

Star Dasher

A mare who's a friend of Pinkie Pie's. "When [she] and all [Pinkie Pie's other] friends work together, they can accomplish anything! That's Pony Power!"


Sugar Grape

A mare who "loves to read stories. Fairy tales are her favorite!" She and Lulu Luck "read stories at their sleepover!"


  • Bookworm: As described above, she loves to read books.
  • Canon Immigrant: Not to the show, but to the Expanded Universe books; she has cameos in the comic books Friendship is Magic Issue #1, on page 17, and Friendship is Magic Issue #9, on page 3.

Sweetsong

A mare who "has a beautiful voice! She loves singing songs for her friends, especially when they sing along." She's a friend of Fluttershy's and with Glimmer Wings "loves her sparkly wings!"

  • Canon Immigrant: Not to the show, but to the Expanded Universe books; she has cameos in the comic books Friendship Is Magic Issue #1, on page 5, Micro-series Issue #3, on page 2, Friendship Is Magic Issue #9, on cover A, page 10, and a con cover, and Friendship is Magic Issue #11, on cover A and page 13, and she's mentioned in the chapter book Pinkie Pie and the Rockin' Ponypalooza Party!, in chapter 1.
  • Recurring Extra: For some reason, she's starting to become this in the IDW comics, at least when Andy Price is the artist. Word of God is reportedly that he thinks her name sounds like that of a prostitute. In two of her first three comic appearances, she is under or near a lamppost. Figure it out from there.

Sweetie Swirl

A mare who "loves ice cream! Instead of choosing between two flavors, she swirls them together." She and Firecracker Burst "have a pizza party!" and she's a friend of Rarity's.


Waterfire

A mare who's a friend of Pinkie Pie's. "When [she] and all [Pinkie Pie's other] friends work together, they can accomplish anything! That's Pony Power!"


Wedding Flower Fillies

Three fillies. They have no known names; "Wedding Flower Fillies" is the title of a similar brushable toy set featuring the Cutie Mark Crusaders.


  • No Name Given: Unlike fellow nameless brushables Minty, Sweetie Blue, and Sweetie Swirl, these three don't have any other toy releases to give them names.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: Meta-example — their only official appearances have been as brushables both presented at the 2012 American International Toy Fair in New York and featured in a promotional photo for the Wedding Castle set, and they're the only toys from the display at that Toy Fair which haven't been released. Only one of the three has even been seen elsewhere (a tinsel-haired version leaked online by an auction on Taobao in 2011).
