The Main story is written by Acelegin, but after The Game Masters Tournament other writers started writing in the Daniel-Verse as well.

  • Deadly Chords: The Blog of a servant of The Choir who recently escaped jail and is seeking revenge on those who sent imprisoned him. Written by Zacks Quest.

Tropes present in the story include:

  • Author Avatar: Daniel Ferris is based off the writer, Acelegin. The Ace Of Chaos even more so
  • Big Bad: Each arc of each blog has one.
    • Arc one of Daniel's blog is The Archangel (who remains a Big Bad through most of the blog), arc two is the Game Master or Bill Dawson, and arc three is Sentinal
    • Malkator's blog has Ren for arc one, the Game Master for arc two, the Bloody Biker for arc three, Silvermist for arc four, and Bill Dawson for arc five
    • In Kallaway's blog, the Game Master is the Big Bad for the first two arc,s, and Gordon Tayler becomes the Big Bad in the third arc. Slender Man and Jack Of All are also recurring antagonist.
    • O'Zalia's Big Bad is Nolla Row
    • Silverist towards the end of Estren's blog
  • Big Damn Heroes: Daniel and Malkator both qualify, although whether or not Malkator is actually heroic is debatable.
  • Captured Super-Entity: The Game Master had The Ace Of Chaos imprisoned for over a hundred years.
    • Then there's Silvermist, who was sealed inside of a magic orb by the government.
  • Chekhov's Gun: The Statue Daniel finds outside the old church, along with the key and necklace that Daniel and Tony get in The Path Of Chaos set in motion the events in arc 3.
    • The Eldritch knife that gave Malkator and Damien their power was essential in The Game Master's final plan.
    • The Old Church is revisited often.
  • Chekhov's Gunman: The being in the Path Of Chaos turns out to be an Alternate version of Daniel and the Big Bad of the last arc of Daniel's blog.
  • Clothing Damage: Daniel destroys his vest when unleashing Slender Man's power. He ends up inheriting Dark Daniel's coat.
    • Throughout the first two arcs of his blog, Malkator still wears the shirt that was cut through when he first gained his powers. And he has to ruin a button up shirt during his fight with The Bloody Biker.
  • Did You Just Punch Out Cthulhu?: Daniel and Malkator have gone up against and defeat the Fears on several occasions.
    • Isaac O'Zalia not only kills The Game Master, but flat out erases him from existence.
    • Near the end of his blog, Daniel manages to kill The Archangel with some help from Dark Daniel.
  • Dishing Out Dirt: The Empty Cities power
  • Enemy Mine: Malkator teams up with several servants over the course of his blog. Mainly Isaac and The Crow.
  • Handicapped Badass: Daniel disables his own arm, which takes even more punishment afterwards multiple times, and is still able to hold his own against servants.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Justin, the former gang member who had a falling out with Daniel a long time ago, patches things up with Daniel after Daniel steals his soul from the Archangel.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Malkator sacrifices himself to stop the destruction of the Earth.
  • Hero of Another Story: All the main heroes of the Daniel-Verse have their own blog, and so do some villains.
  • Holding Back the Phlebotinum: Several super powered or well equipped characters save their best moves for last. A good example is Phantasm, who still hasn't shown his true power, and may not get a chance to since The Empty City ate him.
  • Humanshifting: The Archangel's power allows him to change into the souls he's absorbed.
  • Human Weapon: Devil Killers were basically created to fight the Fears, and Emissaries exist to hunt down Vision servants and descendants.
  • In-Series Nickname: That Guy, Paris.
    • Malkator is sometimes shortened to just "Malk". Malkator also refers to Slender Man by a rather inappropriate nickname.
  • In the Blood: Daniel's Devil Killer powers are hereditary, but eventually faded into the generations before being awoken by Jack Of All
    • Malkator's powers were inherited from The Vision, and he seems to have inherited The Ace Of chaos's natural talent with mana.
  • Lampshade Hanging: Several characters have pointed out the bizarreness of the random card games amongst all the cosmic horror.
  • Laser-Guided Amnesia: The Blind Man's specialty. Malkator and Damien have both lost and regained their memories.
  • Mêlée à Trois: At the end of Malkator's first arc, we have Malkator vs Ren vs Hideaki vs O'Zalia
  • Villains Do The Dirty Work: Happens a few times, such as when The Fury takes out Enhanced Daniel or when The Black Crow kills Zack Waters
