- The Ace: In photo shoots. To the point she got five consecutive first photo call outs.
- Character Development: Post-show. When Ann guested in the following Cycle's finale, she became more confident and less-awkward.
- Gentle Giant: The tallest girl among the cast. Also see Statuesque Stunner She's around 6'2 tall, yet..
- Shrinking Violet: Very shy and soft-spoken, but in the later episodes it seems like she became more confident, though.
- Humiliation Conga: The roller skate commercial shoot was this for her.
- Identical Stranger: To Rhianna before their respective makeovers.
- It Runs in the Family: All members of her family are above 6 feet tall.
- Nice Girl: Rarely said anything bad about anyone, and was also seen helping fellow contestants (like when Chris hurt her ankle or when Chelsey felt faint) or comforting them.
- The Rival: To Chelsey.
- Rivals Team Up: Ironically, they were paired up the most in challenges and photoshoots, including the Covergirl commercial in the finale.
- Statuesque Stunner: She is 6'2 and took beautiful pictures.
- Too Quirky to Lose: Based on some of her confessionals and tastes.

Chelsey Hersley
- The Ace: In challenges.
- Ambition Is Evil: she is very competitive, and takes the competition seriously.
- Insufferable Genius: At her worst. Though she's still very likable.
- Ms. Exposition: Seems to be the one who knows the most about the fashion industry among the contestants this season and oftentimes when a name or brand is mentioned she will be the one to explain to the others (or the audience) who that person is.
- Ms. Fanservice: She's good in the way she dress and carry herself.
- The Rival: To Ann.
- Rivals Team Up: Ironically, they were paired up the most in challenges and photoshoots, including the Covergirl commercial in the finale.
- Tall, Dark, and Snarky: In her bad days.
- Toothy Issue: she had a small gap in her teeth, and for her makeover, she had her gap made slightly bigger.
Kayla
Kayla Ferrel
- Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: She seemed nice and sweet at first but she often made fun of other contestants and said mean things about them in confessionals
- Cerebus Syndrome: Starts off like The Ditz in her audition, but she became more serious in the later episodes.
- Chekhov's Boomerang: The word Free is still essential for her second run in the competition the following year.
- Does Not Like Men: Had a hard time with the high number of photo shoots that included a male model, due to her having been sexually molested in the past.
- Expository Hair Style Change: Twice. First her curly hair was straightened in the very first episode. Then her blond hair was dyed red in episode 3.
- Lipstick Lesbian: she is far more feminine compared to her girlfriend.
- Fiery Redhead: after her makeover
- Rape as Backstory: She was sexually abused as a child. This makes you realize that the photoshoot were she had to be photographed in a bikini with the word "queer" written all over her must have been a nightmare.
- Kayla originally wanted to use "dyke" as the hurtful word she was rising above (the theme of the photoshoot) but the producers made her use "queer" instead.

- The Quiet One: the judges accuse her of not having enough personality and being too quiet.
Chris
Christin "Chris" White
- Alter-Ego Acting: "Myrtle" is her strange alter ego.
- Genki Girl: has an outgoing personality.
- The Glorious War of Sisterly Rivalry: she and her sister Terra often get compared to each other.
- Hotter and Sexier: As Myrtle.
- Tomboyish Name: Her nickname.

Lyzbeth "Liz" Williams
- Bifauxnen: Post makeover.
- The Ditz: Had her moments.Liz: [when in Venice] Instantly when I hear Milan I think Mulan, like the movie, so I'm thinking Japan, dragons...
- Good Parents: She wanted to win to make her daughter's life better.

Esther Petrack
- Badass Israeli: she is from Israel, and also served in their army.
- Dull Surprise: Ultimately became her Fatal Flaw.
- Ms. Fanservice: she is very curvy and beautiful.
- The Quiet One: she does not get much screentime and is very quiet.
- Raven Hair, Ivory Skin: Post-makeover.

- The Ingenue: she is stunning, but the judges felt she was not very good at modelling.
- Shocking Elimination: she left pretty early, despite having a lot of potential.

- Early-Bird Cameo: Appeared in the casting week of Cycle 11 but didn't make it.
- Sit Com Arch Nemesis: To Lexie.

Alexia "Lexie" Tomchek
- Manipulative Bitch: especially to Kacey, and also to another girl, Jordan, during casting.
- Raven Hair, Ivory Skin: Post makeover.
- Sit Com Arch Nemesis: To Kacey.
Rhianna
Rhianna Atwood
- Cloud Cuckoo Lander: she bases her poses off of plants (cactus, weeping willow, tumbleweed, etc.)
- Elegant Gothic Lolita: Most of her outfits.
- Gentle Giant: She's about 6'1" tall.
- Identical Stranger: To Ann before their respective makeovers.
- Nice Girl: based on how upset everyone was when she was eliminated.
- Unknown Rival: Was becoming this to Ann during the same episode she was eliminated.

Sara Blackamore
- Ms. Fanservice: before her makeover, she had tan skin, long blonde hair, and a muscular build. During casting, she was placed in the "sexy" category for a reason.
- Raven Hair, Ivory Skin: after her makeover
- We Hardly Knew Ye: she went home fairly early, and did not have much screentime, making her one of the most forgotten contestants of the cycle.

Terra White
- The Glorious War of Sisterly Rivalry: with her sister, Chris.
- Traumatic Haircut: she cried during her makeover, causing her to get set home for it.
Anamaria
Anamaria Mirdita
- A Death in the Limelight: The elimination version - she received a lot of screentime during her elimination episode, so it was no surprise when she got sent home.
- Big Applesauce: she is from New York, and has a New York accent.
- Small Name, Big Ego: believes she does better than she actually does.
- Weight Woe: she is very skinny, but does not believe she is. She gets called out for this by the judges and her fellow competitors.
