    Megan Walsh / Agent 83

Megan Walsh / Agent 83

Played By: Hailee Steinfeld, Madeleine Stack (young)

A young secret agent who fakes her own death so she can have a normal high-school experience.

  • The Ace: Megan is the very best of all the agents in Prescott Special School for Orphans.
  • Action Girl: Megan is one of the best agents around.
  • Badass Adorable: She's a cute and overall sweet girl, and is able to kick a lot of ass.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: Megan might seem a bit weird with her socially-awkward tendencies and tacky choice of clothing, but don't let it fool you: she's actually a trained assassin and can and will kick your ass.
  • Brainy Brunette: She's a brunette and Prescott's best operative.
  • Combat Pragmatist: She's been taught to use her environment as weapons, such as in the final fight with Heather where she uses a fire hose.
  • Fish out of Water: Despite all her research, Megan is really out of her depth in high school.
  • Foreign Exchange Student: She pretends to be one from Regina, Canada.
  • Genius Ditz: Since she was brought up an agent à la Black Widow, Megan is knowledgeable in hand to hand combat, infiltration, hacking, and use of firearms; on the other hand, she is completely clueless about the real teenage experience that she longs for, and bases all of her knowledge of such things on works of fiction. This naturally leads to several faux-pas and misunderstandings when she does find herself posing as an Ordinary High-School Student.
  • I Just Want to Be Normal: Megan’s motivation to fake her own death and enroll in high school.
  • Nice Girl: She's really friendly and doesn't want to actually hurt anyone, which is why she decides to quit Prescott.
  • Smitten Teenage Girl: She easily falls for Cash, the school's hottie.
  • Teen Superspy: She was raised to be a secret agent her whole life, and is now 16 years old.
  • Wrong Genre Savvy: She often tries to apply her knowledge of teen movies to actual high school with less-than-ideal results. For instance, she mistakes a group of overly friendly cheerleaders for mean girls pulling a prank on her, yet fails to pick up when an actual pair of mean girls really are setting her up for a prank.
  • You Are Number 6: Hardman refers to Megan only as Agent 83.

    Heather / Agent 84

Heather / Agent 84

Played By: Sophie Turner, Eva G. Cooper (young)

Megan’s fellow secret agent.

  • Ax-Crazy: She wants to kill Megan with a goddamn butcher knife only out of spite.
  • Always Second Best: As good as she is, Megan is always better.
  • Big Bad Duumvirate: She overall answers to/works with Victoria, but has her own goals and plans in mind. The post-credits scene sets her up as the possible next film's Big Bad.
  • Dark Action Girl: Post Face–Heel Turn. She's a Worthy Opponent to Megan.
  • Dragon Ascendant: More like henchmen ascendant, as its unclear whether she's actually The Dragon to Victoria. The post-credits scene shows that she is now in charge of her own henchmen (possibly Victoria's) and has sort of replaced Victoria.
  • Evil Redhead: After her Face–Heel Turn.
  • Face–Heel Turn: She's always had a rivalry with Megan/83 but she turns full on evil half way through and becomes a double agent.
  • Femme Fatale Spy: Once she leaves Prescott and after her Face–Heel Turn, as shown as she seduces Roger to spite Megan.
  • Fiery Redhead: She's a redhead and has an explosive temper, especially in her Villainous Breakdown.
  • Foil: Very much to Megan.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: She's jealous of Megan for being Prescott's best operative. No matter how hard she works, she can't be as good as Megan which infuriates her.
  • Icy Blue Eyes: She has blue eyes, but is an insane individual.
  • The Mole: For Victoria Knox, whom she helped escape from Prescott.
  • The Only One Allowed to Defeat You: Heather states the day Megan supposedly died was the worst day of her life, because she wanted to kill her herself.
  • Rival Turned Evil: She and Megan competed over being Prescott's best agent (though it was mainly one-sided), but Victoria used Heather's jealousy against her to commit a Face–Heel Turn.
  • Teen Superspy: Like Megan, though Heather is an antagonist.
  • Use Your Head: During the homecoming fight, when Megan grabs her arms and disarms her, she breaks the hold by headbutting her in the face.
  • The Vamp: A beautiful but antagonistic teenage spy.
  • You Are Number 6: Hardman refers to her only as Agent 84.

    Hardman

Hardman

Played By: Samuel L. Jackson

The man in charge of Prescott Special School for Orphans, that turns little girls into lethal assassins.

    Liz Larson

Liz Larson

Played By: Dove Cameron

The girl whose family takes Megan in thinking she’s a Canadian exchange student.

  • Action Survivor: Contrary to 83/Megan, Liz has no sorts of training, and needs to try her best to survive in Megan's assassin world. Though she gets a moment where she stabs Heather in the leg with a corndog.
  • Cloudcuckoolander's Minder: Finds herself having to be this for Megan.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Calls all the dry wit one-liners in the movie.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen: She's at first dismissive and ashamed of Megan's weirdness, but she slowly warms up to her and the two become a sisterly bond by the end of the movie.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: She at first makes no secret of the fact that she doesn’t want Megan in her house, but eventually warms up to Megan, as she encourages Megan to stay after the ambush with 84/Heather.

    Victoria Knox

Victoria Knox

Played By: Jessica Alba

An international arms dealer captured by Megan.

  • Arms Dealer: Her profession and the reason Megan is sent after her.
  • Big Bad: The movie's main antagonist.
  • Big Bad Duumvirate: Sort of with Heather. She's clearly the one in charge, but Heather has her own goals and plans against Megan. Heather is also the one who helps her escape.
  • Dark Action Girl: She can hold her own with trained assassins.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Mostly at Hardman's expense, but the woman has a dry sense of humor.
  • Evil Genius: She has an IQ of 140.
  • "Not So Different" Remark: Knox states to Megan the two actually have a lot in common.
  • A Pupil of Mine Until He Turned to Evil: It's actually revealed that Victoria Knox is Agent 1, a.k.a Prescott's first agent in its history, thus was trained by Hardman since childhood.

    Roger Marcus

Roger Marcus

Played By: Thomas Mann

An AV kid in Megan’s high school.

  • First Guy Wins: He is the first guy Megan meets in the school and he’s the one she ends up with in the end.
  • Missing Mom: He has a Bumbling Dad, but no mention of his mother.
  • Nice Guy: He is one of the nicest most down to earth people Megan meets in school.
  • Pungeon Master: He loves to make frog-related puns.
  • Two First Names: Roger and Marcus are two male given names.
