The Strawberry Witch
A "strawberry" themed witch who owns a bakery deep inside the forest. Despite having the appearance of a whimsical and innocent witch, there's something off about her...
  • Ax-Crazy: If she's treated horribly by the protagonist, she'll snap and decide to commit suicide and use her own corpse to make a cake. She'll also murder and bake the protagonist into a cake. In one ending, Strawberry will also throw the protagonist inside an oven for eating a living strawbunny.
  • Bad Liar: When the protagonist asks her if her house is edible, she nervously denies it but if they persist she'll quietly ask them not to eat her house.
  • Cute Witch: A perky young girl with pink hair, upon meeting her the protagonist mentioned her smile is very warm and comforting.
  • Despair Event Horizon: After witnessing death after death along with the protagonist's cruel mistreatment of her, Strawberry suffers a mental breakdown before finally resolving to kill herself and the protagonist.
  • Downer Ending: All the endings, except one ending that's the true ending. Two of the endings have Strawberry commit suicide, two endings have the protagonist killed by Strawberry after she snaps from their mistreatment.
  • Easily Forgiven: After reading her diary, the protagonist learn how much pain and suffering Strawberry has endured, leading them to completely forgive her for knocking them out and tying them up against their will so they won't leave the bakery.
  • Food-Based Superpowers: Strawberry's magic is linked to, of course, strawberries and sweet things in general. This is a huge point of insecurity for her, as she has trouble fulfilling other people's desires with her strawberry-magic.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: Strawberry wants nothing more than to fulfill her visitors' deepest desires so they won't kill themselves. But after years of failure and finding visitor after visitor dead, she's gotten desperate. To the point that when the protagonist tries to leave, she knocks them out and ties them up in her room to keep them from committing suicide.
  • Yandere: Strawberry seems rather kind and sweet at first, but behaves increasingly suspiciously, and seems hellbent on preventing the main character from leaving the bakery. Ultimately downplayed, as she doesn't have any ill intentions. It turns out that she knows the protagonist is suicidal and is desperate to prevent it at any cost.

     Protagonist
The Protagonist of the story who found themselves inside a mysterious forest with total memory loss. The protagonist's behavior will depend on the choices the player makes throughout the story.
  • Asshole Victim: If the protagonist keep insulting Strawberry she'll finally loose whatever sanity she had left. In three of the endings she committed suicide, murdered the protagonist, or both. However, considering how the protagonist rejected her kindness and calling her a failure, they had it coming.
  • Deadpan Snarker: The protagonist can make some pretty snarky comments about Strawberry and her abilities as a witch.
  • Death Seeker: It's revealed the protagonist have come to the forest in hopes of ending their own life. They're not the only one who had the same idea.
  • Featureless Protagonist: The protagonist is supposed to represent the player, so they have no distinguishable features and never appear on-screen. Their personality is also rather bland and depends almost entirely on the player's actions.
  • Innocently Insensitive: The protagonist is often pretty rude to Strawberry, seemingly without realizing it. More than once they make derogatory comments about her intelligence and patronize her with Strawberry being just too desperate for companionship to call them out. In the Wicked Witch ending they also eat the Strawbunny she gifted them in front of her and afterwards get confused at her horrified reaction.
