    Mike Nnemonic

Mike Nnemonic

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mike_50.png

One of the four main protagonists of Crashocalypse. He's the owner of a settlement and has been known to have people hang out while he does whatever. One day the RUC managed to destroy his shack and entire Settlement and for most of the game, was either deemed missing or dead by everyone. He's later shown to be alive and cornered by the remaining RUC forces until the other rebels come to rescue him.

Tropes:

  • A Hero to His Hometown: More like 'Popular in his Settlement'. Those who are friends with Mike or live in his Settlement either gush over him or at the very least, have some sense of respect to him. Everywhere else in the Natto Peninsula? Nobody knows who he is or don't see why the RUC is obsessed with him.
  • Aloof Ally: There isn't much for Mike to care about, even when he is practically dragged into the conflict due to the RUC's obsession with him and his community. This results in him dozing off during important segments or in one case Stare right into a gun that would have disintegrated him if it wasn't for the fact that Peter held the gun backwards.
  • Badass Normal: Unlike everyone else, he doesn't have any war skill or magical powers but he's able to fight back when he does get serious, albeit he tosses missiles at his opponents.
  • Berserk Button: Do not lay a finger on those he deeply cares about. When Cocaine was killed by Popeye Briefly this caused Mike to snap and attack Jafar without any assistance and took him down.
  • Character Development: Surprisingly, he shows a little bit of this during his chapter. At first he wanted out of the Natto Peninsule and refused to help people, leaving the party to do the work for him. Near the end of the game, when talking to Don, he admits he feels like he has to be the leader for the Resistance, implying he has opened up to the idea of being a leader, if only because he has no choice.
  • The Dreaded: Parodied. The Radioactive Uber Clan has been constantly hyping Mike up to be this "Reality destroying, shapeshifting demon that can destroy entire multiverses" and random RU Citizens and RUC soldiers are terrified of him. In truth, he's just some aloof Truck Driver who doesn't even care about this.
  • Fantastically Indifferent: It doesn't matter if he's in a world where there's magic and monsters, strange people who exist, or a bunch of Knight Templar Cartoon characters forming an army and trying to have his head, Mike doesn't care what goes on around him.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He may be seen as lazy and uncaring about the situation but there are moments where he does show genuine concern over certain people. He's still willing to help the peninsula, but he does require convincing or being dragged around to do so.
  • Lack of Empathy: With a few exceptions(Cocaine, Hatter, Glack, etc) he doesn't seem all too concerned about everything going on around the world. It gets to the point that the only reason he joins in is to make sure he can finally get some time to relax.
  • Magikarp Power: Mike has a fairly limiting skillset during the start of his scenario but when the player recruits more Stream characters, he ends up becoming a bit of a versatile party member.
  • Mechanically Unusual Fighter: While everyone else in the game gain new moves by leveling up, he gets more skills by recruiting Stream characters into the Army to summon during battle.
  • Politically Incorrect Hero: Downplayed. While he isn't racist or like the RUC, Mike is not afraid to make some more edgier jokes. This does make people raise some eyebrows, though.
  • Summon Magic: Can summon various stream or in-joke characters to fight on his side, provided you recruited them.
  • Unfazed Everyman: It may be due to him being born in Natto or just doesn't care but he is unfazed and uncaring about a majority of the people and events in the game. it's implied that this mentality is why he had so many people in his settlement to begin with.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: Seems to hold this relationship with a fair chunk of his followers, including Steve. He may joke about Steve's communism but still hangs out with him. He isn't like this to everyone. When it comes to Hatter, Cocaine, Glack, and Bern, he is overall friendly to them.

    Soviet Steve

Soviet Steve

One of the four main characters in Crashocalypse. A communist man who is a regular at Mike's community who is obsessed with the work of Joseph Stalin and sex puns. He's the protagonist of his own scenario, where he has to stop Felix the Cat and the RUC from enslaving the peninsula.

Tropes:

  • Boisterous Bruiser: He is a hard hitting, jolly member of Mike's community.
  • Chummy Commies: He will let you know he is in fact, a communist and is proud of it. And he's one of the people fighting against the RUC to boot!
  • Genius Bruiser: He may be a bit of an oddball, but he both hits hard and understands the situation at hand, making him very reliable during the war.
  • Magically Inept Fighter: While the other three heroes have magic potential, Steve is the one with the least amount of actual magic.
  • Mighty Glacier: He is very hard hitting and can take a lot of damage but he is among one of the slowest characters in the entire game.

    Bern

Bern

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bern.PNG

One of the four main characters in Crashocalypse. She is a witch and a notable member of Mike's settlement. During the RUC's invasion at Mike's Settlement, Albert managed to capture her, which leads to her scenario. She eventually escapes and unwillingly becomes a leader to fight the RUC.

Tropes:

  • All of the Other Reindeer: Not evident to the entire group as a whole but to the generic followers of Mike, they insist on killing Bern to stop the RUC from going after him. These generic followers don't seem to trust Bern all that much. Naturally, Mike disagrees.
  • Cute Witch: A witch who fights the Radioactive Uber Clan and isn't that bad looking.
  • The Dark Arts: Uses dark magic throughout the game.
  • In Name Only: Despite her name and her appearance in the game being based off The Witch of Miracles, Bernkastel, she is (thankfully) not like her at all. Her entire design in this game is in reference to how the real Bern from Mike Nnemonic's community used her as an avatar and apparently was named "Bern" by people due to how often she used her as an avatar on sites.
  • Only Sane Man: Compared to Mike, Steve, and Glack, Bern is relatively sane, if a bit cynical.
  • Sinister Scythe: She is the main scythe user of the group.
  • Squishy Wizard: Has one of the highest magic potential in the entire game at the cost of very low health and mediocre defenses.
  • Trans Tribulations: Only the Radioactive Uber Clan seems to make a big deal over this but she is in fact transgender. This ends up being a minor plot point in how Albert got kicked out of Mike's shack due to him being hateful and thus, has the RUC go after Mike's community as a whole
  • You Are in Command Now: Was forced to become Hugo's replacement when he was dying by getting the shortest straw. She refused at first but later on, grows to accept the role as a leader.

    Glackenburgen

Glackenburgen

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/glack.PNG

One of the four main characters in Crashocalypse. He is a member of Mike's Settlement but also the founder of the Cornpop Religion. He was not present during the RUC's invasion and only found out what happened when Odyro came to warn him about the Radioactive Uber Clan. Unfortunately, Jabberjaw destroyed his church, which prompts Glack to take a stand against the RUC.

Tropes:

  • Beware the Silly Ones: He may be the most oddball out of the main four scenario protagonists but he has been known to kick a lot of ass.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: Even by the standards of everyone else in the peninsula, Glack is a bit of an oddball, living in his own Cornpop filled world.
  • Cult: His Cornpop Religion is basically this.
  • Jack of All Stats: Has a decent stat pool all around with no glaring strengths or weaknesses. he even has a fair balance of offense and support.
  • Morality Pet: Quite literally has one in Wolf Pal. When Wolf Pal sacrifices his life for Glack, he goes berserk.
  • Non-Standard Character Design: While everyone elses portraits were drawn by Reese, his face is the real Glacks avatar.
  • Out of Focus: Compared to Bern or Steve, Glack gets the least amount of screentime in Mike's scenario.
