Mal
- Breath Weapon: In her dragon form, Mal can breathe fire.
- Draconic Humanoid: Her cursed form is humanoid with her dragon head. It's also gender-ambiguous
- Hates Wearing Dresses: her clothing usually consists of a tank top, pants, and sometimes armor. She does, eventually wear something like a dress to blend into a crowd, and she doesn't hate it as much as she thought.
- The Aloner: after the dragons were all seemingly murdered, Mal settled in her own little cottage and lives a quiet life. Well, aside from Jax dragging her out on adventures
- Were Dragon: she can freely switch between her more humanoid form and her dragon form after the elves' curse breaks.
Jax
- Affectionate Pickpocket: When Jax tries to steal the keys from Finn, he continually flirts with him. This backfires, as Finn takes a liking to Jax and asks him out on a date. The rest is history.
- Camp Gay: the more flamboyant, extroverted gay to Finn's Straight Gay
Viktor
- Amazing Technicolor Population: Viktor has blue skin.
Finn
- Brainwashed and Crazy: Is mind-controlled for most of the first arc.
Rylee
- Sixth Ranger: Joins the group in season 2.
Azara
- Villain Has a Point: Azara has every right to get revenge on the elves, considering they were the ones that caused most of the dragon race to be slaughtered, and want to keep dragons in a powerless state.
