Ginny Field
A plucky but perpetually late assistant counselor. She is dating Paul.
Played by: Amy Steel
- Action Girl: From attempting to attack Jason with a chainsaw and slamming his own machete into his shoulder to the point that Jason actually had to seek shelter somewhere else to recover from his wounds, Ginny most certainly qualifies.
- Bring My Brown Pants: Wets herself when she sees a rat come up beside her face while being stalked by Jason Voorhees. Mind you, she had been drinking heavily before and hadn't the chance to use the bathroom, though that just makes you wonder why she didn't wet herself sooner when Jason was attacking her.
- Chainsaw Good: Manages to fend off Jason with a chainsaw.
- Chairman of the Brawl: Grabs a chair to beat Jason with.
- Chekhov's Skill: Her child psychology studies.
- Dead Person Impersonation: She impersonates Jason's mother to distract him long enough to strike him with a machete.
- Final Girl: Of Part 2. Notably avoids the "wholesome" aspects of the trope — she drinks alcohol, plays practical jokes on people, isn't always fully clothed and is perfectly willing to have sex during the film — it's implied she doesn't go through with it because she's on her period, but the point stands. Obviously, as she's the survivor, she averts Sex Signals Death.
- Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: A beautiful blonde aspiring child psychologist.
- Improvised Weapon User: She defends herself from Jason with a chair and a chainsaw.
- In Vino Veritas: Goes on a lengthy Motive Rant about Jason after having one too many beers.
- Sympathy for the Devil: Has a lot of sympathetic feelings regarding Jason.
- What Happened to the Mouse?: She's really the only one of Jason's adversaries whose fate has never been revealed, in films or any related media.
- Youthful Freckles: Goes with her Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold.
Paul Holt
The head of the new camp being opened nearby Crystal Lake. He is seeing Ginny.
Played by: John Furey
- Action Survivor: Give credit to that man who tackles Jason after tracking him down.
- Famed In-Story: A lesser example of the trope as he's apparently well known for working with troubled youth.
- Nice Guy: He is a decent, if slightly condescending boyfriend as well as camp counselor.
- One-Steve Limit: Averted. The Final Chapter has a character named Paul as well.
- What Happened to the Mouse?: His fate at the end of Part 2 is vague and uncertain. Fans still debate whether he lived or died.
Sandra Dier
Played by: Martha Kober
- Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: How she dies.
- Ms. Fanservice: Wears no bra, and they also have her in a bikini top in one scene.
- Out with a Bang: Impaled during the act, no less.
- Unwitting Instigator of Doom: She persisted in visiting the restricted Camp Crystal Lake, despite Paul's warning it was off limits and Jeff's reluctance to break the rule. As punishment after they were caught, they were forbidden from going out to town and had to stay at camp for the evening. The same night Jason paid a visit to Packanack...
Vickie Perry
Played by: Lauren-Marie Taylor
- Fanservice: Changes her panties before going to Mark, showing lower frontal nudity.
- Out with a Bang: Subverted. She's about to have sex with Mark, but Jason kills him before they can actually do it. Vickie survives only slightly longer.
Jeff Dunsberry
Played by: Bill Randolph
- Expy: Of Jack. The actor even said he'd try to come up with ways to differentiate the two more (for example, Jeff's hat).
- Out with a Bang: Impaled during the act, no less.
Mark
Played by: Tom McBride
A wheelchair bound jock who has no difficulty attracting ladies.
- Chick Magnet: He's a very attractive guy.
- Inspirationally Disadvantaged: A lesser example of the trope as he's determined to not let the fact he's wheelchair-bound get him down.
- Nice Guy: Among the nicest, friendliest of the series.
- Sex Signals Death: Subverted. Jason kills Mark just before he was going to get laid.
Scott
Played by: Russell Todd
A practical jokester who is sexually attracted to Terry.
- Slashed Throat: Jason cuts his throat with a machete while Scott is trapped by his foot in a snare.
Terry
Played by: Kirsten Baker
A beautiful female counselor who is also a dog owner.
- Canine Companion: She has a little dog named Muffin.
- The Dog Bites Back: A light-hearted version when Scott gets caught in a snare after stealing her clothes and she gets to tease him about leaving him there for a bit.
- Gone Swimming, Clothes Stolen: Scott steals her clothes as a prank and to see her naked.
- Killed Offscreen: With no indication as to how Jason killed her.
- Male Gaze: Her introduction is a shot following her nice butt in shorts.
- Ms. Fanservice: She is introduced wearing a baby t-shirt and short shorts that get a Male Gaze view, wears a midriff-bearing shirt (and no bra) tight enough to show the outline of her nipples after dark, and goes skinny dipping.
- Never Found the Body: Averted in the final scene of the movie.
- Skinny Dipping: Willfully partakes in it. Does not end well.
Ted
Played by: Stu Charno
Another practical jokester who is close friends with a number of other characters.
- Death by Mocking: Averted. Ted repeatedly dresses up and mocks Jason, but the two never cross paths and he presumably lives.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He can be a bit of a jerk with some of his pranks, but he's definitely a nice guy overall.
- Plucky Comic Relief: Of Part 2. Like Ned from the first film, he plays lots of goofy, silly pranks. Unlike Ned, his don't involve shooting arrows at strangers.
- Serendipitous Survival: Staying at the bar saves his life. The actor has actually attended conventions wearing a "Jason didn't kill me" t-shirt.
- Shoo Out the Clowns: He's a joker, and stays at the bar when Paul and Ginny return to the camp, missing all of the carnage.
Deputy Winslow
Played by: Jack Marks
A local cop who takes it upon himself to warn the counselors about Camp Crystal Lake.
- Curiosity Killed the Cast: He spots Jason lurking around the camp and chases after him, with unfortunate results.
- Red Shirt: He basically exists to provide exposition about Camp Crystal Lake, and then add to the body count.
- The World's Expert (on Getting Killed): He is well aware of the dangers at Camp Crystal Lake, and yet he still dies when he stumbles upon Jason's cabin.
