Heroes
Rain Runner
The narrator protagonist of the fanfic and the genetically engineered daughter of Rainbow Dash. She was the first of the main characters to be conceived by Project Legacy and the last of them to leave Stable 112. She sets out to find the rest of the main characters to get them together, hoping to help the Wasteland.
- Blue Is Heroic: She is Rainbow Dash's daughter, and she is very, very blue other than her mane and tail.
- Expy: Compared to Ruby Starlight, she's a much straighter expy of a standard Fallout protagonist. The author has said that she was mostly based on the Sole Survivor.
- Generation Xerox: Is, probably the member of the group that most resembles their mother in behavior and appearance.
- Handicapped Badass: At the beginning of the story she's incapable of flight as a result of the magical stasis.
- Irony: Despite being the daughter of Rainbow Dash, she starts out completely incapable of flight.
Crystal Belle
The genetically created daughter of Rarity, she is the first main character that Rain Runner meets in New Pegasus. She appears in the Double Diamond Casino as a singer after having gotten into gambling debt with the Chairponies.
- Fiery Redhead: Plays with this, and she is a redhead.
- The Gambler: Is a compulsive gambler to the point she's actually introduced having gotten into debt with one of the Three Families and Rain having to free her.
- Generation Xerox: Is an almost complete aversion compared to Rarity, while she bears a physical similarity, she's considerably less generous and almost completely focused on material gain.
Vice
A young dragon that Rain Runner frees from the Omaretas that she uses as a contact and helps her learn more about the Wasteland and New Pegasus in general.
Other Characters
Wind Rider
A former Wonderbolt from before the war that has since taken control of Las Pegasus and rebuilt it into New Pegasus. He has some animosity towards Rainbow Dash and by extension Rain Runner.
- Ascended Extra: While he played a major role in the one episode he appeared in, he hasn't appeared since.
- The Atoner: He claims to be this to his actions as a Wonderbolt, but its questionable.
- Expy: Of Robert House from Fallout: New Vegas.
- I Did What I Had To: How he responds to any questions about his actions as the head of New Pegasus.
- Pragmatic Villainy: Why he hasn't spread his influence beyond New Pegasus, he only cares about keeping his city safe and knows he can't spread his forces too thin.
- Pride: : He's still an incredibly arrogant Pony, and he has an entire city at his disposal this time.
- Sharp-Dressed Man: Well, his computer image is of one at least, reflecting him in life
- The Sociopath: While he claims to be in it for the preservation of Ponykind, he is more concerned about his own power.
- Well-Intentioned Extremist: He claims to be one, and he did keep New Pegasus safe from the Megaspells
