Characters / Dragon Force Highland Kingdom

Go To

Highland Kingdom has existed from time uncounted. A Highland man's honour means more to him than his own life. Sadly, many paid the ultimate price for honour when they opposed the Dark God Madruk. Despite sustaining heavy casualties, Highland was the first kingdom to rebuild after Madruk was locked away by Harsgalt. The monarchs who have ruled over the land have done so with a kind but firm hand. They have created a kingdom that is peaceful, tranquil, and policed by the chivalrous Highland Knights.

Highland is known for its farming, agricultural, and forestry industries, all of which are under private ownership. These products are not only used locally, but are also exported to other nations. The most pressing economic concern is the lack of industrialized work. Tools, equipment, and other manufactured items are imported from other nations.

Situated at the south-east corner of Legendra, Highland has an excellent geographical location. With the ocean bordering it on two sides, invading threats can really only come from the north and west. With good fortification of these vulnerable fronts, Highland is relatively secure.

Class: Knight
After becoming the king of Highland at the age of seventeen, Wein quickly displayed his ability to be a capable and compassionate ruler. His enemies know him as an extremely cunning and brilliant warrior. His reputation has grown and spread through all of Legendra, causing many of his enemies to defect to Highland in order to join him.

     Nolun
After the death of Wein's father, Nolun was appointed Wein's chief advisor. He helps Wein care for the diplomatic affairs of the kingdom.

     Rudger
Class: Fighter
Despite his rather flamboyant lifestyle, Rudger is one of the best sword masters in the kingdom. It is rumoured that he and Kharhaz of Fandaria trained under the same sword master.

     Galam
Class: Knight
Galam's family has served as palace knights for generations. He has earned a reputation for being a rather stubborn and inflexible man. However, he has earned the respect of everyone who has fought at his side.

     Nina
Class: Priest
After discovering Nina's ability to heal people, Wein quickly enlisted her to serve in the palace guard. Not only has she mastered the art of healing, but has more than proven herself to be a very effective fighter.

     Link
Class: Fighter
Link grew up being Wein's attendant. He is very close to Wein and views him more as an older brother than his king. Although he acts immature, he is talented with a blade.
  • Tagalong Kid: Pretty young, but still a good fighter nonetheless.

     Hilga and Rock
Classes: Thief (both)
A pair of thieves that fight against the ruler of Travan, Lord Borgon. They attack Wein believing to work for the tyrant.

The Flash Knights (Ogredd and Lone)
Classes: Knight (both)
Travan's first line of defense. They protect Travan Castle from potential invaders.
  • Ambiguously Brown: Ogredd.
  • Blow You Away: Both of them have the Hyper-Storm spell.
  • Genius Bruiser: Despite being a Knight, Ogredd is intelligent enough to fortify or search castles. Lone sometimes starts with the requisite 70 Intelligence as well.
  • My Master, Right or Wrong: Ogredd knows that Borgon is a massive bastard, but keeps serving under him because he's bound to serve Travan's ruling family. Wein snapped him out of this mindset.
  • Sidekick: Lone appears to be Ogredd's squire.
