     The Lords

Kanna

The protagonist of the story, revealed to be the daughter of Corrin and Azura. She is 15 years old and Yato chooses her to be its next wielded. Her life soon spirals out of control when her adoptive parents reveal the truth about her and soon are murdered by Prince Gethin of Plegia, revealing truths about her that she's long forgotten...

  • Ancestral Weapon: Both Azura's pendant and Yato.
  • Arm Cannon: Thanks to Dragon Fang.
  • Child of Two Worlds: Literally. Kanna was born in the world of Fates, but due to circumstances, ends up growing up in the world of Future Past.
  • The Confidant: Becomes this to Soleil.
  • Disappeared Dad: All thanks to Garon. And Gethin.
  • Distress Ball: During her stay in Plegia Castle.
  • Doom Magnet: Kanna loses her parents at age three, she ends up being separated from her family and friends, her adoptive parents get murdered by Gethin... And then there's the actual plot.
  • Happily Adopted: Soon after Kanna falls into the Future Past verse, she's found by a farmer and he and his wife soon adopt her. Unfortunately, Gethin murders them early on in the prologue.
    • As with Corrin, Kanna has no blood relation to the Hoshido and Nohr royal families. Regardless, they still love her and they come to the Future Past universe to search for her.
  • Harmful to Minors: Kanna witnesses her father being burned alive and and then Azura takes a sword to the gut to save Kanna.
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners:
    • Midori is shaping up to be this for Kanna, already calling her her best friend even though Kanna has known her for only a few days.
    • Kanna agrees to go with Gethin after he holds Midori captive.
  • Innocent Gray Eyes: Kanna's gray eyes denote her innocent personality in the beginning.
  • Interspecies Romance: Kanna is quarter-dragon and Soleil is... debatable since her grandmother is Robin, but Soleil appears mostly human.
  • Making a Splash: Even more than Corrin, as she inherits Azura's family's water powers.
  • Our Dragons Are Different: Outright stated by Nyomi, who is a quarter manakete.
Nyomi: Your Grace, Kanna can turn into a dragon.
    Lucina: You've found a manakete?
Nyomi:I wouldn't call her a full blooded manakete… Ma looks more like one and she's half. No… I think Kanna is somethin' else.
  • Royalty Superpower: Along with the Dragon Veins, Kanna can use Azura's pendant's powers.
  • Shared Family Quirks: Kanna is a talented singer, like Azura, already singing Lost In Thoughts All Alone a few times in the story.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: Shigure states that Kanna looks very much like Azura when she has her hair down.
  • Superpowerful Genetics: Inherits the ability to transform into a dragon, like her father Corrin.
  • Survivor's Guilt: She has a bit of this in the beginning, due to her adoptive parents being murdered.
  • Tragic Keepsake: Kanna has both Azura's pendant and Yato, the sword Corrin wields in Fates.
  • Trying Not to Cry: After thinking about her adoptive parents' deaths.
  • Weak, but Skilled: Justified, as Kanna never had to take up a sword before the plot.

Soleil

The firstborn of Lucina and Inigo and the wielder of Falchion, aged 19. Despite this, Soleil is not the heir to the throne, due to having given up the position as she believed that she was not fit to become the next exalt. Soleil is the second main character to be introduced. She is the one to rescue Kanna as she is going berserk from grief. Soleil is a Mercenary. Tony and Nyomi serve as her retainers.

     The Ylisse Royal Family

Aurora

The second daughter of Inigo and Lucina, and the current heir to the throne. Aurora is a stark contrast to her older sister, as she's rather serious and straightlaced. She takes after their grandmother, Robin, being rather serious and often studying historical texts. However, Aurora is frequently at odds with Soleil, as she believes that Soleil doesn't take anything serious and abandons her duty. Aurora is a Dark Flier. Dryden and Magnus are her retainers.

  • Birds of a Feather: Has this with Siegbert, as both are serious, hardworking, and in the beginning of the story, are the heirs to their respective kingdoms.
  • Birthmark of Destiny: Her exalted brand is on her forehead, much like her great-aunt Emmeryn.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: Is rather jealous that Falchion chose Soleil over her.
  • Hereditary Hairstyle: Sports one of female Robin's hairstyles (the ponytail with braids on both sides of her head).
  • Lady of War: She's Lucina's daughter, after all.
  • Magic Knight: Aurora is the most proficient with magic out of her siblings, but is handy with a lance too.
  • Meaningful Name: As well as being a celestial name, like the rest of her siblings, Aurora is also the name of a Roman goddess, the goddess of dawn.
  • Polar Opposite Twins: With Altair, of course.
  • Politically-Active Princess: She's introduced trying to look into a way to negotiate with Plegia peacefully.
  • Sibling Rivalry: Has shades of this with Soleil. Though their fighting has more to do with Aurora believing that Soleil shirks her duties as a princess and shoved the pressures of being the crown princess onto her.
  • Sibling Yin-Yang: With most of her siblings, but it's most obvious with Altair.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Ends up on a receiving end of this when Shiro has enough of her treatment of Soleil.

Altair

The older son of Inigo and Lucina and the twin of Aurora, aged 17. Much like his older sister, Altair travels around the country. Altair is flirtatious, but he's reliable. He also understands Soleil better than Aurora or Celio. He is introduced during the first paralogue. He is a griffon rider and his steed is named Aquila.

Celio

The younger son of Inigo and Lucina, aged 15. Celio is rather serious and a bit of a Deadpan Snarker. He suffers from a bit of an inferiority complex, as Falchion did not choose him. He also has built up a facade around strangers, based on what he views as an ideal prince. Celio is an archer, like his paternal grandfather Virion.

Luna

The youngest daughter of Inigo and Lucina, at age 13. Luna is kind and cheerful, albeit a bit naive. She plays a big part of the first arc as she's kidnapped during Lucina's birthday celebration by Plegia. She is the second Ylisse royal to be introduced and is a Dancer, just like Olivia. Olivier and Benjamin serve her.

Ophelia

The eighteen year old daughter of Owain and Severa, their oldest child. In this story, Ophelia is much more down to earth, due to her mother's influence, but she does have some bombastic tendencies. She is introduced during the meeting to discuss on what to do about Luna's kidnapping. She is a mage at her introduction.

Mercutio

Owain and Severa's only son, aged 16. He takes after his mother, being rather no nonsense. He is introduced in Chapter 2, appearing alongside with his older sister Ophelia. However, he doesn't reappear until he and his sisters appear to help the army during Luna's rescue. Mercutio is a myrmidon like his father was.

Eleanor

Owain and Severa's youngest child, at 13 years old. Much like Luna, Eleanor is cheerful and naive, but with a childish streak. She is introduced during Chapter 2, partaking in the fight against the Risen. She is a Pegasus Knight, like her maternal grandmother.

Avery

Marc and Noire's oldest son and child, at sixteen years old. Not much is known about him currently, but it's been mentioned that he's a brilliant tactician like his grandmother and father.

Astrid

Marc and Noire's only daughter, aged fifteen. Not much is known about her, but she is a Dark Mage like her grandmother Tharja.

Rayon

The son of Yarne and Morgan. His class is a Taguel.

     The Fates Royals

Shigure

The son of Corrin and Azura, Kanna's older brother. He is 19 years old, tying with Soleil as the oldest. Unlike in Fates, Shigure is rather serious and is fairly protective of Kanna. He is introduced early on in the first arc, but due to brainwashing, works for Plegia until Kanna singing Lost In Thoughts All Alone snaps him out of it. Shigure is a kinshi knight and his steed is named Suzaku.

Kyo

Kanna's twin brother, making him fifteen years old. He is in a romantic relationship with Midori. The third interlude reveals that Kyo is not the son of Corrin and Azura, but in fact the son of a female Corrin that chose Nohr with that world's version of Shigure. Lilith gives Kyo his mother's Yato. Kyo is a Nohr Prince.

Siegbert

The son of Xander and Charlotte, Siegbert is the oldest out of the four Nohr royals, making him the crown prince. He is 18 years old. He wields the sword Siegfried. Siegbert is fairly similar to his incarnation in Fates, being rather modest and unsure of his abilities. This is amplified, as Siegbert is expected to take the Nohrian throne soon after they save their world. Siegbert is introduced during Chapter 5, when his female cousins seek him out to inform him what has happened to Shigure and Kyo. Siegbert is a Paladin and he inherited Xander's steed. Sophie is his retainer.

Eponine

The daughter of Zero and Camilla, Eponine is the second eldest Nohrian royal at 16 years old. Eponine is introduced during Chapter 3, but as an enemy unit. Eponine is more like her mother in this, being more flirtatious and confident towards boys. Instead of being an outlaw, Eponine is a malig knight, inheriting her mother's undead wyvern. Velour is her retainer.

Laurel

The daughter of Leo and Felicia, Laurel is the younger Nohrian princess. She is a couple months Eponine's junior, making her 16. She's introduced along with Eponine, as they were paired together when everyone split up. Laurel is down to earth, being rather softspoken and gentle, and is stated to have the most talent with magic out of the Nohr royal family. She is also a trans girl. Laurel is a Strategist and she has inherited Bryhildr from Leo.

Shiro

The son of Ryoma and Scarlet, Shiro is the eldest Hoshido royal and the heir to the Hoshido throne. He is eighteen years old. Shiro is quite hotheaded, much like his incarnation in the games, but he is also more family oriented, as he was raised with Kisaragi and likely saw his other relatives often. He is introduced during the attack on the castle to get the Fire Emblem. Unlike most of the characters, who have retained their canon classes, Shiro is a Swordmaster and wields the Raijinto. Asugi is his personal retainer.

Kinu

The daughter of Kaden and Hinoka, Kinu is the younger Hoshido princess (but only by a few months). She is sixteen years old. She is rather innocent and cheerful, much like her canon version, and with a tendency to get into trouble. Her class is Kitsune.

Matoi

The daughter of Tsubaki and Sakura, Matoi is the second oldest Hoshido royal at 16 years old. She is even more so of a perfectionist, compared to the games, due to the belief that she has to be better than perfect in order to defeat Anankos. She is engaged to Shigure, though this fact is not revealed immediately after Shigure joins the army. Matoi is a pegasus knight and her steed was originally Tsubaki's.

Kisaragi

The son of Takumi and Elise, Kisaragi is the youngest royal out of both families, at fifteen years old. Kisaragi is quite outgoing and happy go lucky, much like his mother, but easily gets into trouble (forcing Matoi to watch out for him when they split up). Kisaragi inherited the ability to wield the Fujin Yumi from his father and is noted to be rather talented with it.
