Another Danganronpa Another is meant to be the beta au for the Danganronpa Another franchise! It is the original beta au, and first to come up with the content of reversing characters' personalities. You play as Maeda Yuki, the simultaneously cynical and socially anxious lucky student of HPA Class 79-B. It’s a normal day of self-hatred, fear, and the definite chance that everyone will hate you, when… you start to feel a bit… woozy….. Join Maeda and his classmates as they’re thrown into a game of mutual killing, and try to reveal the truth behind this hellish school.

Another Danganronpa Another contains examples of:
- Aloof Dark-Haired Girl: Averted with Kurokawa, unlike her canon counterpart. Even though she fits the trope appearance-wise, with her height and black hair, Kurokawa is kind, almost like a big sister to the rest of the cast.
- Adaptational Jerkass: Inori and Maki are this, though Maki is a downplayed example. Inori is an surgeon with no qualms about offering Kurokawa gum so she'd be forced to get an expensive surgery to remove said gum from her stomach. Maki is much more aloof and snarky than her canon counterpart.
- Adaptational Nice Guy: Tsurugi, Mekaru, and Tomori. Tsurugi is a energetic young man who makes friendship bracelets and tries to keep the peace. Mekaru's kind personality unforunately stems from her internalized misogyny, but she still genuinely does her best to help out. Tomori’s friendlier behavior is a result of her genuinely finding joy in supporting her classmates, and viewing it as her job as SHSL Cheerleader.
- The Cynic: Yuki. He is even described as such in the about section of the blog. His first posts in the prologue even detail a daydream where all of his new classmates commit violence against him, where even in the ideal situation of getting into a fantastic school based on luck alone doesn't ease his belief that it will all go to hell.
- The Everyman: The protagonist, Yuki Maeda himself. He's just an average, if not cynical guy surrounded by 14 not-so-average classmates.
- Jerkass: Higa to a T. He never has anything nice to say about his classmates as he sees them as inferior, he's misogynistic and homophobic, and his response to his classmates dying is to mock others for mourning the dead.
- Rose-Haired Sweetie: Tomori is this, a pink-haired girl who bonds easily with the rest of the group.
- World of Technicolor Hair: This carries over from the original work, with most of the characters having the same crazy hair colors that their canon counterparts do.
