     Bronson Craster

Bronson Craster

The Monster Master himself.

  • Graceful Loser: He's not exactly happy about losing, but he still hands over the key to Darryl's briefcase and shows our protagonists the way through the forest to the observatory.
  • The Hilarity of Hats: Wears a teeny top hat which is too small — not to mention clashing with the rest of his rather cadual outfit — to actually be fashionable.
  • Homage: He's basically one big Shout-Out to the trainers from Pokémon, with several of the monsters involved in his duel being taken straight from that franchise.
  • Jerkass: An ill-tempered and foul-mouthed man who lashes out at our heroines just for being there.
  • Mayor of a Ghost Town: Bronson has seemingly declared himself mayor of his woods, while also forbidding anyone from entering them.
  • Spell My Name With An S: Can't keep track of whether his own name is Craster or Caster. This starts getting lampshaded after a while, with him referring to himself by various names, including Bryan Cranston. Hand Waved by him being a loner who hardly ever interacts with other people.
  • Villainous Friendship: He agreed to stand guard in the Woods as a favor to Puccanici, who was his roommate back in college.

     Plantump

Not the most dangerous Mon in the forest.

  • And I Must Scream: Has ended up in such a situation due to staying in the capture cube too long. He is completely paralysed, and in constant pain.
  • Dirty Old Man: Directs some lecherous comments at Rah'ōxah.
  • Joke Character: And how! He's a stationary stump which can't actually move. Rah'ōxah "defeats" him simply by walking past him.
  • Mercy Kill: Bronson says that he's planning to do this to him once the battle's over.
  • When Trees Attack: Subverted. He's not... particularly good at the whole attacking part.

The name's pretty self-explanatory, yet still only tells half the story.

     Beelzemon

Face of a demon, mind of an angsty teen.
