     Dandy 704

Dandy 704

Hailing from the 19th century, Dandy 704 is a steam-powered robot who was once human, in which his brain was mummified and placed into an internal vat. Very bold and ridiculous in nature, he tells many stories of his exploits which may or may not be true. His voice source comes from vocal synthesis generated by an IBM 704 back in the 1960s, famous for singing Daisy Bell.
  • Meaningful Name: The 704 at the end of his name is a reference to the IBM 704, the computer that was programmed by Bell Labs to sing Daisy Bell back in the 1960s, and ultimately his voice source.
  • Wetware CPU: This is how he managed to escape death. His body is mechanical, but his brain is human.

     Otto Mozer

Otto Mozer

A mad scientist with ambitions to take over the world, Otto Mozer is a once-human man whose head is encased in an exopod in order to further his goals for world domination. His voice is sampled from the TSI S14001A, most notably heard in the game Berzerk.
  • Evil Sounds Deep: His voice in chipspeech is very low and strong, and he's the evil guy in the chipgang.

     Lady Parsec

Lady Parsec

Lady Parsec is the dictator and queen of the chipverse, always watching her citizens and ruling over them. Her voice is sourced from a TI-99/4A plug-in speech synthesizer module that provides the voice in the game Parsec. In addition, she also has an HD version of her that uses high-quality samples from a voice actress.
  • Meaningful Name: Her name comes from the game Parsec, where her voice came from.

     Bert Gotrax

Bert Gotrax

Bert is a foul-mouthed, child-like android who escaped from his creators lab and into the city, becoming a parkour master and graffiti artist in the process. His voice is sampled from the Votrax SC-01 chip, most well known for its use in Q*bert.

     Dee Klatt

Dee Klatt

An android who is very skilled at disguise, Dee Klatt is an android who is on the run due to being falsely accused of a crime many years ago.
  • Ambiguous Gender: While they switch between masculine and feminine disguises often, it is implied that Dee may not have a gender at all. They also go by "they/them" pronouns.
  • Kindhearted Cat Lover: They really love cats, and they have a pet cat named Snowball.
  • Master of Disguise: Justified, as they are constantly on the run and have to change identities often to prevent being found out.
  • Meaningful Name: Their name is a reference to Dennis Klatt, the man whose work with speech synthesis led to the development of DECtalk.
  • Redemption in the Rain: After some encouragement from Vosim, Dee steps outside into the rain to enjoy it even though they are afraid of water.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: Dee is very afraid of water because they are electrical, and thus they freak out whenever they are caught in the rain, and even giving their cat water is a challenge for them. However, they are getting over this, starting with their Redemption in the Rain moment.

     Spencer AL 2

Spencer AL2

Spencer AL2 is an AI that is able to create his own appearance by his own will, and is self-aware of himself too. He loves to explode bombs and work under Lady Parsec. His voice comes from the SP0256-AL2 chip that was known to be found in the Intellivision's Intellivoice add-on.
  • Benevolent A.I.: Despite the fact that he is fascinated with bombs, he really is a good guy, and doesn't really seem interested in harming people.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: His anger has been known to be very explosive if he is upset. Luckily for us, he is a nice guy for the most part.

     Terminal 99

Terminal 99

Terminal 99 is a triangle-shaped computer that possesses a chat program created to win a Turing Test contest. Turns out, his developers and judges worship him as a god and he may have absorbed their souls into himself. His voice comes from a TI voice module that was known for being used in Terminal Emulator II.

     VOSIM

VOSIM

Vosim is a humanoid android that was once a prototype sociable android companion. After his project was scrapped, he wandered around a lot until he decided to try to make something of himself and gain some friends. His voice is based on the VOSIM model, giving him a synth-like voice.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Normally, Vosim is a very sweet, kindly android who wouldn't hurt anyone. However, when Dandy pissed him off badly...let's just say Dandy could've died had Daisy not intervened.
Vosim: YOU DO NOT CALL ME A FAKE! ((PUNCHES DANDY IN THE GUT))
  • I Just Want to Have Friends: One of Vosim's goals is to get friends.
  • Sharp-Dressed Man: His manner of dress suggests this, though he does look a little disheveled.
  • The Unintelligible: Even though his voice cannot be understood well, it doesn't stop him from trying to sing.

     Daisy Bell

Daisy Bell

Daisy is a time-traveling robot from the future, and Dandy's once lost love. She was mutilated by Otto in an attempt to steal her time-traveling device, but eventually came back. Notably, she is the only character who is not based off of a vintage synth, instead being sampled from a person known as Cien Miller, aka Crusher-P. Not only is she a vocal in the chipspeech software, she is also in Plogue's Alter/Ego software.
