Main Characters

    Lita LeCotta

Lita LeCotta

  • Action Girl: She's a skilled archer, before and after getting the artifacts.
  • The Chosen One: After equipping Dian's Ring, she's led by Asari to gather more Artifacts of Power.
  • Deadpan Snarker: She often snarks about common JRPG cliches like how a crown sitting on the ground could be Schmuck Bait.
  • Height Angst: She's barely 5' and very upset about it.
  • Idiot Hero: Downplayed compared to Adrian. She's not very experienced with dungeons either, but she can at least tell that Adrian's quest giver was up to no good.
  • Light 'em Up: Favors Sunlight-elemental attacks, which makes her a natural at vampire killing.
  • Mage Marksman: Of the Magic Archer variety
  • Multishot: One of her abilities, which attacks all enemies
  • The Red Mage: Can attack equally well with arrows or holy magic, and also has a healing spell.

    Adrian Omani

Adrian Omani

  • Attack Reflector: His Reflector ability deflects magic targeted against him back at the caster, or more hilariously, reflects team-wide spells back at the entire enemy party.
  • Idiot Hero: The first dungeon shows that he and Lita are inexperienced with traps and he was foolish enough to trust an Obviously Evil quest giver.
  • Spin Attack: His Cyclone skill has him spin while swinging his ax, dealing AOE damage.

    Doren Indiel

Doren Indiel

  • The Casanova: Seri starts to get pretty pissed off at how many of his exes you run into.
  • Magic Music: Doren has access to this, allowing him to use healing spells and buffs.
  • Never Bareheaded: He really likes his turban. Not only does he wear it while sleeping, he even keeps it on during sex. It's to hide his pointed ears.
  • Really Gets Around: He was in a relationship with Seri, and then later with Marise. Centuries ago, he also had relationships with Asari and Talani. A clearly annoyed Seri lampshades it at some point, asking him with how many women he slept exactly.
  • Really 700 Years Old: He and Talani are the few elves who didn't turn themselves to stone.
  • Support Party Member: His skills focus on healing and buffing the party. Though this is downplayed if he's built to have high ATK, allowing him to deal decent damage with his Holy Blast spell.
  • Unresolved Sexual Tension: He once broke Seri's heart in order to continue traveling alone and later had a temporary relationship with Marise. He also had relationships with Asari and Talani centuries ago.
  • Wandering Minstrel: He has a home in a cave, but he spends most of his time wandering Ara Fell.
  • White Mage: Has both a single-target heal spell (which can also revive) and the game's only multi-target heal.

    Seri Kesu

Seri Kesu

Allies

    Asari

Asari

  • Heroic Sacrifice: Subverted. She and her fellow elf spirits were going to sacrifice themselves to open the way to Eldrinor for Lita, but Baramon sacrificed them first.
  • Spirit Advisor: As an elf spirit, she guides Lita in her quest to get the artifacts.

Antagonists

    Baramon (Unmarked Spoilers!)

Baramon

  • Big Bad: While Nash is the leader of the vampires, Baramon is the one coming up with most of their plans and ends up betraying them. He succeeds in stealing the Soulstones from them and eventually becomes an insane god, forcing the party to destroy the Sunstone.
  • Daywalking Vampire: He's the only one immune to the effects of sunlight.
  • Devil in Plain Sight: Despite looking similar to a vampire, no one suspected him until it was too late. This is because he can survive in sunlight, causing most people to assume he's a normal human.
  • Faux Affably Evil: He's very softspoken and Stoic as he does horrible things like binding his vampire allies and leaving them to burn in the sun, showing his Lack of Empathy towards everyone. Before the Final Boss fight, he gives False Reassurance to the party when he promises to spare all of them out of gratitude for being his Unwitting Pawns, except for Doren because he wants to complete his genocide of his former race.
  • Genocide from the Inside: Not only is he responsible for the vampire outbreak that nearly drove his former elven race to extinction, he kills some of his fellow vampires once they outlive their usefulness, despite how few of them are left. By the end of the game, only two elves are alive due to him killing the rest with explosives for blocking his way to the Sunstone.
  • Godhood Seeker: He seeks the Sunstone to become a godlike being, but his failed experiments caused him to become the first vampire instead. According to the developer, this was because the goddess who originally raised Ara Fell disappeared, so he believed the continent needed a new god to lead them.
  • Hero Killer: In the Holy Land, he kills Asari's soul to power up the Soul Stones.
  • Manipulative Bastard: He hired Adrian by proxy to get Dian's Ring and has his vampire allies steal the artifacts and Soul Stones. He doesn't let the latter group know of his true plans for obtaining godhood, since they want to become elves/humans and they apparently can't be turned into "gods" in their current state, so there's no way they would accept his agenda.
  • The Mole: He posed as a member of the Temple of Orlian in order to secretly do research on the artifacts.
  • Monster Progenitor: He's the first vampire and the cause of their curse, all in a failed attempt to reach godhood.
  • Non-Action Big Bad: Downplayed and eventually averted. He starts out specializing in binding spells and has few offensive options by himself, forcing him to rely on minions. Before the Final Boss fight, he uses explosives to take out the elven survivors and slits Dian's throat. Then he uses the Sunstone to enter a One-Winged Angel form.
  • Walking Spoiler: Due to being the Big Bad.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: Zigzagged. He seems to be helping the vampires restore themselves to normal at first, but then he was going along with them until he could use the Soul Stones and Sunstone for his own plan of achieving godhood. He apparently wants to share this power with others because he believes Ara Fell needs benevolent gods due to the original goddess's disappearance.
  • With Great Power Comes Great Insanity: It's ambiguous how good his intentions were before transforming into a demon, but he ends up completely insane by the time he enters his final form.

    Nash Azariel

  • Alas, Poor Villain: The party expresses some pity for him as he dies without being able to see the sun again.
  • Benevolent Boss: Unlike Baramon, he at least cares about his vampire allies enough to advise them to avoid direct confrontation with Lita.
  • Despair Event Horizon: After all his allies are slain by Baramon and Lita, he decides to go down fighting.
  • Dual Wielding: His battle sprite has two swords.
  • I Did What I Had to Do: He claims that vampires have no choice but to attack humans because of their curse, but the party rejects that line of reasoning and points out that they're just spreading their curse to countless innocents. See Poor Communication Kills.
  • Moral Myopia: Despite claiming the vampires had no choice in their actions, he still wants revenge on Lita's party, despite how they acted in self-defense.
  • Pet the Dog: Surprisingly, he was actually genuine in offering mercy to Lita, to the point of holding back in his first boss fight. Later, he shows no mercy when he realizes he can't afford to hold back against the party.
  • Poor Communication Kills: Lita notes that if he worked with humans and elves to lift his curse rather than turning them, he probably wouldn't have to risk a war.
  • Revenge Before Reason: He's hellbent on taking revenge on Lita and Baramon, despite how the former could have formed an alliance with him against the latter.
  • Unwitting Pawn: He didn't realize Baramon wanted the Sunstone for his own agenda until it was too late. This is downplayed because he recently has suspicions of Baramon's true intentions.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: His goal is to restore his people to humanity/elvenhood so they can live in the sun again, but this entails waging war on the humans of Ara Fell and forcing one of them to unlock the Sunstone.
