The 15 Strangers
Arthur Charles
The Approach
Currently alive.- Broken Hero: And not only because Round 4 was terrible.
- Chronic Hero Syndrome: Definitely had this...just look at how many times he threw himself into danger trying to use this power. Though that's not the only example.
- Hope Bringer: In the third trial, spoke of Hope consistently in keywords to help get the Strangers in high spirits as they all prepared to riot to save King.
- Leeroy Jenkins: Actually pulled this off in the midst of the final trial after chairs were stacked up to get to IT.
- Psychic Glimpse of Death: The most common use for Arthur's power.
King Milton
The Forlorn
Culprit of Case 3, currently alive.- Deadpan Snarker: Has shades of this throughout the entirety of the games as some type of coping mechanism.
- Heel–Face Turn: Experienced this in the final trial. Notable because it took awhile for the strangers to get him back due to him being so susceptible to IT's influence.
- I Have a Family: His reason for going after the Case 3 motive.
- Screw Destiny: Managed to do this with the help of the other Strangers come the third trial.
Osomatsu Matsuno
The Enemy
Currently alive.Akira Kurusu
The Nagging
Dead, as of Week 2.- Have We Met Yet?: Vita and Jonathan have met not just one, but two doubles of Akira who have both committed murder. On top of that, one of them killed Vita. To make matters worse, the version that killed Vita was also from the Mall like the version in the City now.
Caleb Widogast
The Discord
Currently alive.- Family of Choice: Some of the Strangers could be considered this to Caleb, such as Arthur. Some of the others even teased him about it, much to his annoyance.
- Jack Bauer Interrogation Technique: It alienated a few of the others.
Ambrosine
The Circuit
Currently alive.Kazuki Nanaki
The Embarrassing
Dead, as of Week 2.Karma Akabane
The Jovian
Currently alive.Estelle Bright
The Noodles
Currently alive.- Action Girl: From beginning to end, that's Estelle in a nutshell.
- Heroic Willpower: Despite IT coming at her and even trying harder to bring Joshua in it, she no-sells it with her True Love for him, positivity, and inner strength. A feat for her considering her Level to succumbing to IT's influence was higher than most of the remaining Strangers.
Eric
The Glister
Currently alive.- Befriending the Enemy: Does this with the Hosts, particularly Hiyori, which ends up being a great assistance in the final trial.
- Cowardly Lion: No matter how bad it got and through his own trauma, Eric soldiered through things that, quite frankly, scared him shitless.
- Stupid Sexy Flanders: Apparently has this problem where McBurn is concerned.
- The Blade Always Lands Pointy End In: Happens in the latter half of the final trial, when trying to turn into a weapon instead ends up having him sort-of impaled as the sword comes out ala Revolutionary Girl Utena and is a Trauma Button for Eric's Sword PSTD, making him faint.
- The Leader: Could be considered this at times, due to his diligence in leading/working hard throughout trials and even outside of them.
Vita Clotilde-Morris
The Bad Luck
Dead, as of Week 4.- Trauma Button: Vita has a few of these after being killed at the Base. Akira himself is one, but even something like using her power can be another. Anything that reminds her of how she was killed results in her getting anxious and becoming irrational when normally she's quite calm and collected and able to deal with stress well.
- Burn the Witch!: While not intentional and the reason for her death, Vita is a witch and her corpse was burned after her death due to an accident with a laser bat.
- Last Request: Before she died, Vita asked her killer to make it quick and to try his hardest to get away with it. She also sent Arthur a message to not let them win. Her requests were not only fulfilled, but the characters rioted and saved the culprit.
- Not Afraid to Die: After spending most of the game being traumatized over dying at the Base, Vita actually ends accepting her second death. She feels only acceptance and peace and tells King she's ready to die. She didn't resist and just let him kill her.
Lala Hagoromo
The Chance
Dead, as of Week 3.- Brought Down to Normal: She's normally a Magical Girl Warrior and has Shock and Awe abilities even when not transformed. Here she's the only one of the Strangers to end up with no powers at all.
- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: She and Kurama inspired the motive for week 4 (case 3).
McBurn
The Brittle
Currently alive.- Brilliant, but Lazy: Definitely capable of doing things, but at times, still can be very much a lazy ass most of the time. He definitely didn't write notes (only when he had to), took constant naps at inappropriate times, and had to be waken up to get out of his house in the first place the first time a murder happened...
- Blood Knight: When he gets the chance to really enjoy himself in battle...
- Characterization Marches On: After three games of murdergames, changes have had an effect on him, though most of the time it could be hard to tell he's changed at all from time to time (entirely on purpose.)
- Even Evil Has Standards: Though not particularly evil in either way, even he's affected by the torture that was experienced by six of the 15strangers. Enough to be bothered by it.
- The Unfettered: Shows shades of this, no matter what kind of challenges were thrown at the strangers, always having his eye on the prize: Taking down IT in battle.
Kurama/Shuuichi Minamino
The Unknown
Dead, as of Week 3.- Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: He and Lala inspired the motive for week 4 (case 3).
Jonathan Morris
The Double
Dead, as of Week 4.- Berserk Button: Don't. Threaten. His wife.
- Berserker Tears: a factor in how he ended up killed shortly after his wife - he couldn't see through them!
- Death Seeker: After failing to prevent any of the events he witnessed, overwhelmed by feelings of uselessness, and horrified at the thought that his sister-in-law might make a contract with Kyuubey, Jonathan begged Vita to kill him and get away with it.
- Heroic Fatigue: This is his third rodeo, to use a tired, stereotypically Texan metaphor. Seeing people die and not being able to stop it has gotten old.
- More Expendable Than You: He decided the survivors would be better off without him and his temper around, and pointed out that Vita could bring him back once he was dead.
