Tsumugi Minase

The main heroine. 5 years ago she saw the lollipop user who decimated Tokyo. Since she had the same sort of power, she had kept her lollipop powers a secret so not to be falsely persecuted. After meeting Misaki, she decides to join Recette to clear the stigma of sweets.

• Action Girl: Despite her seemingly delicate looks, she's an incredibly strong and formidable fighter.
• Arch-Enemy: To Amato, the leader of Tokyo Decimator Lollipop User gang and the lollipop user responsible for the destruction of Tokyo five years before the story.
• Batter Up!: Uses her lollipop as a weapon this way in the fight against Popcorn in Chapter 9.
• Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Downplayed. She's not a bad person per se, but she's not as sweet as she appears to be either. She's also very aware (and proud) of her cute looks and uses it to her full advantage every time she needs it.
• Brutal Honesty: She's sarcastic and blunt to a fault. When she isn't putting up her cutesy facade in front of others, she's not one to mince words.
• Carry a Big Stick: Her preferred weapon is a giant lollipop that she swings like a mallet.
• Clear My Name: A variation, in which Tsumugi is attempting to find the true Lollipop user who destroyed Tokyo to prevent herself from being framed for their actions.
• Combat Pragmatist: She mostly relies on surprise and sneak attacks to win her fights instead of simply fighting her opponents head-on. Part of it is because she has to hide her identity whenever she brings out her lollipop, while the other reason is to make up for her relative inexperience as a fighter.
• Edible Bludgeon: Her powers lets her create and control properties of her lollipops to often be melee weapons.
• Hero with Bad Publicity: Something she actively tries to avoid. A lollipop user once destroyed Tokyo five years ago, and because sweets users have no doubles, Tsugumi would be instantly implicated by virtue of being a lollipop user even though she knows that the culprit was someone else. This is why she understandably prefers to remain incognito for most of the story.
• I Am Not Left-Handed: In chapter 18, after self reflecting that she had been hung up on the shape, she realized that maybe as long as one can lick it on a stick it's a lollipop. She then proceeds to make and pilot a giant candy mech lollipop.
• Jerk with a Heart of Gold: She's got a bit of a mean and selfish streak and is uncouth every now and then but is still ultimately heroic by the end of the day, going out of her way to help others despite having nothing to gain from it because she believes it's the right thing to do.
• Only Sane Woman: Count on her to question every single absurdity she encounters in the manga.
• Proud Beauty: People find her cute and she knows it.
• Sweet Tooth: She loves all sorts of sweets, especially her Trademark Favorite Food.
• Telescoping Staff: She can use her powers to extend and retract the stick of her lollipop.
• Trademark Favorite Food: Lollipops.

A Recette Agent who first meets Tsumugi when he was arresting a doughnut user and his cohorts.

• Alliterative Name: Misaki Midori.
• Fake Ultimate Hero: He gets credited for Tsugumi's heroics under her insistence much to his dismay.
• Gender-Blender Name: His given name "Misaki" is usually for females.
• Idiot Hero: He really sucks academically as shown in chapter 1.
• Lawful Stupid: He's by the book to the point of idiocy. He got beat up by Kishizaki after he got in his way of hassling Tsugumi because it's expressly forbidden to harm other students even though Misaki is fully capable of beating his ass.
• Madness Mantra: Played for Laughs in Chapter 11 when he was given credit for Tsugumi's achievements:
  Misaki: I just did what any Recette would've done...I just did what any Recette would've done...
• New Transfer Student: In chapter 1, he had coincidentally transferred to the same school and class as Tsumugi.
• Scarf Of Ass Kicking: Wears one with his Recette uniform.

• An Ice Person: Ice cream, that she can easily use to coat the entire area she's in with massive scoops and encase people inside it, as Misaki experiences.
• Awesome by Analysis: Not only does she piece together that Tsumigi was the Lollipop User due to her showing her powers on the same day the Macaron user was apprehended, but she also deduces she couldn't have been the one to level Tokyo with how amateurish she is at her abilities.
• Bespectacled Cutie: She's a cute girl with glasses.
• Bunny-Ears Lawyer: She's one of Recette's top agents who's also a little cuckoo inside.
• Cloudcuckoolander: Her head's up in the clouds more often than not.
• Good Parents: Her mother and father absolutely adored her, to the point of fawning over her forgetfulness and innocence, as well as sending her away from Tokyo when they were afraid she would be persecuted for her Sweets powers.
• Reasonable Authority Figure: Though she has a personal stake in arresting the Lollipop User that decimated Tokyo, she was willing to hear out the plea of innocence of Tsumugi (who is also a Lollipop User), do a Secret Test of Character and gives her a chance to prove herself by allowing her to take the Recette Exams to join Recette.

• Dark and Troubled Past/Freudian Excuse: They were Unwitting Test Subjects used when developing the ToyToy Candies. The Mad Scientists who experimented on them didn't care if the test subjects died in the process.
