Mad Ingram/Wesley Cutter

The protagonist of the game. In this continuity, he is the first nano-augmented UNATCO agent. Ingram is dispatched to Hong Kong to solve a terrorism case, only realize that there's much more at stake going on...

  • Badass Longcoat
  • Bio-Augmentation
  • Deadpan Snarker
  • Fake Memories: Turns out that the original Wesley Cutter died 10 years prior, in 2039, and his body was to be donated for scientific purposes. So MJ12 used his DNA as a cloning template for "Project Mad Ingram" and gave him some of the memories from the original Wesley Cutter. He claims he's 26 years old, but in reality, he's only 6 months old.
  • One-Man Army: Ingram rarely has back-up and pretty much always has to deal with situations on his own.
  • Sunglasses at Night: He wears them just like JC in the original.
  • The Hero Dies: In the Sacrifice Ending.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Ham sandwiches, although the closest you get to them in game is hamburgers. One scene where he is under alot of stress has him refer to them like if they were alcoholic drinks.
  • UST: In the MJ12 ending, it is implied he had this with Lana.

Lana Zavich

A fellow UNATCO agent to Mad Ingram who is already working with the MPS when he arrives.

  • Expy: To both Alex Jacobsen and Jock from the original game. She updates his infolink and hacks through security systems, but also doubles as a helicopter pilot.
  • Hackette: Subverted. It's known that she's a girl from the beginning, but she still helps you out by working through the city's security systems and giving you floor plan layouts to aid your hacking during the Disc-One Final Boss sequence.
  • Mission Control: She serves as this for the first act of the game.
  • The Mole: She appears to be working for UNATCO, but is actually with the Illuminati.

Number One

A high-ranking, German UNATCO agent who serves as Mad Ingram's handler in Act II.

  • Big Bad Ensemble: With Alexia Novikova.
  • Code Name: He tells Ingram that he would need a very high clearance level to learn his actual name. In an effort to appeal to Mad Ingram, Number One claims that Ingram is actually his (i.e. Number One's) real last name.
  • Mission Control: He serves as this for much of Act II, and even helps Ingram escape from the XVA airplane. He also gives the player their objectives while in Berlin.
  • Number One: His name is misleading. Within the MJ12 organization, he's actually #3 behind Bob Page and Walton Simons.

Lien Takara

An elite MPS agent who assists you in your investigation during the Hong Kong stage.

  • Dragon Lady
  • Expy: To Anne Navarre, in a way. She doesn't want to go in guns blazing and kill everything, but she is a strong-willed female agent of the MPS, while Navarre was UNATCO. Like Navarre, she's in on The Conspiracy.
  • Femme Fatale: Sort of. She doesn't try to seduce Ingram or anything, but is certainly deadly.

David Yoon

A high-level member of the Luminous Path triad and owner of the Forichi Night Club in Kowloon.

  • Black-and-Grey Morality: At the beginning of the game, he assists you in your investigation, but is still a member of the Luminous Path triad. He's also involved with the XVA Corporation, but reveals that their intentions are good and he only wants Ingram's augmentations to help save his son.
  • Coolest Club Ever: His nightclub, Forichi, definetely counts as this, done in a cool Deus Ex: Human Revolution black-and-gold style. Also a Bad Guy Bar, since he uses it as a front for the Luminous Path.
  • Disc-One Final Boss: Not so much a boss, but a puzzle sequence. Also, this occurs at the end of Act I.
  • Good All Along: Not exactly good, more like Not Evil All Along. He actually isn't working with MJ12, and has ties with XVA, who were still try to kill you. However, he's really just doing everything to get the necessary nanotech in order to save his comatose son.
  • The Mole: He is this for the Luminous path, secretly working with XVA. However, he's not part of The Conspiracy.
  • The Triads and the Tongs: He's a member of the Luminous Path. However, he's actually working with the XVA Corporation.

Alexia Novikova

The CEO of the Russian-based XVA Corporation.

  • Big Bad Ensemble: With Number One.
  • Corrupt Corporate Executive: Zig-Zagged. Initially appears to be this, but she claims to be actually working against the Majestic 12 conspiracy, which is true, but she is later revealed to be evil in her own right.
  • MegaCorp: She's the CEO of one.
  • Moral Event Horizon: She doesn't appear to be that evil until she gets corrupted by power and wants to take on Majestic 12. She starts pursuing Ingram and goes to far when she causes the death of everyone in Stafford's base (including him) by exposing them all to the virus.

Robert Chen

The director of the Chinese Ministry of Public Security (MPS).
