Kisuke's Shop

    Kisuke Urahara
"Oh man, I suck at my job... Except for the times when I'm awesome at it!"

Voiced by: Logan Laidlaw

A former Captain exiled by Aizen. He's still rather salty about it.

  • Actually Pretty Funny: He finds Chad's confused response to him explaining The Worf Effect in an effort to convince Chad not to bother with training (asking why they're talking about Renji) to be funny enough to agree to teach Chad anyways. Though he still (correctly) doesn't expect too much of the results.
  • Apathetic Teacher: Whenever he has to train someone, he takes the path that requires him to raise the least amount of effort.
  • Berserk Button: Being told he isn't as good as Aizen, which Yammy outright punched twice.
  • Big Good: With Soul Society being a dysfunctional mess, and Yamamoto being senile and bloodthirsty, this position falls to Kisuke by default.
  • Brutal Honesty: He tries to soften the blow, sure, but there's no easy way to tell Chad and Orihime that they've been Overshadowed by Awesome.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: He's shabby-looking and generally apathetic. He's also the most effective character on the side of the heroes.
  • Good Is Not Nice: He's kind of a dick, but firmly against Aizen and other threats to reality.
  • Hidden Depths: He wanted to be an animator when he was young, but had to give up due to his lack of drawing skills.
  • Lazy Bum: If it doesn't involve Aizen in some way, Kisuke feels no need to help Ichigo or Soul Society.
  • Troll: Stopping Aizen is important, sure, but that doesn't mean Kisuke can't get his kicks from watching his allies boggle at his instructions.
  • Unknown Rival: His entire goal is to prove that he's better than Aizen. How Aizen feels about him is unknown, though he's at least aware of his existence.

    Yoruichi Shihoin
"You're so cute when you're angry!"

Voiced by: Cassandra Cavalli

Urahara's ninja cat girlfriend.

  • Lost Superweapon: Apparently what happened to her Zanpakutō.
Yoruichi: (Casually) I lost it or something... can't remember where it is.
    Ichigo: You lost your Bankai?
Yoruichi: I think it's in my sock drawer... mmmmaybe.
  • Ms. Fanservice: One of the biggest sources, and everyone including her is aware of it.
  • The Tease: Flirts with everyone to watch them squirm.
  • Vocal Dissonance: She can use the masculine voice of her cat form as a human, which she does to get a kick out of people's reactions.
Ichigo: YOU STOP SOUNDING LIKE A MAN THIS INSTANT!
    Yoruichi: (Actual voice) Party pooper.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifting: Her cat form, and her voice to go along with it.

The V-Club

    Shinji Hirako
"We're happy to have you in the V."

Voiced by: Kenneth Tynan

The leader of the Visoreds- sorry, the V-Club.

  • Accidental Innuendo: He has never realized what his use of the letter V can also mean, leaving him making some inappropriate V-related dialogue and wondering why people laugh when he does.
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: He may be dense enough to not get the double entendre everyone else sees behind 'V-club', but he's still a powerful Visored and former Captain capable of curbstomping Grimmjow.
  • Insistent Terminology: For whatever reason, he prefers to call the Visoreds the V-Club.
  • Missing Steps Plan: Enrolling into Ichigo's school, which didn't serve any real purpose.
  • No-Respect Guy: Sure, he can take on Grimmjow's first form, but the constant V-related jokes surrounding him means everyone has ridiculed him at least once.

    Hiyori Sarugaki
"YOU'RE NOT GREAT JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE A STUPID HOLLOW MASK!"

Voiced by: Ariel Hansen

The grouchy Visored who takes over training Ichigo when Shinji doesn't seem to be pushing him hard enough.

  • Berserk Button: Calling attention to her freckles, snaggletooth, or shortness. Ichigo did all of them in short order.
  • Bullying a Dragon: Insults Ichigo's mom, and consequently ends up on White's bad side.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: She seems to be constantly angry.
Ichigo: Did someone hurt you Hiyori? Who hurt you?
    Hiyori: JOSH GROBAN!
  • Drill Sergeant Nasty: She's in charge of Ichigo's Visored training, which involves beating him up.
  • You Wouldn't Like Me When I'm Angry!: Invoked this on Ichigo, only for it to turn around when his Hollowfied form proved too much for her.

     Lisa Yadōmaru
"A demonic beast. This fight shall hence be past down. Raise your blade Hollow!"

Voiced By: Corey Woods

The proud warrior lady of the Visoreds.

  • Antiquated Linguistics: Soul Reapers are generally over a hundred/thousand years old, yet she's the only one that talks like this.
  • Proud Warrior Race Guy: Considers the Visoreds to be the proud race in question.
Lisa: I shall go first. For the glory of the Visoreds.

     Kensei Muguruma
Voiced By: Al Dales

A former Captain who talks like military man.

  • Drill Sergeant Nasty: How he speaks.
  • Lethal Chef: If Shinji and Hiyori are anything to go by.
Kensei: (While being pushed back by blob thing emitting from Hollow Ichigo's body) In all my years of service, I've never seen anything so revolting!
Shinji: You never tasted your cooking then, Kensei!
    Hiyori: BURN!

Filler

    Senna
"Today's forecast calls for OP Shikai skills, AND A STRONG CHANCE OF ADORABLE FILLER!"

Voiced by: Ariel Hansen

  • Forgotten Fallen Friend: Some Laser-Guided Amnesia kicks in after she dies, preventing any of the main characters from remembering her.
  • Girl of the Week: Ichigo's Love Interest for the duration of Memories of Nobody.
  • Living Macguffin: She turns out to be the Memory Rock that the Blanks are drawn to, which Ichigo realizes he should have figured sooner.
  • Manic Pixie Dream Girl: Ichigo's frustrations over his failing "relationship" with Rukia and his unpaid Substitute Soul Reaper job leads to him quickly hitting it off with Senna when she proves to be a distraction from all of that.

    The Dark Ones
"Dark Ones"? Was "League of Not Nice" taken?
—Suì-Fēng

Voiced by: Logan Laidlaw (Ganryu), Al Dales (Jai) Evan Moyer (Riyan), Gurjot Toor (Benin), Norman Leavoy (Bau), Ken Tynan (Mue)

  • Big Bad: The main antagonists of Memories of Nobody.
  • Filler Villain: And no one lets them forget it.
  • Generic Doomsday Villain: As Ichigo points out, their backstory is weak, and they're trying to destroy the world just because.
  • Hidden Depths: Thoroughly mocked. As they die, each of them hint as to having some sort of interesting personal backstory, but neither the protagonists or the abridgers care.

    Sojiro Kusaka
"Toshiro Hitsugaya is incapable of having friends."

Voiced by: Aaron Robert Parnell

Hitsugaya's former friend, who for some reason also has Hyorinmaru as his zanpakuto.

  • Ambiguously Gay: Everything he says regarding Hitsugaya comes off as him having a crush that went sour when they were forced to fight to the death.
  • Big Bad: Of DiamondDust Rebellion.
  • Character Catchphrase: "That doesn't really click with what I'm going for". His response to any offers for redemption given to him. Or, really, any sort of logic that renders his vendetta null.
  • Cynicism Catalyst: For Hitsugaya, who became extremely anti-authority after Kusaka's first death.
  • Didn't Think This Through: His plan to frame Hitsugaya for attacking Kyōraku is foiled by the fact that 1) Soul Society's reaction to this would to immediately call shenanigans because Hitsugaya would never be able to beat up Kyōraku and 2) Hitsugaya fighting a squad led by Hisagi and Kira around the same time.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: Gets increasingly pissed as he learns that Ichigo and Hitsugaya are friends.
  • Revenge Before Reason: Yamamoto personally tells him that he's been pardoned for his crime(s), that the higher ups who ordered his death are dead, they have no reason to kill him, and even, aside from a professional standpoint, that he didn't deserve to be killed in the first place. He still tries to kill them all and gets un-pardoned.
  • Tragic Villain: Invoked and then played with. When Yamamoto first meets him directly, he notes that Kusaka didn't deserve to die the way he did, and that with the ones who had him executed now dead, Yamamoto would be free to give him a full pardon. Kusaka however rejects the pardon and tries to slaughter everyone, prompting Yamamoto to retract his pardon, and culminating in him having one last duel to the death with Hitsuguya. Only after he's been ran through does he remember what actually happened when he died and apologizes, Hitsuguya lamenting how much losing Kusaka that day hurt him, and bidding him a solemn final goodbye.
  • We Used to Be Friends: With Hitsugaya. When Kusaka comes back to avenge their past, he finds himself of the opposite side of his old friend.

    Ashido Kanō
"Before meeting all of you, I didn't know the meaning of life. I was just an empty shell, devoid of purpose. I would gladly repay you with my very life!"

Voiced by: Chase Corbin
