Characters of ECKVA
S. Hawkins
A person who inherited an old, run-down house out in the middle of nowhere. While cleaning it out, they noticed that the property was able to pick up broadcast signals from ECKVA, a TV station that had long since gone off the air. Finding this strange, they began recording the broadcasts and uploading them to YouTube.
- Ambiguous Gender: Not clear whether they are a man or a woman. If the Shelby Hawkins who worked at ECKVA is indeed a different person, then it apparently runs in the family, since Shelby is also only referred to as "they" in documents.
- Body Horror: An encounter with a bizarre monster made out of TV static has left them with a patch of static on their left arm. And it's growing.
- Captain's Log: Leaves notes at the end of the ECKVA broadcasts with their own commentary.
- Character Blog: Their twitter.
- Expy: Of Jay, a person recording the strange phenomena and uploading it to YouTube with their commentary.
- Curiosity Killed the Cast: This entire nightmare begins because they were curious about the ECKVA broadcasts.
- Do Not Taunt Cthulhu: Investigates what is clearly a dangerous and possibly supernatural occurrence. One which knows where they live. This affects them badly in #12.
- The Faceless: Unlike Jay, Hawkins is pretty keen on keeping as much of their identity under wraps as possible. They never say a single word out loud and always keep the camera pointed straight ahead. The only part of them we ever see is their arms, wearing long sleeves and blue latex gloves in order to keep every inch of skin covered. Although we do end up seeing a little bit of their bare arm when they discover the Body Horror they've been inflicted with.
- Go Mad from the Revelation: Happens for a few videos after the events of #12.
- Last-Name Basis: We only know their first initial and last name. Documents unlocked through LOUSE reveal that there was a Shelby Hawkins who worked at ECKVA, though this could be a different person (likely the original owner of the house that our Hawkins inherited).
- Unreliable Narrator: Unfortunately, that same trait that makes them smarter than Jay also makes it difficult to trust them. They definitely seem to give the absolute bare minimum information. Their involvement with ECKVA seems to be little more than applying for a job with them a long time ago as well as taking Preaxin, but it's unknown if that truly is the extent of it.
- Although, they also clearly had no intention of having an audience, simply using YouTube as a place to put their findings until the Marble Hornets twitter exposed them.

Currently the character controlled via twitter polls in the text based adventure game on Hawkin's twitter- The Determinator: Willing to stab themself in the hand to get rid of a mutant growth
- Player Character: controlled via polls from what used to be Hawkin's twitter, by the players.
- One-Hit Kill: Their signature attack: Nullify, can kill almost every character in the game. This comes with problems, as when the game begins glitching they accidentally kill Turmoil. Thankfully they get revived.
