  • Allohistorical Allusion: Ruling party, Democratic Left Alliance was real life post-communist party created after PZPR was dismantled. Because fall of USSR happened earlier, party was founded decades before OTL foundation and contains as member one of polish communist leaders – Edward Gierek.
  • People's Republic of Tyranny: The only leader of the People's Republic of Poland was Bolesław Bierut, who surprised the Polish nation with his iron red fist policy. Poland's "Little Stalin" was quickly overthrown by political changes.
  • The Remnant: Post-communist parties with democratic-socialist or socialist profiles completely dominated the Polish political scene, leaving the conservatives far behind.
  • Enemy Mine: Polish-Ukrainian relations are tense. This is because Stepan Bandera, who is considered guilty of the genocide of Poles in Volhynia, is on freedom in Lviv.
