Rhyme McAdams
Played by: Jules LeBlanc. Season 1-6 (regular), Season 7 (recurring), Season 8-9 (guest)
- The Ace: with the expectation of the Dance Team storyline in season 1, Rhyme excels at everything she tries. Acting, Singing, Journalism, Creative Writing and Cheerleading.
- Childhood Friend Romance: Attempts one with T.K in season 3. It doesn't work out. Implied at the end of season 6 that they will try again.
- Dude Magnet: Gets a new love interest every season.
- End of an Era: During season 1, Rhyme feels like all of her friends are growing up and leaving her behind.
- Love Triangle: Is involved in one every season.
Harmony McAdams
Played by: Hayley LeBlanc. Chicken Girls: Season 1-9, Mani: Season 1-5
- Character Overlap: She is a regular in both Chicken Girls and Mani (for the first five seasons) and even had a guest appearance in Afterschooled.
- Child Prodigy: Had a successful career as a child actress: having had the lead role in Show Within a Show Hotel Du Loone and mentioned in Mani that she had filmed a horror movie over the summer.
- Dude Magnet: Just like her older sister, she has had many boys crushing on her.
- I Just Want to Have Friends: Her storyline in Mani season 5 and Chicken Girls season 7
- Took a Level in Jerkass: Her manipulation of Claire to get back at Bel.
- Wise Beyond Their Years: The early seasons have Harmony giving life and relationship advice to characters much older than her.
TK Kaye
Played by: Hayden Summerall. Season 1-2,6 (regular), Season 3,7-8 (recurring), Season 5-9 (guest)
- Camera Fiend: He's Establishing Character Moment is taking a polaroid photo of Rhyme on the first day of school. By season 2, he is into filmmaking and makes multiple amateur short films over the rest of the series.
- Childhood Friend Romance: Attempts one with Rhyme in season 3. It doesn't work out. Implied at the end of season 6 that they will try again.
- The Bus Came Back: Returns in season 6 after being absent for seasons 4 and 5
Ellie Mack
Played by: Brooke Elizabeth Butler
- Characterization Marches On: Is introduced as a quirky, boy-crazy preteen by season 6. Ellie is far more grounded and self-assured.
- Demoted to Extra: During season 7
- Dude Magnet: Not to the same extent as Rhyme, but she had her fair share of boyfriends over the series.
- Smitten Teenage Girl: Her defining character trait in the first season. As the majority of her scenes revolved around her crush on Henry and later Miles.
Quinn Forrester
Played by: Riley Lewis
- Sibling Triangle: Develops a crush on Hamilton, her sister's boyfriend, during season 3
- Weight Woe: during season 6, develops an eating disorder after not making it on to the cheerleading team
Rooney Forrester
Played by: Indiana Madssara
- Camera Fiend: As the photographer for the school paper, she is often seen taking photos.
- Character Overlap: Is a regular on Chicken Girls for the first six seasons. The lead in the mini-series Rooney's Last Roll. A main character in the short-lived Attaway Appeal and had guest appearances in Total Eclipse and Stuck''
- Cool Big Sis: To both her actual sister, Quinn and Rhyme.
- Sibling Triangle: Is involved in one during season 3 after Hamilton cheats on her with Quinn. She does not take it well.
Birdie Kaye
Played by: Madison Lewis
- Troubled Teen: Becomes this in season three when under the influence of her new boyfriend, Spike she starts to experiment with risky behaviour. As Chicken Girls is a G rated show, the troubling behaviour is skipping school, vandalism and getting a tattoo. It does escalate to Birdie running away and being involved in a severe car accident.
Luna
Played by: Aliyah Moulden
- Ascended Extra: Was upgraded from recurring to the main cast.
- Defrosting Ice Queen: Is introduced as the Alpha Bitch but slowly warms up to Chicken Girls and by season 3 is considered a close friend.
Flash
Played by: Rush Holland
Kayla Sharpe
Played by: Dylan Conrique
- Demoted to Satellite Love Interest: After she starts dating Flash, all of her storylines revolve around him.
- New Friend Envy: Is on the receiving end of this at the start of season 1 from both Rhyme and Quinn as she is introduced as Ellie's cool new friend from dance camp.
- Only Sane Man: Often plays this role within the chicken girl
- Commuting On The Bus: transfers to Crown lake mid-Season 4 but continues to appear for the rest of the season. Later returned for two guest appearances in season 7.
Tim Sharpe
Played by: Caden Conrique
- Chuck Cunningham Syndrome: Disappears after Season 4
- Full-Name Basis: Is often referred to by his full name.
Ace
