    Austin Hyperion
The main hero of the hour, Austin is a new arrival to Europe and a magnet for shootouts and trouble. Master of IndyPloys and understatements, the story follows his adventures as he accidentally gets himself involved in the workings of the many factions around Europe and Metropool. Most of which against his wishes.
  • Expy: Of pretty much everyone's Fallout protagonist. He's witty, sarcastic, good in a gunfight, as modest skills in hacking and lockpicking, and can't seem to help but get involved in everyone's business wherever he goes.
  • Indy Ploy: His standard operating procedure. His fighting style can be pretty well summed up by "run away, take pot shots, crack wise, and hope that something happens to help get me out of this mess."
  • Nice Guy: When he's not being shot at, he's a pretty friendly and charming guy that seems to take a real interest in people around him, wanting to know their stories and getting involved in their lives.
    • Beware the Nice Ones: Austin is a pretty amicable guy and fun to be round and talk to. He's also responsible for nearly a dozen on-screen deaths by chapter 5.
  • The Teetotaler: One of his friends from his old gang died from a jet overdose, which is why he doesn't do chems. Another one died from poison in his drink, which is why he doesn't drink alcohol.

    Allison
Submitted by: Lobster Monster 420
"Explosive Specialist, came from Boston awhile ago, before the Minutemen came to power. Lost my arm back in Quincy. I'm not the luckiest girl in the world, but we can talk more about that when we're not about to go on a suicide mission."

The explosive specialist for the Brotherhood strike team that Austin joins. She's from Boston, just like Austin, and joined the Brotherhood to fight the Super Mutant horde.

  • Action Girl: She easily holds her own during the suicide mission in which she was introduced. Mainly due the fact that she is the...
  • Demolitions Expert: Is you need something to explode, Alison is the one to call. She has multiple varieties of grenades and bombs that can finish a fight or make a statement.
  • An Arm and a Leg: Lost her arm in Quincy, but had it replaced with a nifty synthetic one. It doesn't seem to hinder at all.
  • The Quiet One: Alison is a relatively quiet person. She typically keeps in the background of conversations, and is soft spoken, focused, and kind.
    • Beware the Quiet Ones: Despite Alison's quiet exterior, you still don't want to mess with her. She has about thirty different types of explosives on her at all times.

Austin's allies.

    H.C. Greene
A ghoul who saves Austin's life upon his first arrival in Metropool.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Has a bone to pick with the SMP ever since a few of their officers broke into his home, violated his fiance, and killed her without ever being charged with anything.
  • Mr. Exposition: Is Austin's first friendly contact in Europa and brings him up to speed on the various factions vying for control, as well as being the one to point him in the direction of his first main quest.
  • Incurable Cough of Death: Greene is victim to a violent and startling cough whenever He does some drastic intake/outtake of air (like laughing. Woah).
  • Sir Swears-a-Lot: The guy likes to swear. A lot.

Brotherhood of Steel

Metroport

A major trade hub in Europe and the largest known city still inhabited by humans. It maintains a stable economy and a steady flow of caps due to the good trading practices and tough hand of their leader, Mayor Joseph.
    Mayor Joseph Compton
The mayor of Metroport and the main reason it's been able to become so prosperous.
  • The Extremist Was Right: Uses the SMP to stamp out any disgruntled citizens and make sure nobody thinks about starting trouble. The SMP is corrupt to the core and there are several abuses, but at the same time, Metroport is the most prosperous city in all of known Europe.
    SMP
The Secret Military Police. Personal security force of the mayor of Metroport, they are charged with maintaining order in the city and making sure nothing happens to upset the balance. They do this through incredibly corrupt and sadistic ways, but to their credit, Metroport is pretty prosperous.
  • The Bad Guys Are Cops: Not so much 'bad guys' as they are completely morally unscrupulous. They are charged with maintaining order in the city, and prefer to do so by arresting anyone even remotely tied to a crime, and not really bother asking about whether or not a person was actually guilty.

Super Mutants

An army of Super Mutants organized under the military genius of Yuwen. Ordinarily, about as strong as, well, a Super Mutant. Together and under good leadership, they become a whole new league of deadly and dangerous, having taken over a large section of Europe and claiming more territory by the day.
    Yuwen
All the raw power of a Super Mutant combined with the brain of a tactical genius. He's managed to lead the Super Mutants across a nearly flawless and brutal military campaign that has so far taken 10 English counties and with no sign of being slowed down.
  • The Dreaded: Anyone with any familiarity on the situation knows that Yuwen is a force to be feared.
