     Queen Kathleen

Queen Kathleen

She is Valond's queen, and King Kael's and Aida's mother. She helps Aida escape from the Valondian dungeon in the third chapter, and is furious with Synius for his actions. She is a noble, but took part in Fahrana, and is capable of bearing children and feeling emotion, much like the heroine, who is her daughter.

  • Killed Off for Real: Synius kills her and frames Aida for it.
  • He Knows Too Much: Her knowledge that she is Aida's mother causes her to be offed by Synius.
  • Mommy Had a Good Reason for Abandoning You: When Kael and Aida were born, she had to send Aida away to protect her, as she knew that the Silver Order would try to kill her to make Karl stronger. One of the books in the history section in Chapter 2 mentions that the Queen looked unusually sad for someone who'd just had a baby.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: Her daughter Aida greatly resembles her.

     Kael

King Kael

He is Valond's king and the Big Bad of the series.

  • Big Bad
  • Cain and Abel: He tried to kill his own twin sister Aida in the past, as killing one noble twin makes the other stronger. When he captures Aida in Chapter 3, he viciously tortures her and forces her to Mercy Kill her friend Victor. She ultimately kills him in the end. As he's dying, he apologizes for what he's done and admits that he's scared.
  • Even Bad Men Love Their Mamas: He seems genuinely upset when he believes that Aida killed their mother, Queen Kathleen. It was Synius who killed her.
  • Face of an Angel, Mind of a Demon: He's just as pretty as his sister Aida and he's the Big Bad of the series.
Killed Off for Real: by Aida near the end of the third chapter.

     Synius

Synius

He is Kael's right-hand man. He killed Queen Kathleen, and framed Aida for it.

  • Greater-Scope Villain: He was the one to kill The Good King and Kael's father, Adrian, and planned to overtake the throne.
  • Karma Houdini: Despite being behind it all, he gets away scot-free at the end of the third Chapter, as he runs away before anyone gets to him.
  • The Man Behind the Man: To Kael.
  • Manipulative Bastard: He's Kael's trusted right-hand man who is manipulating Kael the entire time for his own purposes, killing his father to make him king and turning him against his own sister Aida by killing their mother and framing it on Aida.
