- Chivalrous Pervert: He keeps a Porn Stash at home and snoops on attractive ladies of the neighborhood with his sniper rifle's scope. And he's the hero of the story.
- Cultured Badass: The Mozart album we hear in Ryo's place early in the movie can be heard again, blasting in Ryo's headphones when he goes into ice-cold killing machine mode.

- Hidden Depths: He's seen pulling a particularly tricky inverted hang during his poledance. And when the Cupid's Perfume has affected Ryo so badly that he can't make himself take the antidote, Skippy just forces it on him. One could even say he was hero material himself.
- Shout-Out: His name is from a comedy skit by Les Inconnus, which has a sect's guru named Skippy as a pun with Skippy the Bush Kangaroo.
- Unlucky Everydude: Getting wrapped up in this business, purely by accident. And even with the Cupid's Perfume on hand, the furthest he really gets with any woman is his mother-in-law.

- Hidden Depths: When Skippy gets cold feet leading into the final fight, it's Poncho of all people who delivers the Dare to Be Badass line. Unfortunately he's kneeling on a henchman's walkie-talkie at the time...
- Too Dumb to Live
- He mentions how he tried to dry off his pet hamster after a bath, using the microwave.
- After he's rejected by Kaori, he's Driven to Suicide and accepts his fate by lying in front of her car tyres. We zoom out and see that it's someone else's car.
