One Crit Wonder

    Keran
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/keranonecritwonder.png
"Mama's ready to ROLEPLAY."

Keran is Vedrana's best friend, and one of the founding members of One Crit Wonder. A newbie to MMOs, she started playing Realm of Quests after moving away from Vedrana's town, and quickly got sucked in. Though she's new to the type of gaming experience Realm of Quests provides, with the help of her friends, she finds her footing and rises to the level of play her friend occupies. An avid roleplayer, she delights in learning new lore, watching all the cutscenes, and reading all the quest dialogue. Much to the chagrin of her more experienced guildmates.

Kind and energetic, she serves as both a moderating and tempering influence to Vedrana, and the guild as a whole.

    Vedrana

"I 'hate' my people."
Vedrana is Keran's best friend, and one of the founding members of One Crit Wonder and the Order of Swords. An experienced MMO player, she's come back to Realm of Quests after an extended period of absence following her ousting from her previous guild, the Order of Swords. When Keran moved away, she was motivated to pick it back up as a means of staying in contact and having something to do together. As opposed to Keran, she takes more pleasure in the progress side of the game- leveling, raiding, and PvP.

While she's foul-mouthed and ill-tempered, she genuinely wants what's best for her friends, and will, ultimately, yield to their influence if they convince her she's in the wrong.

    Theron

What you see before the Manyshot hits.
Theron is one of the top DPS players in Realm of Quests, and one of the founding members of One Crit Wonder and the Order of Swords. Theron's in the game for one thing and one thing only- being the best DPS in the entire game. An old friend of Vedrana, he switched his guild membership from the Order of Swords to One Crit Wonder once Orhan's leadership grew too intolerable. After that, he provides an expert hand to the guild, helping them with whatever they need help with, so long as that thing he's helping with needs his prowess as a DPS.

Little else is known about him- he intentionally keeps his private and digital life extremely separate, to the point where nobody in the guild knows what he looks like, or what he does for a living. Even Vedrana and Murd have no idea.

  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom Because Theron demands proof that Vedrana and Sharah are the same person, she ends up being seen by Orhan, who figures out that she's logged in on an alt, ultimately setting the plot in motion.

     xMurderBanex

Seen here: an alternate image choice for Suicidal Overconfidence
xMurderBanex is one of the DPS players in Realm of Quests, and one of the founding members of One Crit Wonder and the Order of Swords. xMurderBanex is in the game for one thing and one thing only- being the best DPS in the entire game. Pity he's not good at it. An old acquaintance of Vedrana and Theron, he was about to be kicked from the Order of Swords before bailing with Theron.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Murd's the one to tell Orhan that Vedrana's is Sharah's new alt, accidentally setting in motion the conflicts that drive the rest of the comic.

    Zhusen
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/zhusenonecritwonder.png
The smile the whole Vanguard treasures.
Zhusen plays a healer in Realm of Quests. Initially just another random player that Vedrana and Keran teamed up with, she quickly won herself a regular place in their team, and eventually, their guild as one of the founding members of One Crit Wonder. Polite and courteous to a fault, Zhusen is well-liked by just about everyone she meets.

    Lysandra
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lysandraonecritwonder.png
You're already Do T'dnote
Lysandra is an old acquaintance of Vedrana's from her days on her old main account. A warrior who jumps ship from her old guild to One Crit Wonder as soon as the opportunity presents itself, wanting to both play with her friend, and get out of her terrible guild.

Order of Swords

    Orhan

So your baby guild made some progress. Who cares?note
Orhan is a longtime player of Realm of Quests, and the current Guildmaster of the Order of Swords, the top PvP, Raid, RP, and Battlegrounds guild. After a chance meeting, he and Vedrana (then Sharah) formed a fast friendship and founded the guild with Theron and xMurderBanex. However, things started going downhill after he first hopped on voicechat with Vedrana and found out that she's a girl- and after that, began trying to woo her in-game, even going so far as to steal from the guild vault to buy her cosmetics and mounts. When his advances were rejected, and Vedrana stopped talking to him, he began plotting to have her ousted and took control of the Order of Swords in a hostile takeover- ultimately resulting in Vedrana giving up the game until Keran wanted to play it with her.

As the story starts, he learns that Vedrana is playing the game again once she logs into her old account to verify her identity with Theron. He acquires the information of her alt's name and wages a harassment campaign against her, having her camped, and generally doing his best to interfere with Vedrana and Keran's time playing Realm of Quests. Unfortunately for him, it ends poorly. Extremely poorly.

Short-tempered, spiteful, and petty, Orhan is every negative quality you could imagine wrapped up in one sleazy package.

    Tolvir
Tolvir is one of Orhan's guildmates, and his second-in-command.

Other/Unaffiliated

    Castor
An unrepentant troll and another longtime player of Realm of Quests.

    The Game Master
One of the many Game Masters of Realm of Quests, it's his duty to uphold the Terms of Service, punishing any he finds in violation of it.
