A character sheet for the popular Newgrounds flash animation, Four Swords Misadventures.

Green Link

The fearless leader of the group, much like the other incarnations.

Voiced by: Victor Fiori

  • Atomic F-Bomb: "Vaati, you no good mother f-!"
  • Battle Boomerang: Blue gives him the Boomerang he got during the second part of Episode 2.
  • Berserk Button: Don't ever state or even imply that you intend to rape Princess Zelda in front of him. And when Vaati sends him a package implying he loves cock, he really loses it.
  • The Leader: Of Course.
  • Only Sane Man: Usually, though Blue is sometimes just as laid-back.
  • Straight Man: The most normal and serious of the Links.
  • Undying Loyalty: Vows to save Princess Zelda no matter what.

Red Link

The reckless and rebellious one. He often argues with Green over how things should be done.

Voiced by: SpikeDaPenguin (Episodes 1-3, and 8-present), Richard Fincher (Episodes 4-7)

  • Anti-Hero: While the other Links have their faults, Red is the most likely to cause trouble for the others.
  • Berserk Button: Getting in his way of Princess Zelda, the Armos telling him to Shut Up, implying he loves "cock", he has a good number of them.
  • Blood Knight: Aggressive, and always wanting action.
  • Butt-Monkey: As of Episode 4, he has been on the receiving end of physical abuse, and he deserves it too.
  • Deadpan Snarker: He will sometimes get sarcastic when he's angry.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: Gets mad over some of the simplest things, like insults.
  • Hot-Blooded: Green at one point mentions he has too much testosterone.
  • Jerkass: Easily the biggest jerk of the four. He bullies Purple for being inexperienced, argues with Green over how things should be done and only wants to rescue Zelda to later have his way with her.
  • The Lancer: As the more aggressive and stubborn foil to Green Link's heroic and calm demeanor.
  • Large Ham: Mainly comes from being a hothead.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: His actions have resulted in a lot of consequences for the team. Mainly shouting at the Armos preventing him from getting an easy way out, throwing the magic mirror away even when Green implied he was going to fix it, which in turn was needed for a sidequest later, and overall claiming he's a better leader than Green.
  • No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: Both on the receiving end in Episode 4 from angry Cuccos, and on the giving end to Dark Link in Episode 7.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: After a nasty beating from a Super Cucco, Red becomes scared of them.

Blue Link

The most level-headed of the team; Blue is the brains of the group.

Voiced by: Martin Kemp (Episodes 1-7), Richard Fincher (Episodes 8-10), Doomey 5 (Episode 11)

  • The Ace: He could potentially be more skilled than Green.
  • Badass Pacifist: He wins a Goron wrestling match by playing The Goron's Lullaby.
  • Deadpan Snarker: His jokes are done in a deadpan manner.
  • Guile Hero: A lot of his accomplishments come from manipulating his enemies.
  • Insufferable Genius: Sometimes acts arrogant in regards to his experience and knowledge.
  • Lampshade Hanging: Some of his humor is cracking jokes at the plot.
  • Not So Stoic: While he's usually the most calm of the four, in part one of episode 2, he gets angry at Red when he insults the boomerang.
  • Only Sane Man: Alongside Green, he's the voice of reason.
  • The Smart Guy: The most intelligent member of the group. He even points out that he's the brains of the group in episode 5.
  • The Stoic: Most of the time, he's the most level-headed and least emotional of the group.

Purple Link

The clumsy and naive team member who just wants to be a good warrior.

Voiced by: Mario Simic (Episodes 1-10), Belsheber Rusape (Episode 11)

  • The Beastmaster: As of Episode 5, he trains the Super Cucco, Cojiro.
  • Butt-Monkey: He's basically a big punching bag for Red Link.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Sometimes towards Red.
  • Do Not Call Me "Paul": He prefers to be called Purple Link, because he thinks Violet sounds gay.
  • Dumb Blonde: His hair, like the other Links is blonde, and he's the least intelligent of them.
  • Idiot Hero: As a Naïve Newcomer, see below.
  • Naïve Newcomer: He's inexperienced and doesn't exactly know much about Hyrule.
  • Noob: Is called this a lot to his dismay.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Got stuck on an easy dungeon, even with the help of the lantern, and had to get the others to pull him out to the end.
  • Unfit for Greatness: When the four are in the Toad House, Purple receives a Roc's feather that he deems useless, only to throw it away and realize that it would have helped him a lot.

Princess Zelda

The captured princess of Hyrule.

Voiced by: Kira Buckland

  • Animated Armor: In Episode 10, she possess a Dark Knut/Phantom armor.
  • Composite Character: She has characteristics from multiple Zeldas, including the Sheik transformation and becoming a disembodied ghost.
  • Cute Ghost Girl: In episode 10, though it is her fault, because she had a temper tantrum while in Vaati's care and he had to kill/disembody her spirit.
  • Damsel out of Distress: She obliterates Vaati with Din's fire and tries to escape in her Sheik form, but is caught again.
  • Grand Theft Me: As a ghost, she's able to possess a person's body. And like in Spirit Tracks, her soul was separated from her body, implying that Vaati is planning to revive someone using her body as a host.
  • Heroic Bastard: Possibly Zelda, given that her father stated that Zelda was "an accident."
  • Misplaced Retribution: She beats Purple Link for killing the moment between her and Green with Cojiro, though it turns out it was actually Blue's fault, who had summoned Cojiro there while not paying attention to her and Green.
  • Playing with Fire: Din's Fire
  • Royal Brat: She has shades of this at times.
  • Transformation Sequence: To become Sheik.
  • Tsundere: To Link, though mostly Green Link, being far more hostile to Red.

Dark Link

Voiced by: Victor Fiori

The evil doppelganger of Link who tries to take over the world using his army of clones.

Cojiro

The Super Cucco sent by Vaati as a joke towards the Links.

Vaati

The main antagonist of Four Swords Misadventures currently holding Zelda hostage.

  • Berserk Button: Trying to usurp his throne will end badly.
  • Big Bad: Of this series, as he's the one calling the shots.
  • Composite Character: The story is based loosely on Four Swords, but Vaati's appearance is taken from Minish Cap.
  • Evil Is Petty: One of his plans involves getting Tingle to appear in dungeons selling overpriced maps. And then there's the "special package".
  • Jerkass: His "cock" joke that he sent to the Links shows how mean-spirited he really is.
  • Large Ham: Aggressive and sinister, and really shows that Evil Is Hammy.

Oshus

A wise old man that the Links must do tasks for to get a map to the Twilight Realm.

  • Art Shift: Uses an 8-bit sprite compared to the other 16-bit/32-bit sprites in the series.
  • Dirty Old Man: The first task he asks is for pictures of Gerudo women.
  • Manipulative Bastard: He fakes being a wise old man to trick the heroes to doing meaningless tasks for him.
