Characters / Chains Of Reality Prototype Sisters

Go To

The main antagonists of the story. They're the sisters of Lincoln from the original reality, and thus serve as prototypes to the current line of sisters. They detest Lincoln for destroying the original reality, and want to make him pay while also working on an enigmatic goal.

    In General
  • Action Girl: This should go without saying.
  • Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: With Lincoln/Proto-Lincoln. In the original, while they were still angry at him for what he did, they at least had some semblance of care for him still. In the reboot, they outright despise him.
  • Adaptational Sanity: Downplayed. In the original story, the Proto-Sisters didn't even bother hiding their Ax-Crazy natures. In the reboot, while still nuts, they at least have a Mask of Sanity that they can uphold for an extended amount of time.
  • Ax-Crazy: As soon as the mask is off, they reveal their true, mad selves.
  • Exotic Eye Designs: Their sclera is the same color as their caste's signature color, and their pupils are shaped like their caste's birthmark.
  • Hartman Hips: They all have these, probably as a result of giving birth to millions of children. Given who they are, however, this is less hot and more disturbing.
  • Hidden Agenda Villain: While their direct, short-term goal is to make Lincoln pay for destroying the original reality, the only thing known about their long-term plan involves something called "Loudgeddon.
  • Humanoid Abomination: They look human, but their strange looks, horrifyingly exageratted power and morality show, they're anything but human.
  • Jerkass: While some are less insufferable than others, none of the Proto-Sisters are pleasent people to interact with.
  • Mad God: They're the former goddesses of the world, and by the time we see them again, while they can hide it well, it's clear they're not quite sane.
  • Mask of Sanity: In the reboot, they can maintain this provided they're not angered to a breaking point.
  • Mother of a Thousand Young: They gave birth to the entire protophilim race.
  • Older Than They Look: Their physical looks range from young adults to children, but they've literally been alive for eons.
  • Precursors: To both the protophilim, who are their children, and the Neo-Sisters, their successors.
  • Shadow Archetype: They're essentially what the Loud sisters would become if they had no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

    Prototype Lori
Lori's prototype, and Leni's master.
  • The Ghost: She's notably the only Proto-Sister to not appear in either version of the story. At least Proto-Leni makes an implied appearence in the original story, but Proto-Lori's nowhere to be seen.

    Prototype Leni
Leni's prototype, and Lori's master.
  • Chained to a Rock: How she's introduced in the original version. She's suspended in mid-air, while nearly completely tied with chains covering her whole body.

    Prototype Luna
Luna's prototype, who serves as one of the leaders of the Lincolnism cult.
  • Purple Is Powerful: Purple's her main color, and like the other prototype sisters, she's horrifically overpowered. In fact, like Luna, she's probably the strongest Proto-Sister barring Proto-Lori and Proto-Leni.
  • Perpetual Smiler: She always has a smile on her face.
  • Secret Test of Character: She apparently puts any kid who wants to join Lincolnism through one of this; She presents them some purple bread, and they can choose whether to eat it, joining the cult right away, or not eating it, sending them on a harder path. The right option, which most Lincolnists apparently fail at, is to not eat the bread.
  • Sinister Minister: Is the leader of the "Lincolnism" cult group, and she's not to be trusted.
  • Sugar-and-Ice Personality: She's mostly patient with the lincolnists, and is willing to be patient with them. Everybody else... are not so lucky.

    Prototype Luan
Luan's prototype.
  • Evil Has a Bad Sense of Humor: In that she doesn't seem to have a sense of humor in the first place.
  • Magic Staff: Had one of these in the original story.
  • The Stoic: Barely shows emotion at any given time, a rather stark contrast to her descendants' emotional personality.
  • Super-Empowering: Again, only in the original story, she empowers Maggie when she feels her despair.

    Prototype Lynn
Lynn's prototype.

    Prototype Lucy
Lucy's prototype.
  • Dark Is Evil: Darkness seems to follow her around, and she's one of the most dangerous Proto-Sisters.
  • Deal with the Devil: She's one of the sisters that can be summoned in the "Ars Loudia," but this is not recommended, for blatantly obvious reasons.
  • Eye Scream: She herself suffered this in the original reality, and she does this to those who can't keep their end of the deals with her.

    Prototype Lana
Lana's prototype.
  • The Beastmaster: As the former matriarch of the Lana caste, she has to be this in order to keep control.
  • Blue Is Heroic: Completely averted. She wears blue overalls, like Lana, but she's one of the main antagonists.
  • Break Them by Talking: She loves doing this in her own arc, and has Lincoln, Carol, and Lana as the recipients. While she gets a reaction out of Lincoln and Carol, Lana's having none of that.
  • Fangs Are Evil: She has prominent fangs, and is a prototype sister.
  • Walk on Water: Shows the ability to do this in the reboot.

    Prototype Lola
Lola's prototype.
  • Eat Dirt, Cheap: Downplayed; When Lindsey Sweetwater invites her to a tea party during the climax of the Proto-Lola arc, the prototype herself adds some grounded rose quartz to her drink.
  • Eye Scream: Lola lunges a piece of crystal right into her eye when she torments the girl for too long. She doesn't react well to it at all.
  • Disappointed in You: There are hints of this being the case when she discovers Lola hasn't been training, and thus doesn't even know she had other abilities, before she goes right into mocking her.
  • The Fighting Narcissist: She has a particularly elevated perception of herself, and is also a fighter to boot.

    Prototype Lisa
Lisa's prototype.
  • Mrs. Exposition: Appears in the bonus chapter of "Lincolnism" to explain to Paige the castes and what they do.
  • Unperson: For one reason or the other, both the Lincolnism group and the other sisters themselves refuse to have anything to do with her.

    Prototype Lily
Lily's prototype.
