Saru's Party
Saru's Party is a small group of young travelers who band together after encountering Saru and helped each other during their journey.
Tropes pertaining to the Party in general
- Anti-Hero: Well...they do help innocent people mainly because of Saru or Vlam, but they tend to leave behind a field of desutrustion and live the whole Good Is Not Nice idea.
- Badass Crew: Every member of Saru's Party is a badass and dangerous in their own right.
- Bad Powers, Good People: One is a person with insane superhuman abilities, a master swordsmen who could kill people in several ways, a super speeded assassin who could kill you in seconds, and a pyrotechnic who loves seeing things blow up. But all and all, good people in heart.
- Beware the Nice Ones / Beware the Silly Ones: Saru's Party are generally nice guys and at times very silly. Some are jerks but they are usually good people at heart. But, when evil rises, they will take it down.
- Experienced Protagonist: Minus Vlam, the rest seem to be well-aware how battles and the real world works, but still seem to have a lot of things to learn.
- The Force Is Strong with This One: Most of them appear to able to sense Mantra energy.
- Hero with Bad Publicity: They did went against the Corporation order to fight against the Leopard and could have cause a civil war if they failed to defeat them.
- Mr. Vice Guy: The groups have outright vices yet are overall good guys at heart.
- Saru is The Hero with good ideals and wanna help people out, but tend to follow his own rules than others.
- Yukimo is a kind assassin and treat others somewhat well, but still a deadly assassin who killed others and one time let her angry get the better of her.
- Hash is a good friend to Saru, but tend to be lazy and has a bad attitude towards other.
- Vlam is a friendly guy, but seem to...enjoy blowing things up a little too much.
- Mysterious Past: Beside Vlam, we still don't know much about the others past.
- Ragtag Bunch of Misfits: The group consists of a number of characters with.... strange behavior for novel characters.
Saru
The Hero of the story and the mysterious adventurer who traveled Neo Earth to find his purpose in life. At first glare he seem like a normal teenager, but acutally super strong and fast fighter with strength beyond normal of a regular teen and with a Dark and Troubled Past.
- An Odd Place to Sleep: Sleeps far away from his traveling party because he sleep in the nude and monsters tend to attack him while sleeping.
- Back-to-Back Badasses: With Hash during Markwells Invasion.
- Battle Aura: What he give off toward Berry
- Beware the Nice Ones: Seems like a chilled and friendly type of guy....unless you are the bad guy and wants you dead.
- Chronic Hero Syndrome: Shows no problem helping others, even those who were once his enemies.
- Dark and Troubled Past: Something Omega Skin hint it.
- Good Is Not Nice: Saru maybe the hero of the story, but doesn't mean he will be soft towards other like a typical hero would do.
- Hero with Bad Publicity: Due to his title of Monster of Seratopia.
- He Who Fights Monsters: What Omega Skin and David hinted during their meeting with Saru.
- Hidden Depths: Seems somewhat silly and idiotic, even outright a Blood Knight during battles, but shows a high level of leadership and strategy.
- Humble Hero: Refuse to take in Enin village treasures even after getting the treasure for them.
- Made of Iron: Easily survive dangerous attacks.
- Mr. Fanservice: He is usually seen in the first book in a towel after bathing or sleeping in the nude.
- Muscles Are Meaningless: Despite not being all bulking like Berry, Saru shows far greater strength despite having a lean body type then muscular type.
- Nice Guy: Despite being somewhat rude towards other and fine with killing, Saru is shown to be a decent guy and want to help people, despite his strange past.
- The Nicknamer: Due to not remembering people name so well, it took two chapters for Saru to remember Yukimo name.
- Super-Strength: One of his main power, something he use against his enemies.
- Thanks for the Mammary: How he figure out Yukimo is a girl by mistake.
- Thou Shalt Not Kill: He give people second chances even to his worse enemies, but will kill if they did evil deeds again.
- Vitriolic Best Buds: With Yukimo.
- Willfully Weak: What Yukimo and David believe after seeing him in action.
Yukimo Yukari
The infamous assassin who wanders around the world, killing corrupted people and wears a hooded outfit to block her face, hiding her gender completely from the world. Born from the Yukari Clan, Yukimo is highly train in assassination skills and high level of supe-speed that make her hard to catch and must more deadlier.
- Bathing Beauty: Took a nice and relaxing dip in a lake in the dark forest.
- Big Eater: Due to her super speed consume all calories in her body, thus needing to eat must more and never gain weight.
- Dark and Troubled Past: Something about her relationship with her enemy clan and her clan itself seems off.
- Defrosting Ice Queen: Starting out somewhat aloof and cold toward Saru, but later warm up to him.
- Determinator: Remembering a young girl helped her gain the strength to defeat Han.
- Dressing as the Enemy: Disguise herself as a member of Leopard Skin to sneak in.
- Flash Step: One minute you see her and the next...
- Healing Factor: Her foot was once broken, but later on it was healed easily.
- Hidden Depths: Despite being an assassin and a killer, she is surprisingly a good cook.
- Ms. Fanservice: With a figure like her, do you blame her.
- Not So Above It All: Despite arguing with Saru and Hash reckless behavior, she tend to act like one as well.
- Super-Speed: Her main power, something she inherit from her clan, the Yukari Clan.
- Super-Speed Reading: Something she use to hack into the Oflow.
- Supreme Chef: Something Saru and Hash couldn't believe.
- Tragic Keepsake: For some reason, Yukimo hold her earring as her most beloved treasure then anything else.
- Tomboy with a Girly Streak: Yukimo is a rough assassin who wears male like assassin clothes, but see herself as a maiden and knows how to cook.
Hash
The hitman swordsmen who goes around section to section, being hired by people to murder certain people for hire. A young man with a bad attituded, Hash battled against Saru and join his party after befriending him and Saru saving his life.
- Ax-Crazy: Show signs of this when fighting an opponent, but manage to handle himself in social life.
- Blood Knight: Hash seems to enjoy slashing a little too much, but tend to be chill and laze around.
- Chivalrous Pervert: Took joy when seeing Yukimo bathe but isn't too serious in his pervertness.
- Cool Sword: His main katana, Ludinus.
- Heroes Prefer Swords: More of the Anti-Hero role, but Hash prefer his katana more than anything else as his main weapons.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Hash tend to act like a jerk and shows no problem with killing, but he does show he care about his friends, just doesn't show it.
- Master Swordsman: Something Hash is really good at and show high level.
- Meaningful Name: It's a possibility that his name insinuates slash which is close to hash, as in hashing a tree in half.
Vlam Firearm
The firework maker of Big Top Circus and the youngest member of Saru's Party. A young man with spirit as bright as his firework, he shows hope and peace through his work and want to continue his parent legacy after they went missing.
- Badass Normal: No Mantra, no training, just pure skills with fireworks that goes toe-to-toe with other Mantra user.
- Butt-Monkey: Sometime, nobody take him seriously, even Brave Exiles, but they did show that they do care about him and take him a capable fighter.
- Daddy Had a Good Reason for Abandoning You: Vlam father, Bruce, left him in the care of Jimbo because he threatened to attack him and Vlam.
- Deadpan Snarker: Vlam is not so above it.
- Determinator: Vlam is very determine to make his firework known in the world.
- Fantastic Fireworks: Fit this tropes with a T.
- Having a Blast: His main power is creating firework explosion though gunpowder.
- Nice Guy: Vlam is very friendly and cheerful towards other.
- Not So Above It All: Despite finding most of Saru's Party strange, he is the strange one as well.
- Pay Evil unto Evil: Half burning his boss, Jimbo for drugging their customers and selling his dad to another cirus.
