    God

God

The all-powerful Creator of Existence and an ever-elusive figure within the series.

  • All-Powerful Bystander: See "The Watcher" below.
  • The Dreaded: God is utterly feared by all Fiends and other denizens of Hell, as even mentioning him within earshot will cause the demons to groan in discomfort.
  • Fate Worse than Death: He's the architect of Hell, among other things. Suffering for eternity isn't the best way to spend the afterlife.
  • The Ghost: Despite being The Big Guy in the Sky, he's never actually seen or heard throughout the entire series to date. This only fuels Samvara's theories regarding him.
  • God Is Evil: How Samvara feels regarding God. He is utterly callous and spiteful whenever mentioning the almighty deity, likening him to a self-righteous and childish tyrant. This, of course, is coming from the series Big Bad though.
  • God Is Neutral: Asrava's feelings towards God, as opposed to his master's more... aggressive opinions.
Asrava: The Big Guy? There's no rhyme or reason with how he handles shit. From what I've seen, he's like a janitor. He waits until there's a really big mess and then proceeds to clean it up. No point breakin' out the pressure washer over a tiny stain, and I hate to break it to ya, but you're the stain.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: God's real name isn't "God", as explained by Asrava. The reason the Nullians and Fiends refer to him by such is because God's true name cannot be spoken without suffering a painful demise.
  • The Scottish Trope: His real name is known by all supernatural creatures, such as the Fiends. However, they are unable to say God's mysterious name without being torn apart by the arms of angels. Even Samvara avoids saying it, despite all his power and hatred of the deity.
  • The Watcher: Implied to be God's role in the Ellipsis universe. Despite the actual corruption of Samvara and his manipulation of the position given to him, God or his divine agents never make any attempts to correct the problem. Asrava's words imply that God only intervenes when things truly get out of control on a cosmic scale, and that Samvara's crimes haven't reached this point... yet.

    The Cindered Girl

The Cindered Girl

A little girl on consistently wrapped in flames. She haunts Sada, only appearing to her in visions.

  • Covered with Scars: Her entire body is covered in burn scars. Well, the parts of her with skin left, that is.
  • Demon of Human Origin: She has a connection to Sada's past life and only appears to her. It's very much implied Sada helped make the Cindered Girl the way she is now.
  • Man on Fire: She's consistently on fire, burning away the ghostly body she has left.
  • Glowing Eyelights of Undeath: Her eyesockets are filled with flaming orbs of light.
  • Invisible to Normals: The only person who can see her is Sada.
  • Lean and Mean: The girl's entire body is practically bone and charcoal. Even her fingers are described as being like burnt matchsticks.
  • Nightmare Face: With her hair having been burnt away and a majority of her face melted off, any looks the Cindered Girl had are long gone.
  • Playing with Fire: She has powers over fire, a fitting ability given her namesake.
  • Undead Child: The Cindered Girl is a spectre from someone in Sada's past life.
  • You Know What You Did: Constantly berates Sada over her failures and sins, all the while refusing to say what they were to the confused woman.
