Chilla Family

    As a whole
  • Accessory-Wearing Cartoon Animal: Chinny dons some fancy earrings (that become a plot point in "The Three Chillateers") and Charla has a cord made of beads that holds her ponytail in place.
  • Alliterative Family: Chip Chilla, Charla Chilla, Chubbly Chilla, Chinny Chilla and Chum Chum Chilla.
  • Barefoot Cartoon Animal: Chip and Charla wear shirts (and Charla also dons a green skirt), but no shoes. Chubbly, however, has feet coverings as part of his jumpsuit. Chum Chum also wears no shoes.
  • Cheerful Child: All three Chilla siblings are this, though Chip leans on the "bratty" side, Charla leans on the "responsible" side and Chubbly is one or the other.
  • Family Theme Naming: The father of the chinchilla family is called Chum Chum while his wife is called Chinny. Their children are Chip, Charla and Chubbly.
  • Good Parents: Chum Chum and Chinny care deeply about their children.
  • Graceful Ladies Like Purple: Chinny and Charla have purple fur.
  • Pink Girl, Blue Boy: Subverted. The male members of the family (Chum Chum, Chip, and Chubbly) are blue, while the female members of the family (Chinny and Charla) are purple.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: Chip and Chubbly have Chum Chum's fur and facial features, while Charla inherited Chinny's fur and long hair.
  • Tertiary Sexual Characteristics: Chinny has a fancy bowl cut and Charla has a short ponytail with a bead hair tie. They also have eyelashes. In contrast their male counterparts only have limited strands of Idiot Hair and no eyelashes.
