This is a character sheet for the webmanga Aoi House, created by Adam Arnold.

Aoi House

Alexis "Alex" Roberts

One of the two male leads, a tall young man who wears his hair in a ponytail. He was (wrongly) kicked out of his dorm for supposedly drinking alcoholic beverages, which leads him and Sandy to joining Aoi House.
  • Achilles' Heel: Alex's Bishounen-effect wears off if his hair is cut.
  • Gender-Blender Name: "Alexis" is technically a male name but by the time the webcomic takes place it has become predominantly a name associated with women, so Mr. Roberts goes by the short form Alex - which is also a case of this trope.
  • Pretty Boy: With his hair tied back, Alex is an attractive young man. When it's loose, his attractiveness becomes literally hypnotic.
  • Slipknot Ponytail: When Alex removes his ponytail, all the girls get attracted by his hair. When Stephanie Kane verifies it, they're attracted again, and gives her the distraction to tie it up with her own skull ribbon and put the girls in maid outfits.

Sandy Grayson

Alex's best friend (and later stepbrother), Sandy was kicked out of his dorm for supposedly joining in Alex's nonexistent drinking escapades. Between his portly physique, glasses, and love of anime Sandy initially comes off as a stock Otaku character.
  • Gender-Blender Name: "Sandy." Presumably, it's short for "Alexander," but of course in the US it's more associated with female names like "Alexandra" and its derivatives.
  • Meaningful Name: "Grayson" (as in Dick "Nightwing" Grayson) is indicative of his geekiness.
  • Opaque Nerd Glasses: His glasses are always obscured so his eyes are hardly ever seen.

Echiboo

Sandy's pet hamster.

Elle Mathers

The leader of Aoi House.
  • Ambiguously Bi: She develops an obvious crush on Alex and has some romantic interactions with Mason. However, she never tells Alex about her feelings due to his obvious attraction to Morgan and it’s never explained why she never gets together with Mason. In a short scene in the final volume, she wakes up in bed with Nina and Sanae and she and Nina don’t what happened.
  • Break the Haughty: These pages show her going through a harsh one, complete with a short "The Reason You Suck" Speech from Mason.
  • The Cameo: Appears in the Las Vegas arc of Vampire Cheerleaders as the host of the cheerleading competition.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen: She starts as a typical Rich Bitch who doesn’t want Alex and Sandy as part of her club. However, she gradually warms up to them and does nice things for them. Most notable example is her throwing the guys a Christmas/Hanukkah party when the club is snowed in during winter vacation.
  • Dumb Blonde: Subverted. Despite being a blonde Rich Bitch, there are times where she shows her intellect. During the cosplay contest, she gets her friends to choose costumes that appeal to each of the judges.
  • Ice Queen: Mason even refers to Elle as the "Ice Princess".
  • Must Have Caffeine: She is very much not a morning person.
  • Rich Bitch: She comes from a wealthy family and often flaunts her wealth off. She often bosses around her friends and initially had a hard time accepting Alex and Sandy in her club.
  • Tsundere: With elements of a Himedere - right down to having a Noblewoman's Laugh. She's clearly crushing on Alex, but constantly puts on a cold or Jerkass exterior to hide it. Ultimately Deconstructed, as this behavior not only drives Alex towards the much nicer Morgan, but ultimately alienates Elle from everyone except Oniisan by the beginning of the third act. She reconciles with the rest of the cast, but only after a Jerkass Realization ... and also saving them from the weirdness they found themselves in on the drive home.

Nina Parker

A member of Aoi House, known for being exceptionally lazy.
  • Ambiguously Bi: She swoons over Alex when his hair is down like every other woman despite not having any interest in him earlier. Her character bio also states that neither Alex nor Sandy are the objects of her affections. At the end of the series, she wakes up in bed with Elle and Sanae.
  • The Lad-ette: She's lazy, she smokes, and in the original, she was quite the drinker, too.
  • The Slacker: She's lazy, a slob, and in the first arc was almost always depicted in a state of undress (usually wearing nothing more than boxers and a loose crop-top).
  • Smoking Is Cool: Nina is ALWAYS told to not smoke in the presence of other people, yet she still does it.

Morgan McKnight

A hyperactive redhead and a member of Aoi House.
  • Alliterative Name: Both her first and last name start with an M.
  • Cute Little Fangs: Morgan has either one or two of these most of the time to emphasize her Genki Girl image.
  • Genki Girl: She's hyperactive, has a youthful appearance, and often subjects Alex to The Glomp.
  • Older Than They Look: She's a college student, but between her height and general physique on one hand, and her Genki Girl personality on the other, one would be forgiven for mistaking her for a middle schooler.
  • Speaks Fluent Animal: She can somehow understand Tiny, most notably when he wants to visit his mother.
  • Sweet Tooth: To the point where she gets excited whenever someone mentions the word, "candy".
  • Theme Naming: Her surname is a homage to Batman's nickname, the Dark Knight. Her children with Alex are named Timothy, Ivy, and Harley.

Jessica Kim

A Korean-American member of Aoi House studying to become a nurse.
  • Hospital Hottie: She’s studying to be a nurse and dresses up in her uniform on occasion and she’s quite attractive.
  • The Matchmaker: She’s aware of her friends’ feelings for one another and finds ways of setting them up together. When they’re at Hatsucon, she helps Maria out by getting her and Sandy to dance and watch a series Maria has on her watchlist.
  • Nice Girl: She’s the nicest member to the guys without exploiting them for her own goals.
  • Token Minority: She's the only non-white, non-Hispanic member of Aoi House, being of Korean descent. Jessica and her brothers are the only Korean-American characters in the series.

Maria Ortega

A Hispanic student who joins Aoi House during the first arc. Her personality and appearance evoke the anime archetype of the Meganekko, being a shy girl with long dark hair and glasses.
  • Nice Girl: Like Jessica, she goes out of her way to be nice to Alex and Sandy. Part of this is due to being a newcomer to Aoi House and thus unused to its traditions.
  • Secret-Keeper: She discovered that Alex and Sandy are now stepbrothers and promised that that she would keep it a secret. Unfortunately, she wasn't able to keep it for that long.
  • Shrinking Violet: She’s the most reserved member of Aoi House, but she slowly becomes more social during her time in the club. She’s usually seen reading manga and is eager to expand her collection.

Uri House

Mason Blue

Kevin Cardenas

  • Casanova Wannabe: He flirts with almost any girl he meets, but every attempt is shot down.

Dale Stevens

Sanae Kirishima

  • Token Lesbian: She’s the only open lesbian in the series. By the end of the series, she somehow manages to have a three-way with Elle and Nina.

Kimberly Ann Palmer

Luna-P
