"I'm so hungry..."

"Feed me."

"Here, eat a Digi Mushroom. It won't make you feel any better, but it'll make me feel like I did something for you."

"I'm glad I let you sleep under my tree. Most Digimon here just want to fight me or take my territory, but you bring me food and actually talk to me. I missed talking to other Digimon, in fact I can't even remember the last time I did before you."

"I don't know where you guys are going to be a month or a year from now, but I'll be rooting for you. After all, I want to see what food you can bring me."

    Ion

Ion - Loyal Companion

Resident Genius

  • Academy of Evil: When Coal and Ion are recruited into Lilithmon's army, Ion was put into strategy classes.
  • Affably Evil: Ion is loyal and friendly but underneath it he's still a merciless Digimon.
  • After-Combat Recovery: Despite possessing no healing technique Ion can provide this thanks to his knowledge in herbalism.
  • A Lizard Named "Liz": Ion named a Tankmon "Tank".
  • Arm Cannon: A feature of Centarumon.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: The reason Ion is so loyal to Coal is that Coal had spared his life after beating him back when they first met at SCSI Domain, given him an item he desired and helped free him and his fellow Digimon from Harugumon's control
  • Breath Weapon: Had one as a Gabumon, what with his Blue Blaster attack.
  • Come with Me If You Want to Live: While looking for Lord Gluttony in the Labyrinth, Ion was cornered by the Ultimate Minotarumon and only saved by Coal breaking down the Labyrinth's walls allowing them to escape.
  • Cyclops: Ion only possesses a single red eye that shines from beneath the shadow of his helmet.
  • Energy Weapon: He can shoot these out of his right arm, a standard attack of all Centarumon.
  • Hollywood Cyborg: His transformation into Centarumon has turned him into this, seeing as his head, left shoulder and right hand are now mechanical.
  • Horn Attack: He could pull this off as a Gabumon, due to the large and pointed horn sprouting out from the middle of his forehead.
  • Literal-Minded: Ion was this from his days as a Gabumon, though it seemed to have disappeared once he Digivolved into Centarumon.
  • Light Is Not Good: My god the actions Ion performed while Lobomon the spirit of light definitely proved this. He mangled the data of rookies and made them power robots against their will all because they made a fan club of someone with the same name as his dead master, killed the local guardian in front of everyone as an example so they wouldn't rebel, threatened to kill off people closet to coal if he tried to use hit and run tactics forcing him into a direct confrontation, and after grilling someone on information on coal fired them out of a canon which was horrifying even if he was a terrible human being.
Lord Gluttony: "Coal, you better get this guy to shut up or I'm putting him through a freakin' wall."
Ion: "These walls are too thick for me to be shoved through at your present power level."
  • Mr. Exposition: Because of his intelligence and knowledge, Ion is often put into this role to provide Coal (and the players) with the lore.
  • My Master, Right or Wrong: Ion has showed his loyalty to Coal and Impmon, referring to them as "Lord" and "Master". His extremely polite manner and Victorian way of speaking only strengthens this point.
  • Our Centaurs Are Different: Centarumon are rather close in design when it comes to the stereotypical centaur, although they differentiate themselves by being a good deal larger than your average centaur, along with the mechanical head, right arm and hand, the latter of which has transformed into a make-shift cannon of sorts capable of shooting lasers.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Ion only has a single red eye showing through his helmet, a rather intimidating part of his anatomy that can easily unnerve other Digimon if he's staring right at them, a fact that's not helped by Ion's generally-ruthless and logical personality.
  • Reptiles Are Abhorrent: He was vaguely reptile-like as a Gabumon and still had his coldly-logical way of thinking that made him rather efficient, if a bit off-putting. He was the one who initially threw out the option of killing the Hagurumon that would later go on to become Rain, after all.
  • Sole Survivor: During a deadly raid carried out by Puppetmon's force, Ion realized the inevitable and made a Tactical Withdrawal making him the only survivor of his squad.
  • The Smart Guy: Ion is the smartest character in the cast, boasting intelligence much higher than most Ultimate Digimon despite him being a Champion.
  • The Strategist: Ion has the attitude for this and has been trained by Lilithmon's force to fit the role.
  • True Companions: Ion is this to Coal and Lord Gluttony.
    Arbormon

Arbormon - Legendary Warrior of Wood

Casual Fourth Wall Breaker
"Now I remember! Youse guys gave me all that Giant Meat in Tropical Jungle! It's me, Mushroomon! You remember me, right?"

"Say, we're friends, right? And friends name kids after friends, right?"

"Well if you two make a baby, can it be named Arbormon No. 2? I like numbers, even though I'm not the best at counting. Apparently you guys can make more Digimon thanks to L-"

"Remember, you can request at any time from your love interest to share data and create a new Digimon. Just ask Lilithmon's permission to learn how! The higher your affection rating with them, the better your chances will be, right?"

—Digimon World: Infamy - Arbormon

  • Abnormal Limb Rotation Range: Seeing as how his limbs are connected to his body by wires, there's nothing stopping him from completely rotating his limbs in any way he sees fit.
  • Bear Hug: Arbormon did this to Coal and Sorcerymon when he first met them as the Hybrid of Wood.
  • Big Eater: Arbormon is known for being quite the glutton. He was easily able to eat more than Coal and Lord Gluttony combined. It should be noted that Coal was a giant dinosaur at the time. Even when Arbormon was being beat down by an angered Rain he was still calling out for hamburgers.
  • Boisterous Bruiser: Arbormon is a jolly, funny guy with power to mow down squad of Digimons with ease.
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall: He does this oftenly and casually.
  • Can't Live with Them, Can't Live Without Them: Arbormon reminded Coal of his lost friend Kunemon due to his laziness and fondness for food.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: Arbormon casually and usually breaks the fourth wall gives him this impression to Coal and the cast.
  • Detachment Combat: His limbs can be detached and launched at enemy since they are connected by wires to him.
  • Evolution Power-Up: He went from a regular Mushroomon to the powerful Arbormon and finally The Juggernaut Petaldramon.
  • Killed Off for Real: Was killed at the hands of his "ally", Duskmon.
  • Mechanical Monster: Arbormon is a clay doll shaped murder machine.
  • Mighty Glacier: Arbormon is super tough and strong but slow and stupid.
  • Dumb Muscle: Arbormon possess immense brute power but lacks the intelligence and tact. He is also very straight forward.
  • Moment Killer: Arbormon did this twice by accident. Once to Coal's confession of love to Rain as Ranamon. Another to their romantic dinner.
  • Good Old Fisticuffs: Arbormon's main mean of attack is to punch enemy to death.
  • Through His Stomach: Arbormon loved Rain's hamburger and Coal used to give him Giant Meat for information.
  • True Companions: Arbormon is this to Strings and Coal.
    Strings

Strings - In Need of a Friend

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/woodmon.jpg
Don't agree to play with him.
"We're going to go play with the Digimon we meet!"

"Mostly 'how hard can I hit you' and 'how many hits does it take to get to the center of a Digimon'. You want to play with me?"

"Of course they're games, I play them all the time! I whack Digimon pretty good, and then I get even stronger with their data so I can hit others even better!"

"Arbormon, what does she have that we...that we don't?"

"Don't leave me...Arbormon..."

—Digimon World: Infamy - Strings

The "brother" of Arbormon, Strings is a Digimon whose loneliness is on par with Rain's, but he will throw a tantrum if you ever point it out to him. He seeks friends, but his childish and spoiled personality drive away others who might otherwise be friendly. This seems to feed into his attitude, and so by wanting and being ignored by possible friends he ends up driving away those who might otherwise become them. Similar to Rain's hobby of creating stuffed animals, he creates puppets to substitute for actual friends, leading to him being named Strings by his brother.

  • Adaptational Heroism: While certainly not a golden example of heroism, it can't be mistaken that Strings' current behavior is leagues above that of his past actions in canon as Puppetmon
  • Action Dad: Now has become the father of four children.
  • Adaptational Wimp: Going from one of the Dark Masters to the champion-level Woodmon definitely qualifies him as one, although he's still much stronger than your average Woodmon.
  • Badass Adorable: His digivolution into Pumpkinmon, a child-sized plushtoy with a jack-o-lantern for a head, definitely qualifies him as this. It doesn't hurt that, despite Pumpkinmon's looks, it's still very much an Ultimate-level Digimon.
  • Being Personal Isn't Professional: If there's one thing that Strings isn't, it's social. At the best of times, getting a proper and polite conversation out of him is like pulling teeth.
  • Character Development: Since Coal and String's first meeting, where the latter was unrepentant in his behavior and didn't give the thought of listening to others a single second of consideration to actually listening and even making deals with others over outright demanding something, there has been a noticeable increase in niceness when it comes to String's personality.
  • Dumb Muscle: Even though he's one of the more power digimon in the entire digital world he isn't that smart.
  • Draco in Leather Pants: Thankfully adverted as everyone who interacts with the deranged Woodmon doesn't see his "playing" with helpless Digimon as anything but needless cruelty.
  • Desperately Craves Affection: If there's one thing in the world that Strings wants above all else, even if he won't voice the desire out-loud without being half-dead first, it's friends.
  • Evil Puppeteer: As a puppetmon strings is easily able to be this just like in his past life he used to puppet digimon against their will.
  • Five Stages of Grief: Immediately after Arbormon's death, Strings ran at Duskmon in a grief-filled fury, although this ended with him getting beaten and cursed. Later on, both at Nature Spirit Village and when he was seen attending the celebration party for Smoke becoming a Champion, he seems to have slipped into the depression stage. Only time will tell if he'll eventually come to accept it.
  • Friendless Background: Seeing as he was originally Puppetmon, this goes without saying.
  • Glowing Eyes of Doom: Naturally gained them when he digivolved into Pumpkinmon, an Ultimate-level Digimon with a literal jack-o-lantern for a head.
  • Green Thumb: Strings is naturally good at anything involving plants or flora, considering he's a Nature-type Digimon. His digivolution into Pumpkinmon allows him to summon gigantic pumpkins out of thin air with his Trick or Treat technique.
  • I Just Want to Have Friends: As previously noted above, it's basically the thing Strings desires most in the world.
  • In Harmony with Nature: As a Woodmon, Strings has a natural affinity towards the forests and jungles of the Digital World, not to mention the trademark ability of all Woodmon to hide and blend in with the local fauna by masquerading as regular trees.
  • Innocent Blue Eyes: Averted, Strings might have blue eyes but this sadistic Woodmon is anything but innocent.
  • Lack of Empathy: One of the many traits that carried over from his time as Puppetmon, it's the biggest reason behind why he can't seem to make any friends at all.
  • Loners Are Freaks: With a hobby of making wooden puppets and regularly torturing weaker Digimon, it's rather hard to argue against Strings being a little deranged from his loneliness.
  • Loony Friends Improve Your Personality: With a brother in the form of the rather odd Arbormon and having a friend in the form of the blunt Knightmon known as Coal keeping their eyes on him, there has been some improvement in his behavior since meeting them.
  • Meaningful Echo: The desperate question towards his companion: "Cherrymon/Arbormon.....what do they have that I/we don't?"
  • Multi-Armed and Dangerous: As a Woodmon, Strings naturally has two sets of arms, one lower pair that have functioning hands and one higher pair that end in jagged, wooden edges meant for ruthlessly pummeling enemies.
  • Non-Human Head: Seeing as he digivolved into Pumpkinmon, a Digimon with a literal pumpkin for a head, he definitely falls under this.
  • Pintsized Powerhouse: Played with. Strings counts as this when it comes to his own species, as he has been noted to be on the smaller side when it comes to the average Woodmon but, outside of his own species, he still towers over any Rookie-level Digimon and even a good amount of Champions.
  • Plant Person: If his Champion-level form of Woodmon didn't count, his Ultimate-level form of Pumpkinmon, a cross between a child-sized doll and a jack-o-lantern definitely does.
  • Playing with Fire: He gained the ability to do this through his new Jack O'Lantern attack, one of Pumpkinmon's trademark abilities.
  • Pumpkin Person: He digivolved into Pumpkinmon off-screen, an Ultimate Digimon who resembles nothing more than a kid-sized doll with a jack-o-lantern for a head.
  • Ship Tease: He gets this treatment, both in-universe and out of universe with Naomi, the Lillymon/Palmon from Digimon Adventure.
  • The Reveal: While it hasn't been revealed to anyone in-story, it's hard to talk about Strings at all without mentioning how he's the reincarnation of Puppetmon.
  • Trash Talk: Strings certainly doesn't hold back when it comes to insulting his opponents, especially if he's the one winning.
  • When Trees Attack: Woodmon in general can basically be described as giant, sentient trees with a bad disposition, doubly so when it comes to Strings.

Coal's Forces

     Suzuka

Kotemon - Loyal Servant

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kotemon.jpg
  • Being Personal Isn't Professional: Originally didnt pursue a relationship with Lyon because of military hierarchy but now has a chance to.
  • By the Lights of Their Eyes: Kotemon's glowing yellow eyes are the only parts of her face that can be seen eminating from behind her mask.
  • Bodyguard Crush: Lyon is this to her and she to him
  • Can't Catch Up: Because of her using one of coal old armors Suzuka doesnt have the growth rate of others in her group. Now she has to choose between keep going or remove her armor and start even further behind.
  • Jack of All Stats: All of her stats, while particularly high for only a Rookie-level Digimon, are balanced with no one stat standing out above the others.
  • Lizard Folk: The scaled tail and feet poking out of her armor classify Kotemon as a Reptile-type Digimon.
  • The Apprentice: Passed down from Tank to Ion and then finally to Coal, Kotemon has been instructed upon the art of war and has been ordered to help Coal during the war with the remains of Puppetmon's army.
  • Samurai: Kotemon's armor draws heavily from real world Samurai with a bit of Kendo influence.
  • Secret Legacy: She is the daughter of The Myotismon and is currently unaware of this because of coal and Lilithmon
  • The Quiet One: Kotemon rarely speaks up unless it's absolutely necessary, much like her new leader, Coal.
  • Undying Loyalty: No matter who her master is at the moment, Kotemon pledges herself to them in her entirety. Every order from her leader might as well be law when it comes to her following through. It's this trait in particular that ends up with her staring down and even attacking the much stronger Metal Greymon and later the Demon Lord Barbamon to protect Coal and his family.
  • Wooden Katanas Are Even Better: Kotemon's weapon of choice.

     Ursula

Ursula - Loyal Secretary

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gazimon.jpg
  • Affably Evil: Ursula doesn't seem interested in being evil for evil's sake, instead preferring to do so for the affection of her superiors.
  • Boring, but Practical: While Ursula's role as the squad's secretary isn't exactly glamorous, she does keep track of all of the group's resources, such as food and medicine, knowledge they would be hard-pressed to go without.
  • Cartoon Creature: Ursula, as a Gazimon, has traits from rabbits, cats and dogs.
  • Damsel in Distress: Coal and his squad wake up one morning to find her missing so they set out to track her down, later stumbling across her beaten and bruised body and saving her from an untimely death at the hands of any opportunistic Digimon skulking about.
  • Desperately Craves Affection: Tries to enamor herself to Coal in any way she can in the efforts to receive a few kind words or a gesture of affection. She also has the tendency to sleep as close to Coal as she possibly can without physically touching him.
  • First Law of Resurrection: Due to her dying in Rain's arms and all of her data being absorbed, Ursula eventually gets a second lease on life as Rain and Coal's children. Yes, children, as in plural. Thanks to Lilithmon experimenting on the willing Rain, she ends up with eight bodies and one mind in a Hive Mind scenario.
  • Girl Friday: Ursula serves Coal as a faithful servant, always trying to help him in any way she can, be it keeping track of the squad's resources as their secretary or going above and beyond the call of duty in mapping out the surrounding area.
  • Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: She ends up getting impaled upon Metal Greymon's metallic claws.
  • Killed Off for Real: Gets destroyed right in front of Coal and Rain, who had come to care for her like a surrogate daughter.
  • Marshmallow Hell: Put through this when she first encounters Rain, not that she seemed to mind in the least that she was being hugged by the affectionate Ranamon.
  • Ridiculously Cute Critter: Mixing traits of rabbits, cats and dogs, it's one of the reasons Rain instantly takes a shine to her, all but adopting Ursula as a daughter.
  • Taking the Bullet: Jumped in the way of Metal Greymon's talons that were aimed directly at the defenseless Coal, likely saving his life.
  • The Paralyzer: Naturally has access to the move Electric Stun Blast
  • The Woobie: There are hints that she served under the reincarnated Etemon, or other harsh generals, during her enrollment in Lilithmon's army and supposedly is the reason behind why she tries so hard to stay in her commanding officer's good graces.
  • Tragic Keepsake: Coal and Rain have both been left with a bow they had intended to give to Ursula as a present before her untimely demise at the hands of Metal Greymon.
  • Wolverine Claws: Naturally has a set of rather impressive-looking claws that can easily shred through other Digimon.

     Meramon

Meramon - Energetic Follower

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/meramon_b_0.jpg
  • Fanboy: Seems to be one for Rain, keeping up to date with her life as a celebrity and even knowing that she had settled down with a Knightmon who he later found out was Coal.
  • Fragile Speedster: While not as frail as his teammate Vilemon, his defenses still aren't that good in comparison to his speed and attack.
  • Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: Ends up being run through by Duskmon's swords.
  • Killed Off for Real: Struck down while completely defenseless by Duskmon, much to everyone's shock.
  • Kill It with Fire: His main method of dealing with enemies.
  • Mouth Stitched Shut: The only part of his body that is not made of fire. He can still talk despite the stitches.
  • Mundane Utility: Entire body completely covered in flames? Well, you'd make an excellent campfire!
  • Next Tier Power-Up: He's the first of Coal's squad to digivolve while under his care, although he doesn't get to enjoy it for long before he's uncerimoniously killed.
  • Playing with Fire: As his body is made of fire, his attacks rely entirely on the flame element.
  • Plucky Comic Relief: He serves as this out of the group of Digimon that make up Coal's squad.
  • Shoo Out the Clowns: One of the more kind-hearted and humorous of Coal's new squad, his death signifies a turn for the worse when it comes to the War Arc.
  • Wreathed in Flames: As a Meramon, he resembles nothing more than a humanoid form completely made out of fire.

     Vilemon

Vilemon - Evil and Vile Follower

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/evilmon.jpg
  • Break Them by Talking: Has this nasty habit of verbally tearing into his teammates, especially the kind Numemon or the loyal Gazimon.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: Strings received Coal's personal permissing to continue playing "Hide and Seek" with him, meaning he was chased all throughout the forest by a murderous Woodmon and likely "played with".
  • Dirty Coward: Instead of trying to help his wounded teammates or helping Strings with MetalGreymon and the enemy Hybrids, he chose to flee back towards home base.
  • Fragile Speedster: All of his stats are put into his Attack and Speed, making him one of the strongest and fastest of the squad while having paper-thin defenses.
  • Hated by All: Due to his deplorable personality and prideful demeanor for being a Champion-level Digimon among Rookies, despite being noted as exceptionally weak even among Vilemon, none of his squad-mates or Coal enjoy having him around.
  • Killed Off for Real: He's killed by Strings for outright insulting him and spreading nasty rumors about Coal.
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: As stated above, there's not a lot of people who would speak admirably about him, if any at all. The sole reason he was assigned to Coal in the first place was due to no one else wanting him on their squad.
  • Glasgow Grin: A natural trait of Vilemon as a species, his expression is always locked in a giant, tooth-filled grin.
  • Screw This, I'm Out of Here!: As stated above, Vilemon isn't exactly afraid of running away from a situation if things get even remotely dicey.
  • Wings Do Nothing: While Vilemon do possess moderatly-sized wings, they seem to get by through simple hovering instead of actually flapping them to fly.
  • You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: Coal sentences Vilemon to death by Strings for spreading callous rumors about him, insulting Strings and overall being a general nuisance.

     Troopsy

Troopsy - Kind and Friendly Bear

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/numemon.jpg
  • Bear Hug: Can naturally give these out as a Monzaemon, helpful since they're pretty good at calming Digimon down.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Despite being one of, if not the kindest member of Coal's squad, that doesn't stop him from leaving Snow with his wounds unattended after a fight the Snow Goblimon started.
  • Blob Monster: Averted. He might look like nothing more than a blob with a face but, in actuality, he's more in line with an everyday mollusk then anything else.
  • Cuddle Bug: One Of Troopsy's test to become a member of Toy Town and to receive his own monzeamon suit involved cuddling which he received a 100% pass score on.
  • Eye on a Stalk: As is natural for a Numemon.
  • Fantastic Racism: Can occasionally be the subject of this, seeing as becoming a Numemon in the first place is often looked down upon by other Digimon, on top of Numemon's rather unappealing appearance.
  • Fish Eyes: His gaze always seems to be aimed in two different directions.
  • The Medic: Was assigned as the official medic for Coal's Squad, making sure that he keeps himself away from the front lines and instead focuses his attention on keeping his squad-mates alive.
  • Living Toy: As a Monzeamon Troopsy now has this going on for him. With the appearance of a giant stuffed teddy bear capable of talking guarding and making people happy.
  • Nice Guy: From offering words of encouragement to a distraught ally to always making sure they're healed up enough to keep on fighting, Numemon is one of the few kind characters of Coal's squad.
  • Pointless Band-Aid: Troopsy has two simple bandages on his body that are largely pointless since he's a slug inside a stuffed bear outfit.
  • Protectorate: Becomes one of Toy Town and its inhabitants when he lands the job and sequentially digivolves into Monzaemon.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Thankfully averted, as despite Monzaemon's red, creepy-looking eyes, he's a guardian above all else.
  • Reluctant Warrior: Oddly enough for being born in the Digital World, a Death World where Might Makes Right is the only real law, he seems to not have that violent edge that most Digimon do when it comes to throwing themselves into the fray.
  • Scary Teeth: Naturally, as a Numemon, his mouth and teeth take up about 95% of his entire body, the latter being quite large and looking like they could easily chew through boulders.
  • Stone Wall: With a decent amount of health and his highest stat being his defense, Numemon isn't the easiest Digimon to bring down.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Digivolving into Monzaemon did him a lot of favors when it comes to his stats and general appearance.
  • Ugly Cute: He might not be the most physically attractive of Digimon but his helpful and cheerful personality make him rather endearing in his own special way.

     Bakemon

Bakemon - Bake Bake Bake

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bakemon2.jpg
  • Bedsheet Ghost: He resembles nothing more than a damaged, floating bedsheet with arms, eyes and teeth.
  • Black Eyes of Crazy: Bakemon's entire sclera are completely pitch-black, only the white iris standing out.
  • Casting a Shadow: Naturally has a limited control over darkness for some of his attacks, such as his Darkness Wave.
  • Fragile Speedster: Stronger then he looks and one of the fastest members on the squad, the only thing keeps him from being a Glass Cannon is the lack of powerful techniques to back up his large attack stat.
  • Intangibility: Being a Digimon modeled after the stereotypical ghost, this comes with the territory.
  • Invisibility: Also one of his abilities granted by being a Bakemon.
  • Killed Off for Real: After playing host to Myotismon for years, the evil digimon was finally revived. What did he do shortly afterwords? Kill of Bakemon with an offhand attack.
  • Killer Rabbit: He doesn't look like much, nothing more than a haunted, ripped blanket but he's still a Champion-level Digimon and shouldn't be underestimated.
  • Natural Weapon: His hands might not look impressive but they hide a pair of nasty claws that aren't to be underestimated. They're even used in his ultimate attack Zombie Claw.
  • Older Than They Look: Despite being a simple Champion, it's been revealed that he's been around since Myotismon ruled over what is now Lilithmon's army.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: One of, if not the tiniest member of Coal's squad, he's still one of the strongest amoung his peers.
  • Pokémon Speak: His main character trait, only being able to say the first part of his name. It obviously doesn't make communicating with him an easy affair.
  • Scary Teeth: He's got a nasty set of chompers that can easily take an unsuspecting Digimon by suprise.

     Mirage

Mirage - Violent Loner

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gizamon.jpg
  • Artificial Limbs: As Gigadramon Mirage has artificials arms which lets him interact with the world as he did as a champion they also let him shoot laser beams and fire missiles from his claws.
  • Cyborg: After coming out of a healing coma and receiving a life saving data transfer from his boss Mirage has digivolved into a cyborg dragon digimon known as Giagramon.
  • Expy: Based off of, and got his name from, Mirage from Transformers: Energon (Tidal Wave in Transformers: Armada).
  • Facial Horror: As Cyclomon, half of his face has been caved in/destroyed along with his right eye.
  • Fangs Are Evil: He's got a mouth full of them, a few poking out past his lips at all times as well.
  • Fiery Redhead: Has bright-red hair going all the way down his back and he's one of the most combat-happy members of Coal's squad.
  • Kick the Dog: Before his "talk" with Coal, he was noted to freely attack both enemies and allies alike.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Surprisingly fast despite his appearance, he can take a hit and return just as easily.
  • Loners Are Freaks: Preferring his own company above anyone else', combined with his trend of attacking his allies definitely qualifies him as this.
  • Making a Splash: As a Gizamon, he has a few water-based moves in his arsenal.
  • Ninja Pirate Zombie Robot: Mirage after achieving ultimate became a cybernetic dragon with the elements Machine, water, and electric.
  • Oni: Digivolving into Cyclomon of all beings classifies him as this.
  • Our Dragons Are Different: He is a dramon type digimon with cybernetic implants artificial hands with two opposing elements different is cutting it mildly.
  • Power-Upgrading Deformation: While he has grown stronger by digivolving into Cyclomon, his new form is hard to look at, what with it's bulging veins, over-sized muscles and gigantic right arm.
  • Reptiles Are Abhorrent: Has several reptile-like traits and not too agreeable of a personality to boot.
  • Right Hand of Doom: His right hand is much larger than his left hand, as is natural for a Cyclomon.
  • Rolling Attack: One of his attacks as Gizamon is to roll towards his enemy in the hopes of slashing them with his spines.
  • Shark Fin of Doom: Four of them at that, all perfectly lined up on his back.
  • Snake People: As a ultimate Mirage lost his legs and acquired a snake bottom half along with wings.
  • The Brute: Isn't that smart and doesn't seem to care for much outside of combat, of which he excels at.
  • The Quiet One: So far, despite him being under Coal's leadership for a couple weeks, nobody has yet to hear him utter a single word.
  • The Right Hand of Doom: As Cyclomon, one of his arms is dis-proportionally bigger than the other, about twice as big, if not more.

     Gob-Gob

Gob-Gob - Goblimon Trio Leader

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/goblimon_b.jpg
  • Asskicking Leads to Leadership: A firm believer in this, as he sees anyone weaker than him unfit of their leadership position.
  • Bad with the Bone: Gains one when he digivolves into Ogremon.
  • Blood Knight: It's a bit of a species-wide trait for Goblimon, enjoying the thrills that combat provides.
  • Carry a Big Stick: Naturally is equipped with one as a Goblimon and upgrades into a spiked bone-cudgel when he digivolves.
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: As smart as a brick but can easily beat down fellow Rookies and Champions alike except Woodmon.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: Gets absolutely torn to shreds by a Woodmon ambush while he was already wounded.
  • Delinquent Hair: Sports the trademark Goblimon mohawk.
  • Glasgow Grin: His mouth is permanently in this position as an Ogremon.
  • Killed Off for Real: Slain by numerous Woodmon in an ambush during the forest war arc.
  • Klingon Promotion: Seeks to up his standing in the world by constantly challenging his superiors in the hopes of usurping their position.
  • Might Makes Right: In his eyes, If you're not the strongest guy around, you shouldn't be leading.
  • Oni: Digivolving into Ogremon classifies him as one.
  • Our Goblins Are Different
  • Power-Upgrading Deformation: Ogremon, while possessing impressive-looking muscles, is far from what one would consider nice to look at.
  • Stupid Evil: Not the smartest member of Coal's squad, not by a long-shot. He'll still gleefully pummel anyone he's ordered to though.
  • What Could Have Been: By Word of God, if he hadn't died, Gob-Gob would've constantly challenged Coal to fights over his leadership position.

     Snowcat

Snowcat - Cackling Warrior

  • Ain'tToProudToBeg: After suffering critical wounds in battle he begged his superior coal to restore him. Coal while disgusted by the begging obliged and gave snow enough data to not only recover and digivolve but put him ahead of the others in the squad when it comes to how fast he grows in strength.
  • Ax-Crazy: If there's one thing Snow isn't, it's mentally stable. From laughing maniacally to rushing into battle at the drop of the hat, he's kind of the quest's poster-boy for mental instability.
  • Bishōnen Line: While his first two forms were nothing to call home about after reaching ultimate he seems to be getting better in the looks department.
  • Blood Knight: The thrill of the fight is basically Snow's purpose in life.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: Despite his various mental hang-ups, he's one of the best fighters Coal has at his disposal.
  • Butt-Monkey: If something bad is going to happen to someone on Coal's squad, chances are it's happening to Snow, usually due to his own actions.
  • Carry a Big Stick: Snow has the regular Goblimon mallet and trades up for a thick ice-club when he digivolves to Hyougamon.
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: You wouldn't expect the dumb, cackling goblin to be one of the most dangerous opponents among his squad-mates.
  • Elemental Eye Colors: Has blue-colored eyes and uses ice or snow in most of his attacks.
  • Evil Laugh: Prone to laughing at just about any moment but it's especially prominent when he's either in the middle of a fight or about to instigate one.
  • Expy: By Word of God, Snow is based off of Snow Cat from Transformers: Energon (Cyclonus in Transformers: Armada).
  • Glasgow Grin: As a Ogremon sub-species, his expression is permanently stuck in an open-mouth grin.
  • An Ice Person: It comes with the territory when you're a Snow Goblimon.
  • Improbable Weapon User: As a Hyougamon, his weapon of choice is nothing more than a sharp chunk of ice.
  • The Hyena: Half the time, he's not so much talking as he's splitting his sides with laughter.
  • Large Ham: Snow is nothing but bombastic and larger then life when he's good and riled up.
  • Leeroy Jenkins: Doesn't waste a single second in thinking up a strategy or method of attack when confronted with an enemy force, instead preferring to rush head-first into the thick of things. It's almost gotten him killed once or twice.
  • Oni: His digivolution into Hyougamon firmly marks him as one, just like Ogremon and Fugamon.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: When he returns to base with coal he is silent after the death of his friend demo. Which is out of character for Snowcat since he's usually response is one of constant talking and rearing for a another fight.
  • Our Goblins Are Different
  • Palette Swap: Besides the change in clothes, the only thing differentiating him from a regular Goblimon is his blue-colored skin.
  • Powerful, but Inaccurate: Snow's attacks will leave even a decent Ultimate wincing at the blow but he's too hyped up on blood-lust and the thrill of combat to really take the time to aim properly.
  • Power-Upgrading Deformation: His evolution into Hyougamon, while making him much stronger, isn't exactly easy on the eyes.
  • Signature Laugh: A high-pitched "Ladidadida!"
  • Stupid Evil: Snow absolutely delights in the thrill of combat and crushing enemies under his heel but a strategist or deep-thinker he is not.

     Demo

Demo - Loyal Grunt

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/shamamon.jpg
  • Angst? What Angst?: Besides a brief moment of sadness when he's watching Gob-Gob die, he doesn't seem to be too affected by his friend's death.
  • Bad with the Bone: Wields one as a Fugamon.
  • Came Back Strong: After dying at radish base demo's digicore was retrieved and was brought back stronger than before thanks to coal's data donation sadly he is without his memories now.
  • Carry a Big Stick: Naturally carries around a club as a Goblimon sub-species and as a Fugamon.
  • Conflicting Loyalty: When his old boss came back and wanted him back he had a moral dilemma of staying with his new allies or returning to his old side. He eventually chose Coal sacrificing his life in order for coal to live.
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: He's only a little more smarter than your average Goblimon but he still has the strength and ferocity of one.
  • Co-Dragons: He serves as this alongside Musyamon when it comes to Coal
  • Delinquent Hair: Spouts the trademark Goblimon mohawk.
  • Dumb Is Good: Not exactly the smartest of Coal's squad but he's one of the nicer ones. Well, so long as you're part of his group or Coal himself.
  • Expy: By Word of God, Demo is based off, and got his name from, Demolisher from Transformers: Energon and Transformers: Armada.
  • Glasgow Grin: Sports one constantly as a Fugamon.
  • Long-Range Fighter: Every single one of his techniques is a ranged attack.
  • Oni: His digivolution into Fugamon classifies him as one, just like Hyougamon and Ogremon.
  • Our Goblins Are Different
  • Palette Swap: His Rookie form (Shamanmon) is the equivalent of this to Goblimon. As is his Champion form.
  • Past-Life Memories: Sadly because of the method of his death Demo will never remember his from before he got killed by the radish base barrier.
  • Pet the Dog: Along with Snow, he stepped up to defend Rain's honor from a group of Toucanmon who were insulting her.
  • Power-Upgrading Deformation: Just like Snow and Gob-Gob, his digivolution, while giving him more power, isn't going to be winning any beauty pageants any time soon.
  • Undying Loyalty: Sticks to Coal like glue and, for his loyalty, has been promoted to being Coal's second in command.
  • Yes-Man: One of his major flaws, as he seems to be unable or unwilling to question his superior officer on their decisions.

     Raijin

Musyamon - The Conqueror

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/musyamon_b.jpg
  • Absurd Cutting Power: So long as Musyamon is strong enough, his sword can easily cut through steel, solid rock and anything else a weaker Digimon could potentially be made out of. At this point he can one shot most Rookies, however he'll only get better at it as time goes on and gets stronger.
  • BFS: Musyamons sword is larger than just about any Rookie-level Digimon, about 2/3rds his height. That said, it still pales in comparison to Coals Berserk Sword it pales in comparison.
  • Code of Honour: This champion has a code of honor when it comes to fighting and his allegiance. He kept his words to Coal, and became his subordinate after losing the duel. That said his concept of honor is something that could potentially become an issue while he's under Coal's leadership.
  • Cool Sword: Musyamon's weapon (aside from being a katana) has golden characters on the side of the blade, and a neat woven red handle covering the hilt.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: He ends up on both sides of this, as he easily hands one out to Scorch and Murugu but ends up losing his later fight to Coal in only one hit. Luckily for him, it was a non-lethal fight.
  • Everything's Better with Samurai: Until that point, there'd been very little seen of Samurai based digimon aside from Kotemon. Plus presence here acts as quite a boon to Coals squad as his fighting power, and speed makes it much more efficient in the long run.
  • Expy: It has been directly stated that this digimon is a rather direct expy of Starscream. Thankfully the players got a choice as to which Starscream he was based on, and the version in this case was Starscream from Armada.
  • Flaming Sword: Musyamon has the ability to cause his sword to ignite for particularly-tough enemies. Very useful for fighting Nature type digimon.
  • Goal in Life: To conquer every domain on File Island and, sequentially, the island itself. Thankfully he lucked out when meeting bigger fish, running into Coal before something like a Demon lord that probably have just kiled him.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Went from a constant thorn in Scorch and Murugu's side to being on their side through his defeat by Coal's hands. Though this is only because of his code of honor.
  • Kenjutsu: A firm practitioner of this, and is very, very skilled considering how he managed to take on both Scorch (A strong champion) and Murugu (A rookie with stats similar to that of a champion) at once.
  • Lightning Bruiser: His attack and speed are his two greatest stats, with his defenses still being pretty solid for a Champion-level Digimon.
  • Might Makes Right: He's a firm believer in the strongest person around being the one in charge. After a quick fight, he now follows Coal, and by extension Sovrano.
  • One-Handed Zweihänder: He's easily able to swing his two-handed sword around like it's weightless with one hand. It gives credence to his high strength and martial skill.
  • Samurai: Musyamon are rather direct expy's of samurai what with the similar armor, weapon, and sense of Honor/Bushido. This particular champion is a good example even among the species.
  • Shout-Out: To transformers, most notably Starscream.
  • Status Effects: One of his previous abilities was his sword acting to potentially paralyze foes upon contact. Sadly this was removed along with his data instability.
  • Sword Pointing: Fond of doing this, especially when he's challenging someone to a duel.
  • Teleport Spam: Musyamon had this ability before his data was fixed, and had no issue with doing this to great effect in his fight with Scorch and Murugu.
  • The Dragon: Wishes to be this when it comes to Coal, although his way of going about it, fighting Demo, was denied to him. It has been said that he'll have to prove himself as a soldier first, and work his way up the normal way.
  • The Leader: Of a sort, as he's introduced leading a group of Goblimon, although he's certainly not the leader when it comes to Coal's troops.
  • The Starscream: Musyamon was set up to be this trope, and technically still is. The mon is very ambitious, though it's thankfully more along the lines of the Armada version rather than the treacherous G1.
  • What Could Have Been: By Word of God, he's what Coal could have been if he focused on conquering domains instead of following Sovrano.

  • Accessory-Wearing Cartoon Animal: He's got a neat-looking headband and two wristbands on him, all of them following his red/fire motif.
  • Arranged Marriage: Has one to Ursula and will be wed as soon as she reaches ultimate.
  • Badass Adorable: He's ridiculously-strong for a Rookie and looks like an orange, humanoid lion.
  • Badass in Distress: You definitely qualify for this when, while you're a hilariously-strong Rookie, you fall right over the edge of Freeze Ravine.
  • Bash Brothers: He forms this with Smoke, the two of them fighting together easily and accepting each other like brothers.
  • Best Friend: He and Smoke are each other's best friend.
  • Cats Are Snarkers: Born of a species that are based on lions and not afraid to throw out a smarmy comment or two if the mood fits, Char definitely qualifies.
  • Combat Medic: His Refreshing Roar technique, gained by digivolving into Flaremon, can be used to either to heal or attack.
  • Cool Sword: Had one as an ultimate but lost them and now has a singular more powerful sword called Fenrir made from the data of coal's Fenrir armor.
  • Elemental Punch: Has one in the form of his fire-based Corona Knuckle technique.
  • Foe-Tossing Charge: His Flame Dive technique as a Firamon is one that's conducted while Wreathed in Flames
  • Four-Star Badass: He is a mega level digimon with the rank of grand rook in the gluttony army; basically a high ranking general.
  • Kill It with Fire: His main method of dealing with foes, seeing as he's a Fire-type Digimon.
  • Make Me Wanna Shout: His Refreshing Roar attack is essentially, well, a gigantically-loud roar.
  • One-Way Visor: Has one of these that lets him see but not let others see his eyes.
  • Panthera Awesome: His species' motif is a mixture of the sun/fire and big cats like a lion. It only becomes clearer when he digivolves into Firamon, which is essentially a winged lion, and Flaremon who's nothing more then a bipedal, armor-wearing lion.
  • Playing with Fire: Just about all of his attacks have to do with fire in one way or another, be it covering his fist to give his punches a little more heat to them or otherwise.
  • Doppelganger Spin: He gained the ability to do both of these when he digivolved into Flaremon through his Crimson Lion Dance.
  • Series Mascot: His species in general could be considered this for Digimon World Dawn/Dusk.
  • Shock and Awe: Now that he's a Valkyrimon he has a Thunder element which allows for electric based techniques.
  • Stalker without a Crush: He was initially this towards Smoke and his family, as he followed them home after they left Toy Town and, due to his good relationship with Smoke, was allowed to join Coal's forces.
  • Taking the Bullet: A nonlethal version of this is done by him, as he jumps in-between an attack meant for Sakura, much to her displeasure.
  • Weaponized Headgear: Can supposedly shoot fire out of the headband he wears.
  • Wreathed in Flames: He can do this to himself naturally and it's even used as an attack in the form of his Petite Prominence technique. His new technique that he got when he digivolved into Firamon called Flame Dive also combines this with a Foe-Tossing Charge.

     Gol

Gol - Mindless Protector

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/golemon_b.jpg
  • Breath Weapon: His "Curse Crimson" technique is one of these in the form of a blast of hot gas.
  • Dishing Out Dirt: Golemon, being an Earth-type Digimon, has a natural affinity for using these kind of attacks. Unlike the majority of Earth-type Digimon, however, Golemon in general rely more on their gigantic size and massive weight to fend off opponents than manipulating the earth itself.
  • Empty Shell: Due to his origins, Gol doesn't really have any personality, motives or feelings in general. All he knows, does and cares about is following his superior's orders, whether that superior is Coal or Arukenimon doesn't seem to matter to him.
  • Golem: It's basically what he was designed after, being a Golemon, and Gol in particular is closer to this than normal, seeing as, due to his origins as a soulless Digimon created by Arukenimon, he's unable to do anything but follow orders.
  • Mighty Roar: It's Gol's only method of communicating at all and, due to Gol's sheer size, it's rather loud and intimidating for anyone who's not expecting it.
  • Protectorate: Gol was given as a gift to Coal by Mummymon to generally be a sort of attack dog for his family and as an addition to his troops. It wouldn't be a lie to say that, for now, Gol's sole purpose in life is to protect Coal and his family.
  • Rock Monster: He's a gigantic, humanoid monster made out of rock that's held together by the string and cloth that can be seen covering his hands and coming out of his every joint.
  • Smash Mook: Lacking any kind of intelligence outside of raw animal intelligence, Gol's first and only method of fighting is to crush the enemy by using his gigantic size, which is even larger than the already-massive Golemon.

Scorch - Brutal Force Commander

The Lone Survivor turned Tyrant
Click here to see Waru Seadramon

  • Adaptational Wimp: Not officially confirmed but it is hinted that Scorch is the reincarnation of Metalseadramon, one of the Dark Masters
  • Anti-Air: His Wing Buster attack works especially well when he's hitting a flying enemy with it. It's specifically meant to bring down Bird Digimon in particular.
  • Arm Cannon: Has one as his left hand.
  • Bad Boss: Has no problem with killing and, in the case of his Biyomon followers, eating his underlings if they don't do their jobs.
  • Giant Enemy Crab: Naturally, as a Crabmon.
  • Battle Couple: Forms one with his lover, Murugu. They rarely fight alone, if at all.
  • Giant Flyer: Is capable of flying and large enough for a knightmon ride on him.
  • Hook Hand: Has one as his right hand.
  • Hot Skitty-on-Wailord Action: Between him and his lover, he forms the Wailord half of this trope, seeing as he's utterly gigantic as a Waru Seadramon compared to the much smaller Murugu who's an Airdramon. It also doesn't help that the former is a horned sea-snake while the latter is a more reptilian-like dragon.
  • Irony: Scorch likes the taste of roasted Biyomon while his lover Murugu is a Biyomon herself. He is well aware of this and takes amusement from it.
  • Kill It with Water: Scorch can easily crush his enemies with a good Water Pillar or two.
  • Making a Splash: Naturally has an affinity for this as a Water-element Digimon.
  • Official Couple: With Murugu.
  • Pirate: As Hookmon Scorch is basically this with Murugu to perfectly complete the look.
  • Pragmatic Villainy: Scorch successfully set up SCSI Domain as a small sanctuary for Digimon to settle down away from the danger of the wilderness. In return they will have to make ends meet by gathering food for the Domain or become dinner. This helps a Champion Digimon such as Scorch to live comfortably in Native Forest without the risk of starving.
  • Power Pincers: Naturally had these as a Crabmon, especially his left claw.
  • Right Hand of Doom: His right claw was much larger than the other as a Crabmon and his right hand as a Hookmon is a nasty-looking hook.
  • Scars Are Forever: Scorch was in defense of SCSI Domain against Greymon rampaging through it. The attack left his skin scorched hence his namesake.
  • Sea Monster: Firmly falls under this banner as a Waru Seadramon
  • Shock and Awe: As a Waru Seadramon, he can electrify his horn to attack people with.
  • Shout-Out: Hookmon in general are one to Moby-Dick, what with their pursuit of a supposed white Whamon.
  • Signed Up for the Dental: Coal secured Scorch's and various other Digimon's loyalty by trading the good they need or doing them favor.
  • Snakes Are Sinister: His evolution into Waru Seadramon, essentially a giant, horned sea-snake, hasn't improved his temperament or cutthroat tendencies.
  • Sole Survivor: Out of the mentioned Digimon only Scorch managed to survive.
  • Stone Wall: Could temporarily make himself one as a Crabmon through the Defend technique.

     Murugu

Murugu - Quartermaster

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/muguru.png
Suspected to suffer from Stockholm Syndrome

  • Abduction Is Love: Murugu was captured by Coal as an apology gift to Rain after his month-long self-exile. She is then held captive by Scorch and willingly became his lover.
  • Accessory-Wearing Cartoon Animal: Like all Biyomon, Murugu has an odd, metal ring latched onto her left leg.
  • Action Mom: She leads an entire devision of a demon lord army and is a mother of two children.
  • A Match Made in Stockholm: Despite their unusual meeting with Scorch being the warden and Murugu being the prisoner, they got along so well that they mutually entered a relationship.
  • Badass Adorable: She's just as vicious as her lover when it comes to their minions while still being a child-sized pink bird. She kind of loses the adorable bit when she digivolves into the more fiercer-looking Airdramon.
  • Beak Attack: She certainly isn't afraid of pecking her enemies if she needs to, nor of aiming at weak points if it helps her win.
  • Bird People: She's got a humanoid form like all Biyomon but, aside from that, she's all avian, complete with beak, talons and wings.
  • Blow You Away: Naturally, seeing as she's one of the many bird-like Digimon. Her digivolution into Airdramon only increased the number of ways she can pull this off.
  • Breath Weapon: As Airdramon, she can breathe fiery whirlwinds through her God Breath technique.
  • Bystander Syndrome: Murugu is perfectly chill with Scorch killing and eating her fellow Biyomon.
  • Carnivore Confusion / I'm a Humanitarian: Murugu is a fully-sentient bird, specifically a Biyomon, that just so happens to share her lover's tastes when it comes to freshly-cooked Biyomon.
  • Feather Fingers: Deconstructed; while Murugu has hands on her wings, it doesn't actually help her, or any Biyomon, at all when it comes to flying.
  • Four-Star Badass: Is the Leader of the gluttony army aerial forces.
  • Girl Friday: Murugu and Scorch compliment each other to maintain the Sanctuary of SCSI Domain with Scorch providing the brawl and security against intruders while Murugu assists him by being the secretary and looks after logistic things.
  • Glass Cannon: She's ridiculously fast and hard-hitting, although her health and defense leave much to be desired.
  • Hot Skitty-on-Wailord Action: Between her and her lover, she's the Skitty half of this tropes, as she's much smaller as an Airdramon than the colossal Waru Seadramon that is Scorch.
  • Just in Time: While guarding the entrance to chrome mine from the enemy she and scorch swoop in and save coal and his troops killing dozens of digimon that could have been another nail in the coffin for them.
  • Little Miss Badass: Just because she's on the short side of things doesn't stop her from ruling over an entire domain with her lover, Scorch. It's also rather telling that, whenever Scorch's ruthlessness has been brought up, it's never been stated that Murugu is any better.
  • Man Bites Man: Has an attack called Big Jaw as an Airdramon.
  • Our Dragons Are Different: Airdramon resembles a Chinese dragon more then anything, lacking any limbs outside of its wings.
  • Pirate Parrot: Murugu actually takes this role with her lover, Scorch, as the pirate. She doesn't seem to mind this role in the least, or at least has never complained about the arrangement.
  • Playing with Fire: Her main attacks are all fire-based
  • Polly Wants a Microphone: Murugu is a Biyomon, or a gigantic pink bird, and is more then able to speak her mind on any subject she wants to.
  • Razor Wind: She can send out blades made entirely out of the air itself through her Wing Cutter technique, another attack gotten through her digivolving into Airdramon.
  • Shaping Your Attacks: Her Spiral Twister technique can be controlled to come out in different patterns, most oftenly in a helix-like formation.
  • Tail Slap: As an Airdramon, her long, sinous tail can easily be used as a bludgeoning weapon.
  • Tertiary Sexual Characteristics: She's completely pink, has jewelry in the form of the metallic band on her leg and her feathers form a make-shift hairdo.
  • Tornado Move: Her Spiral Wing technique allows her to pull this off.

     Sal
A traditional mafia-styled leader who once worked with the Light before joining Daemon's army. When Sovrano's forces were forming he was one of the Digimon allowed to form the backbone of it. Is believed to be the father of Marlo and Byakko, and works in the Casino City where Barbamon's forces are to handle the Gluttony side of things there.

Lilithmon's Army

     Violet

Violet - The Colonel

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ladydevimon_b.jpg
  • Asskicking Leads to Leadership: She is a colonel in a demon lord army enough said.
  • Badass Family: Just like all the others at Paradise Violet is this with her husband snowball and all her children.
  • Blood Knight: She the kind of gal who loves battle wether it be a fight to test worthiness or an active war zone.
  • Brainless Beauty: While being powerful and beautiful Colonel Violet intelligence growth isn't that good.
  • Casting a Shadow: As a LadyDevimon colonel violet is capable of manipulating darkness for her attacks.
  • Colonel Badass: She posses the rank of colonel and has been one of Lilithmon best soldiers for years now.
  • Defeat Means Friendship: While their battle was a draw violet warmed up to coal afterwards and even eventually became friends with rain.
  • Fallen Angel: Violet belongs to devimon family so she qualifies as a fallen angel digimon and has the appearance to back it up.
  • Handicapped Badass: Having just recently given birth and still nursing Colonel violet challenged coal to a fight and was able to easily equal his strength.
  • Hellbent For Leather: Her clothing consist entirely of a one piece leather outfit with chains wrapped around her.
  • An Ice Person: She's currently this after constant data infusions from her icedevimon husband.
  • Married to the Job: Colonel Violet spent the majority of her life dedicated to becoming stronger and serving Lilithmon. This has had the side effect of making her not very popular and even strained her relationship with her close friend snowball.
  • Oblivious to Love: Was this before lilithmon pulled a few strings and got her with her childhood friend snowball.
  • One True Love: Snowball her life long friend and only recent love of her life. Until some interference from lilithmon Violet was unaware of both snowball's and her own feelings for each other.
  • Strength Equals Worthiness: Like many other digimon this is shown when she challenges coal to a duel to see if he was worthy of having her children serve under him.
  • Stripperiffic: As expected of a LadyDevimon.
  • Super Breeding Program: Like many others in paradise under order of Lilithmon to create an army of data fusion digimon army to defeat the other factions the demon lord opposes.
  • The Family That Slays Together: She seems vary adament in teaching her children how to fight and its shown when she showed up with her husband and rookie level child tabatha to an ACTIVE WAR ZONE!
  • Workaholic: she spent untold amount of time as an officer of lilithmon and had dedicated all her time to getting stronger and her duties.
  • You Can Barely Stand: After fighting in chrome mime she fought until she was hurt and exhausted to the point she could barely keep her eyes open.

     Snowball
Violet's husband and former second-in-command.

     Pixie
One of Lilithmon's more powerful LadyDevimon. Married to Big Blue.

     Big Blue
Pixie's husband and a general in Lilithmon's army. While he is a Craniamon, he is not *the* Craniamon despite being a formidable soldier all the same.

     Arukenimon

Arukenimon - Cold Overseer

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arukenimon_human_t.gif
Click here to see her Digimon form
  • Action Mom: She could potentially be one for Coal.
  • Adaptational Badass: Seeing as she and Mummymon are the same ones from Digimon Adventure 02, they're treated with much more respect than they were in the show.
  • Badbutt: Thoroughly averted, as the quest fully shows how powerful she really is a lot better than the show did.
  • Breath Weapon: Can do this in the form of her Acid Mist technique.
  • Child Hater: Played with, as she doesn't seem to hold back her normally vicious and cold personality when it comes to dealing with children.
  • The Consigliere: She's one of Lilithmon's most trusted advisers and has been around long enough to easily turn a decently-strong Ultimate like Coal into mincemeat if she wanted to.
  • Cool Car: She can usually be seen being driven around in one of these by Mummymon.
  • Cool Shades: Her human form can usually be seen wearing a pair of these at all times. If you see her take them off, it's probably not gonna be a good experience for whoever made her angry enough to do so...
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: She was eaten alive shortly after Malomyotismons revival.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Despite her cold demeanor, Arukenimon can usually be seen in Mummymon's company. Whether that's because they are constantly forced to work together or for another reason entirely is left vague. Of course, then there's Black War Greymon...
  • Expy: She's the same Arukenimon that showed up in Digimon Adventure 02.
  • Extra Eyes: In her Digimon form, she has around six of them on her abdomen.
  • Friend to Bugs: The only troops she's been seen leading so far are the spider-based Dokugumon.
  • Giant Spider: She's basically a Half-Human Hybrid of a spider and a human. It doesn't stop her from being rather large.
  • Half-Human Hybrid: They were originally created through a mixture of data and human DNA.
  • Ice Queen: The only emotion that really tends to show up when one deals with her is a varying level of anger or annoyance. It's why it's so telling when she displays a small moment of somberness when the subject of Black War Greymon is brought up.
  • Killed Off for Real: Malomyotismon tricked the main cast into reviving him, and after a short fight with the villain protagonist he moved on to Arukenimon. One brief torture session later he promptly ate her.
  • Mook Maker: Used to be one, as she used to make Digimon out of a combination of her own hair and Control Spires.
  • Mystical White Hair: Part of the process of making a soulless Digimon.
  • Our Centaurs Are Different: She's a vaguely-humanoid torso on top of a spider's abdomen.
  • Razor Floss: Her threads are easily able to slice right through other Digimon like a hot knife through butter.
  • Ship Tease: There's a bit of it in the quest between her and Mummymon.
  • Spider People
  • Spiders Are Scary: You better believe it.
  • Red Baron: Arukenimon in general are known as the Queen of Spiders due to their ruling over Dokugumon.
  • The Reveal: Along with Coal finding out that she's actually a Digimon, she inadvertently helps Coal realize that he could potentially be the reincarnation of Black War Greymon.
  • Villains Out Shopping: Despite being leagues above him in strength and position within Lilithmon's army, one of the pictures Coal sees in Mummymon's room is simply capturing a small moment where Mummymon and Arukenimon were sleeping peacefully together under the shade of a tree.

     Mummymon

Mummymon - Friendly Overseer

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mummymon_human_t.gif
Click here to see his Digimon form
  • Affably Evil: Despite working for a demon lord, Mummymon is actually one of the "Nicer" digimon out there. Oh sure he's certainly evil, but his personality is actually rather goofy, and he certainly loves his family.
  • BFG: Mummymon's main weapon, The Obelisk rifle packs an incredible punch, so much so that it hits much like an artillery piece. In Game we've seen the weapon one shot a group of Ultimate level digimon, so it must pack an incredible punch.
  • Bear Hug: Mummymon seems to enjoy giving these to Coal whenever the two meet again. Considering their supposed relations it makes perfect sense.
  • Cool Car: In the digital world he has one of the only actual cars, thus making it cool by rarity if nothing else.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: He was melted down ( though it was thankfully over a short period of time) by Malomyotismons acid attack.
  • Cyclops: Mummymon seems to be missing an eye. From the looks of thing he was created this way so it doesn't seem to impair him at all. Neither his disguised form, nor his real form change this.
  • Evil Cripple: Mummymon is not a very mobile digimon, and the character himself often uses a car to get around. His disguised form uses a cane to help move around, while his true form has a mixture of leg braces and his gun doubling as a crutch. That said he's still one of the most powerful Ultimates alive and is not be underestimated.
  • Friendly Sniper: Mummymon is very friendly, upbeat and generally a great guy! He's also toting a big long ranged rifle that can one shot groups of Ultimates. Thankfully he's on the Villain Protagonists side.
  • Imperial Stormtrooper Marksmanship Academy: Averted. Mummymon is a great shot with his gun when he actually aims, and avoiding his big blasts is a very hard thing to accomplish.
  • Improbable Use of a Weapon: Mummymon's main weapon is a large, and very powerful rifle that often acts more akin to a cannon in the sheet amount of damage it can put out. That said, it also doubles as a crutch to help him move along because his legs aren't exactly in the best shape.
  • Killed Off for Real: Malomyotismon tricked the main cast into reviving him. Shortly afterwords the villain scooped up Arukenimon. After she was killed, Mummyon attacked him in a fit of rage, but unlike in canon actually managed to wound him with his gun.
  • Lean and Mean: Mummymon has a very wiry, lanky build, probably because he is based on mummies which are famously thin. That said he still has a great deal of power, and is someone that most mega level digimon wouldn't want to deal with.
  • Mummy Wrap: Used liberally with his design. Considering how his name is literally Mummymon, it makes sense.
  • Papa Wolf: Mummymon is rather old as far as digimon, go, and certainly has the power to go along with this trope. But more than that recently he has gained a number of grandchildren which solidifies his position here.
  • Paper Master: Mummymon can make use of his bandages this way, as one of his primary attacks involves snaking them around an opponent using "Snake Bandage".
  • The Noseless: Mummymon lacks an actual nose, though this is once again because of his character design. Whether he still possess a sense of smell is unknown.
