The two heroes of this animation, and the main characters.
Bob
"Bob is the main character of the show. He has a life-long dream of being a great and wise sage. Bob also likes to eat raw fish. Bob is known for his wise sayings and his magnificent echoing belches."
- Big "NO!": Sometimes drops these, especially when olives are mentioned.
- Catchphrase: "Hweh."
- Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: He acts primitive most of the time, with Alfonzo serving as the voice of the series, but when the time comes, Bob can be very, very smart.
- Cool Sword: In Episode 13. It's a fish.
- Does Not Like Spam: He hates olives, and merely the mention of eating them elicits a Big "NO!" out of him.
- Gasshole: From the mouth, thankfully.
- Kamehame Hadouken: Capable of this since Episode 13, except his energy blasts take the form of fish, while stronger and larger ones look like narwhals. And they can be eaten too.Bob: Sa-ka-na-ka-Naaaaa!!
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: Red to Alfonzo's Blue.
- Rude Hero, Nice Sidekick: Rude Hero to Alfonzo's Nice Sidekick.
- Rule of Cool: Well, like the series implies, he is cool.
- Sensitive Guy and Manly Man: Manly Man to Alfonzo's Sensitive Guy.
- Trade Mark Favorite Food: Raw fish.
Alfonzo
"Alfonzo is Bob’s best friend. He carries his favourite stick with him everywhere he goes. Nothing else can be said about Alfonzo. He is just plain weird."
- Face–Heel Turn: When his hat gets knocked off in Episode 35, we see in the next episode that he has suddenly become a villain. This ends around Episode 38.
- Go Mad from the Revelation: He screams when Fenwood reports he's been bested by Bob at the end of Episode 36.
- It's All About Me: The series is subtitled "starring Alfonzo." Bob usually chases Alfonzo off of the intro screen when the subtitle appears.
- Poke the Poodle: Most of the time. More often than not he just wants to use his trusty stick to poke things like the Walrus, but he actually tried to get Bob to club a seal.
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: Blue to Bob's Red.
- Rude Hero, Nice Sidekick: Nice Sidekick to Bob's Rude Hero.
- Sensitive Guy and Manly Man: Sensitive Guy to Bob's Manly Man.
- Super Mode: Apparently has the power to go Super Saiyan.
Girl
"This is Bob’s valentine. Isn’t she pretty? She doesn’t like Bob though, and that’s sad."
- Cool Sword: She's got a katana!
- Friend to All Living Things: Implied. She doesn't like the goat when Bob gives it to her as a gift, but she can't bear to see it turned into a sandwich.
- Super Mode: In Episode 26, she's seen to have one akin to Sailor Moon.
Fenwood
"Fenwood is a disgusting slob. He is morbidly obese and utterly useless. Nobody cares about him because he is so stupid. He was friends with Alfonzo while he was evil, but has since settled down and married a wife."
- Acrofatic: Pretty damn fat, but can still fight and move on par with Bob.
- 11th-Hour Superpower: Turns into an Ultraman-like being in Episode 52 to combat Yuckorah and Pengan. It doesn't work.
- Happily(?) Married: To Tonkya.
- Heel–Face Turn: Seems to have headed down this road in Episode 49, and even tries to assist Bobzilla in Episode 52.
Captain Mullet
"Captain Mullet is the combined and magnified powers of all four of the classical elements, as well as heart for some odd reason. He stands for all that is good and environmentally-friendly. He lives on Mt. Olympus where he spends his days water-skiing and playing shuffleboard."
- Shout-Out: Obviously, to Captain Planet.
The Colorins (Big Blue and Goody Green)
"Big Blue is an alien from the planet Color. He is friendly to all humans and is only hostile to those who wish to bring about trouble. He has a round nose.""Goody Green is an alien from the planet Color. He is helpful to anyone who is in need. He has a pointed nose."
- Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: Treated as this in Episode 24 when they come to take Yuck away.
- Call-Forward: Episode 29 features a cave painting foreshadowing them fighting Goatsbreath and Ogrehead in Episode 52.
- Put on a Bus: Had nothing more than a few small cameos after their debut episode.
- The Bus Came Back: ...until Episode 52.
Eskimo Magnus
"Eskimo Magnus is all soldier. Most comfortable when carrying out Bob’s orders. Possesses magnificent fighting skills, courage, and a gift for battlefield improvisation. Uncomfortable in the mantle of leadership, but presents strong profile as a commander. Carries missile launchers capable of hitting a target 30 miles away. Resolute, fair, and courageous beyond reproach. Ever ready to sacrifice himself for the good of men and mission."
- Shout-Out: His name could be a shout-out to Ultra Magnus. Then again, his debut episode was an entire Transformers shout-out.
- We Hardly Knew Ye: His body rejected Bob's Fish of Leadership and he died in the process.
Woody the Tree
"Woody was a talking Christmas tree at the mall. The mall management decided that Woody was behind the times so they got rid of him and replaced him with a “Santa at the Spa” theme. This was a horrible thing for anyone to do."
- Put on a Bus: Has never been seen again, not even in subsequent Christmas episodes.
- Uncanny Valley: His disturbingly realistic face frightens children.
Various critters across the Arctic and more.
The Walrus
"The walrus is like the Mr. T. of Eskimo Bob. I pity the foo who thinks he’s bigger than the walrus! The walrus is generally a playful creature, but it has a short temper. Bob and Alfonzo are always causing trouble for this poor mammal, but its quick wits and courage help it solve any problem."
- Papa Bear: To the Seal.
- Vitriolic Best Buds: Could be seen as this to Bob and Alfonzo. While it usually doesn't take too kindly to being poked by Alfonzo's stick, it will do what it can to help out the eskimo duo.
The Seal
"The seal is the craftiest creature in the North! It’s small, quick, agile, and smart enough to solve almost any problem. The seal is also cute and cuddly! Nobody can match the seal. Nobody."
- Ridiculously Cute Critter: It's a white, fluffy seal!
- Smarter Than They Look: The seal steals Alfonzo's club and hits Bob with it in Episode 5, but soon the club becomes its weapon of choice.
- The Voiceless: The seal is always mute.
Maurice the Pidgeon
"Maurice is the lone pigeon of the Arctic. Nobody likes Maurice because he has irritable bowel syndrome and doesn’t wear pants."
- Toilet Humor: His gag seems to be that he poops. A lot. He's also partially responsible for the creation of Yuck. This is exploited in Episode 39.
Fish
"Fish are Bob’s staple source of food. Every once in a while a crafty fish manages to elude him, but Bob is usually able to track it down. Bob’s friend Alfonzo also likes to eat fish."
- Trademark Favorite Food: They are this to Bob. The fish, on the other hand, seem to like eating bugs.
Fish in a Spaceship
"This fish was abducted by alien businessmen as a child. It has implants under its gills that allow it to breathe freely out of water. When the fish grew up, it stole one of the aliens’ escape pods and flew back to its home in the North."
- Badass Boast: "Do you have any idea what kind of power I have?!"
- Catchphrase / My Name Is Inigo Montoya: "I'm a FISH in a SPACESHIP!
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: The Fish in a Spaceship is full of these, and he saves most of them for the villains.Fish in a Spaceship: (to Sams) "Do you know what anyone thinks of you? Do you know what the seal thinks of you? Do you know what the walrus thinks of you? Do you know what the FISH thinks of you? That's me! YOU SUCK!"
- Those Two Guys: But just one. He's constantly making fun of the rest of the cast.
Phineas and Beatrice
"Phineas is the most romantic fish in the ocean. He belongs to the girl! Beatrice had an ugly voice and she got eaten. Hahahahaha! Strangely, she seems to have survived somehow. How will this mystery unfold? Only time will tell..."
- Not Quite Dead: Beatrice.
- Put on a Bus: After Episode 14.
- The Bus Came Back: ...until Beatrice was revealed to be Not Quite Dead in Episode 43, giving the power of Heart to summon Captain Mullet.
The Wind Fish
"The Wind Fish is a legendary creature of mystery. No one knows where it came from or why it exists. Rumour has it that if the Wind Fish were to awaken, the island of Greenland would cease to exist."
- Shout-Out: Yes, to that Wind Fish.
Bug
"The bug is one of the most complex and intriguing characters in the Arctic Circle. Its fearsome strength is matched only by its quick wit! Beware!"
Lemming
"Lemmings are dumb. They jump into the ocean."
- The Voiceless
- The Ditz: The site description (seen above) calls them dumb.
Antagonistic forces that plan to stop Bob and Alfonzo with whichever methods they can.
The Yeti
"The yeti is a bad guy. He’s always causing mischief. He works as hired muscle for various other villains."
- Dumb Muscle: For other villains, sometimes.
- Jerkass: Less a villain than say, Sams or Yuck, and more just someone who does what he wants.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He interrupts the Seal and Walrus' playtime to bring them a ball and join them for a game of monkey in the middle!
- Trademark Favorite Food: Pickles. This can either work in Yuck's favor, or massively against him.
The Penguin
"The penguin is an evil renegade from Antarctica. It travelled halfway around the world on an iceberg until finally reaching the coast of Baffin Island. As the iceberg melted, the penguin suffered a bump on the head. This angered the penguin, and it made a conscious decision to become evil at that point."
- Fusion Dance: Does this with the Sams in Episode 26. The Fish in a Spaceship mocks it.
Michael Sams
"If there was ever a character to hate, it would be Michael Sams. His origins are unknown, but he claims to be from a company called “Mudgoose Enterprises”. The actual existence of this company is doubtful, but it is rumoured that he is collaborating with the evil penguin."
- Fusion Dance: Does this with the Penguin in Episode 26. The Fish in a Spaceship mocks it.
- Take That!: Originally created to mock Zophar's Domain administrator Sam Michaels (SwampGas).
Yuck
"Yuck is what happens when poop is struck by lightning. It comes to life! Eww… Yuck is Bob’s most frequent rival, and is known for his elaborate secret plots."
- Apocalypse How: His primary plan is to destroy the sun. So far, it's never worked.
- Evil Genius: Usually the lead villain when they decide to band together.
- Flying Car: Or rather, a flying nose.
- Heel–Face Turn: Donning Alfonzo's hat makes him Bob's sidekick for three episodes. He loses it by Episode 38.
- Star Killing: "I'm going to destroy the sun!"
- Super Mode: The Yuck clones he makes in Episode 39 fuse with him to create a bigger, flabbier form. He tries using this to destroy the sun, but fails.
- Take Over the World: What he plans to do along with destroying the sun.
The Leprechaun
"The leprechaun is a crafty little fellow. He tried to change Baffin Island into New Ireland, but Bob and Alfonzo thwarted his plans and sent him back to where he came from. They didn’t eat him, that was a victory belch."
- The Voiceless: He's mute.
