Masters
Kiritsugu Emiya
- Voiced by: OmniBeneficial
- Adaptational Villainy: Kiritsugu is a lot more self centered than in canon.
- Combat Pragmatist: Kiristsugu will blow up an entire fucking building to kill a target if he has to.
- Everyone Has Standards: He's a self-centered dick, yes, but not even he's so much of an asshole to deny Ryuunosuke one last wank.
- Happily Married: Subverted. Upon finding out that Iri gave birth to Ilya, his immediate thought is of killing her so he can resume the "single life".
- Gun Nut: His preferred choice of weapons.
- Jerk with a Heart of Jerk: Think he has a redeeming trait? He'll find a way to disappoint you.
- Pet the Dog: He admits that Rider is his favorite servant, and even lets him stay in the Einzbern Castle after chasing off Archer.
Kayneth Archibald El-Melloi
- Voiced by: YaroShien
- Adaptational Heroism: ...Kinda. Kayneth is still an arrogant Jerkass, but his reasons for attacking the Einzbern Castle seemed to change from retaliating against Kiritsugu's attack to because a bunch of people died from having his hotel blown up.
- Adaptational Personality Change: Instead of being a pompous mage from a high-class family, here he's a gangster.
- Berserk Button: He has several. Most of them have to do with Lancer.
- The first is boasting about trying to troll him, as Waver learned the hard way.
- The second is Lancer's voice whenever he was whining in episode 2. It was apparently so grating, that Kayneth ended up using a Command Seal to make him stop doing it.
- The third is making moves on his wife. That also warranted a Command Seal.
- Butt-Monkey: Only Lancer gives him any respect, and even then it's not that much.
- Even Evil Has Standards: Is absolutely furious when Kiritsugu blows up the hotel that he's staying in while hundreds of people are inside.
Kirei Kotomine
- Voiced by: Takahata101
- Actor Allusion: Kirei is voiced by Takahata101, who also voices Alucard in Hellsing Ultimate Abridged.
- Incidentally, Kirei and Alucard share voice actors from both the official sub and dub, and are tied to an element of Christianity.
- Adaptational Heroism: Here Kirei is a lot more reluctant to attack
- No-Respect Guy: Kotomine's levelheadedness is offset by how the universe seems to be trying to make him become what he is in canon via Who's Laughing Now?.
- Only Sane Man: Of all people to be the voice of reason, it's the man who eventually wants everyone to die. It's also understandable in this context.
Kariya Matou
- Voiced by: Grimmjack69
- Accidental Innuendo: When he goes to Zouken, he yells "PUT IT IN ME!" when referring to the crest worms.
- No Indoor Voice: Nearly all of his lines are of him screaming.
Tokiomi Tohsaka
- Voiced by: Xcaliborg
- The Alcoholic: Judging from Rin's reaction to his claim that "I only do this voice when I drink."
- Reasonable Authority Figure: Kirei claims he is this. His actions indicate that he's more ego driven than that.
Waver Velvet
- Voiced by: BuddyVA
- Cloud Cuckoolanders Minder: Towards Rider, who wrecks garages and eats glass.
Ryuunosuke Uryuu
- Voiced by: YaroShien
- Ax-Crazy: Is more so here than in canon.
- Asshole Victim: He's the subject of Caster's Domestic Abuse, but he's a sadistic child murderer, so...
- Would Hurt a Child: He's a lot more chipper about it too.
Servants
Archer
- Voiced by: KaiserNeko
- Adaptational Heroism: Gilgamesh is somewhat less of a dick than canon. It's not much, but it's noticeable. He even apologizes to Assassin for shooting his hand instead of his face, subjecting him to suffering. A nice moment comes in episode 5, where he interrupts Berserker's attempt to fight Saber without the original context of anger.
- Adaptational Wimp: Canon!Gilgamesh would never let the likes of Berserker or Kiritsugu intimidate him.
Assassin
- Adaptational Wimp: Dies for good when Gilgamesh kills him.
- Gratuitous Foreign Language: Arabic.
Berserker
- Voiced by: PurpleEyesWTF
- Adaptational Intelligence: Berserker only growls and roars in the original series, only speaking in full sentences upon his death. Here, Cero!Berserker is fully capable of talking, although with No Indoor Voice.
- The Berserker: Well, yes.
- Cluster F-Bomb: Runs on this.
- Politically Incorrect Hero: Spews enough racial and homophobic slurs to make his voice actor uncomfortable.
- Screaming Warrior: Coherent insults, less coherent yelling, ect.
- Sir Swears-a-Lot: This might as well be his true name.
Caster
- Voiced by: OmniBeneficial
- Adaptational Villainy: Caster was already a villain, but the "villain upgrade" so to speak would be of his constant abuse of Ryuunosuke.
- Cloud Cuckoolander: A really dark example, since it only highlights the atrocities he commits.
- Depraved Bisexual: Let's not go into detail, especially where Saber is concerned...
- Kill the God: Evidently his other goal for when he gets Jeanne back.
- Would Hurt a Child: With eldritch horrors.
Rider
- Voiced by: Thekazmat
- Adaptational Intelligence: Downplayed. Canon!Rider was a brilliant tactician with a big personality. Cero!Rider doesn't seem to display that exact level of competence, but his occasional witty remarks show that he isn't that stupid.[While on the Fuyuki Bridge]
Waver: Rider! Why are we up here?!
Rider: I'm claustrophobic. I have to drink away the fear.
Waver: Well, I'm afraid of heights!
Rider: Clearly you picked the wrong servant. - Boisterous Bruiser: To the point where he'll just break into your home just to party with you.
- Cloud Cuckoolander: He eats glass for one...
- Dumbass Has a Point: He ain't the sharpest sword in the sheath in this series, but even he points out that Lancer and Saber choosing to have a duel while Caster's Eldritch Abomination is attacking is really, really stupid.Rider: Uh, guys? I'm not much for priorities, but holy fuck, PRIORITIES!
- Dumb Jock:[re: Caster's Eldritch Abomination] It's a big nerd! I'mma hit it!
- Simpleton Voice: He has this in the abridged series.
- What the Hell, Hero?: Calls out both Lancer and Saber for deciding to fuck off and go have an honorable duel while Caster's monster is heading straight for the shoreline, leaving him high and dry to fight it himself. While Saber eventually convinces him to let them have it, it's clear that by his far more serious tone that he is not happy with them about it.Rider: I'll buy you guys maybe five minutes.
Saber: You have thousands of soldiers to work with!
Rider: Five. Minutes. - Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: Cero!Rider is immensely claustrophobic. It's so bad, that during a bad drug trip in episode 3, he ends up using his Noble Phantasm out of fear.
Saber
- Voiced by: Alifluro
- Can't Hold His Liquor: She is in her underwear while Rider and Archer are simply slurring their words.
- Totally Radical: She struggles immensely with 90s slang, specifically when and how to use it.
Lancer
- Voiced by: OmniBeneficial
- Even the Guys Want Him: Kayneth isn't immune to his mole either.
- Handsome Lech: "Women are usually more susceptible to my thrusting"
- Lust Object: He's well aware that his mole is this. Yes, the mole specifically.
Other
Maiya
- Voiced by: Kayli Mills
- Vitriolic Best Buds: On the one hand, Maiya and Kiritsugu are clearly friends. On the other, Maiya will crush Kiritsugu's hopes and dreams by lying about having a predator missile just for calling her "bland".
Zouken
- Voiced by: YaroShien
- Accent Adaptation: Not necessarily accent, but here, Zouken sounds almost identical to Christopher Walken. Lampshaded when Kariya refers to him as Christopher Zouken.
- Even Evil Has Standards: Disapproves of Kariya yelling innuendo at him.
- Obviously Evil: Who else drinks something called "Malicious Intentions"?
Sola-Ui
- Voiced by: MontyGlu
- Awful Wedded Life: You can tell she's just itching to do away with Kayneth.
Rin
- Voiced by: Sydsnap
- Little Miss Snarker: Not much will change in ten years.
Irisviel von Einzbern
- Voiced by: Jadethefirefox
- Drives Like Crazy: It turns her on too.
- Happily Married: Feels this way about Kiritsugu. It's not mutual.
Risei Kotomine
- Voiced by: OmniBeneficial
- Abusive Parents: His first reaction upon hearing his son, Kirei, losing his servant in the war was to laugh and call him a "fucking failure".
- No Sympathy: Bursts out laughing when his son tells him Assassin died, then refuses sanctuary to a wheelchair-bound Kayneth, who kills him for it.
