The Dark
Ismael Franz-Peter Goldmann. One of the first two people to ever get powers, and partially responsible for Point Zero. The worlds top (and first) supervillain. The King of Supervillains, the Father of Metahumanity.
- Anti-Villain: Although it's not established concretely, see the Face–Heel Turn quote below. Certainly a Type I on the Sliding Scale of Anti-Villains, at least.
- Casting a Shadow: The Dark summons Darkwraiths, sentient three-dimensional shadows with six red eyes and superpowers. He constantly wraps himself in one: only a handful of people have seen his true face in the past ninety years.
- Even Evil Has Loved Ones: We see this directly between the Dark and Gloom Glimmer. Basil notes that, back in the Eighties, a mob lynched one of his children. They never found all the pieces.
- The Faceless: He wears one of his Darkwraiths at all times. Only a handful of people have seen his face in the past ninety years. Or, per Fridge Logic, maybe they have and they just didn't know.
- Face–Heel Turn: As Macian says, "Did you know that the Dark – or Ismael Franz-Peter Goldmann, as he was called – used to be a hero before Point Zero? Whatever happened on that day – whatever he and Gwen Whitaker experienced - it turned him from a true, non-powered hero – one most superheroes could stand to learn something from – into the first and most persistent villain we know as the Dark. I really don’t think he’s evil without reason. There is a reason and it's probably the same thing that makes Lady Light a hero."
- Foregone Conclusion: "They Called Us Mad!" is the Dark's Start of Darkness. That the readers know how he ends up makes several scenes very poignant.
- The Gadfly: He likes pushing at people to get a reaction, even Lady Light. This often results in Lady Light slamming him into a wall.
- Mysterious Past: Something happened to change him into the man he is today. We just don't know what.
- Origins Episode: "They Called Us Mad!" serves as this for both Lady Light and the Dark.
- Weakened by the Light: The slightest touch of Lady Light's hard-light constructs will destroy the Dark's Darkwraiths.
The Dark Five
The top five lieutenants of the Syndicate, some have been with the Dark since the beginning, while others (Amy) have only been around recently. Kraquok
- The Consigliere: According to Lamarr, he’s the one to usually disagree with the Dark. The fact that they both agreed an attack on the Savage Six was a bad idea convinced everyone (except Amy, but her reasons for attacking were more emotional than logical).
- Even Evil Has Standards: Violently assaults and eats child abusers
- I'm a Humanitarian: Cannibal and leader of a cult of cannibals
- Monstrous Humanoid: He's a Chimaera-type. He is, among other things, about three metres tall and has: two sets of arms that hang to the ground; six-jointed fingers; digitigrade feet; a tail; and his faces are too weird to describe simply.
- Sizeshifter: Becomes larger and stronger, the longer he fights
The Dowager
- Magically-Binding Contract: She can make contracts with people and if they break them...
- The Minion Master: Breaking a contract results in immediate death and the creation of a ‘Shade’ in her service, which holds all powers, skills and memories of the Original.
- Right-Hand Cat: Always accompanied by a large white cat
Dajisi
- High Priest: Self-styled High Priest of the Five Gods
- Power Copying: Capable of copying at least 4 powers
- The Social Darwinist: Believes in metahuman superiority. He believes that people who are destined will manifest and everyone else deserves to die.

Lamarr the Purple
- Attention Whore: He chooses to dress up as a flying magician, and in his bio
he is shown to be the only member of the Dark Five to have revealed his full name and complete biography. - Badass Cape: Goes along with his magician motif and can be used as a Magic Carpet.
- Improbable Age: Joined the Dark Five when he was around 11-years-old.
- Mellow Fellow: He's never shown as anything but unflappably confident and calm, even when dealing with Mindstar's temper or getting ready to fight a Kaiju that requires a literal army of metahumans to stand a chance.
- Mind Manipulation: He can hypnotize people.
- Shapeshifting: Can turn into animals and people.
- Space Master: Can bend space for teleportation, protection and hiding weaponry.
Potential Members
The Matriarch/Eloise Luviere
The other daughter of Aap Oordra, raised by the Evil Matriarch known fittingly as The Matriarch.
- Daddy's Girl: Eloise very much wanted her father in her life, and unlike Hennessy, she has no problem accepting him when he shows up.
- Guardian Entity: A sentient shadow that protects her and can keep secrets from her.
- Legacy Character: Daughter of the first Matriarch.
- World's Most Beautiful Woman: She is considered the most beautiful lady in Illinois, only challenged by her half-sister.
