Main Characters
A young woman who traded her humanity for demonic power at some point in the past to aid her on her quest to find a special someone she used to know. Highly skilled with a blade and commanding a host of powerful magical abilities thanks to her demonic augments and legendary artifacts she makes for a very formidable warrior that can fight both humans and monsters on even terms. Not much is currently known about her past aside from the fact that she may have an important connection to Iuna, the dreaded Witch of the Wastes who is responsible for the current state of the world.
A deadly demon symbiote that fused with Ashyara's body through unknown means and now shares a symbiotic relationship with her by proving her with magical abilities in exchange for souls and mana. Though he remains her begrudging ally for the time being he makes it clear that their relationship is one of mutual benefit, not friendship... and that he won't mind eating Ashyara's own soul if she should ever fall in battle or fail to keep him properly fed. He currently resides inside Ashyara's left eye and can be summoned at will to assist her in combat.

Ashyara's Friends and Allies
A strange young boy whom Ashyara met in the town of Strin shortly before it came under attack by a powerful horde of monsters led by a mysterious revenant. Though still a child he has enough skill with a blade to properly defend himself and even manages to slay one of the monsters laying waste to his home. Not much else is currently known about him or his role in the overall story. Ashyara finds him very cute.

Major Villains
A powerful yet mentally shattered sorceress that is responsible for the recent spread of corruption throughout the world. Known by most as the Witch of the Wastes she commands intense fear and respect from all who have heard her name. While her ultimate goal is still unknown she has quickly proven herself to be one of the most evil and deadly characters in the story with her callous murder of innocents and impressive displays of dark magic. She seems to have some sort of deep connection to Ashyara's past, but like so many other things about her this connection remains a mystery for the time being.
A strange pair of demonic twins introduced at the very end of the first chapter of the story. Most of their goals and characteristics are unknown at this point aside from the fact that they have been observing Iuna and seem to be fairly intelligent. Whatever their true aims are, it likely can't be good for the local human population or Ashyara.
