Awesome Music / Yogscast Minecraft Series

Go To

Volume 1:

  • "Winds of Adventure" is an awesome song, playing in the most high adrenaline parts of the series.
  • "Dark Pharaoh's Tomb" starts off spooky and becomes incredibly epic, reflecting the Yogscast's determination as they complete the final Skylord trial.
  • "The Journey", originally composed and named for an adventure map that Xephos and Honeydew played, has a haunting feel to it for darker moments of the series such as the discovery of the crypt containing the murdered Skylords, or Finbar zombifying Rory, and when it gets dark, the music reflects this perfectly.
  • "Peculiar's Theme" is a chilling music piece that builds in intensity, summarizing how Peculier has grown into a determined hero investigating into the evils of the Cult of Israphel and plotting to stop their plans.
  • "Rise of Israphel" is just an awesome track demonstrating the evils of Israphel.
  • "Take a Chance" is ideal for Heartwarming Moments that have an optimistic view to cement the song's upbeat nature, whether it be Isabel recounting the past, or Lysander wishing Xephos and Honeydew off on their journey.
  • "Decomissioned"'s electronic style seems out of place, but it's still awesome as the tune for Verigan's vision to Xephos and Honeydew, warning them of the future they must prevent, and accompanies the lights activating in the Deepcore, in both cases, action-heavy scenes punctuated by this cool music.
  • "Only Human" starts as a peaceful string melody and grows in scale from there.
  • "Ode to Granny" covers a wide variety of moods, and is just a beautiful song overall.

Volume 2:

  • "Dwarven Halls", named for the dwarven city Stoneholm, is nicely atmospheric, sounded off with chimes as the heroes venture through.
  • Further into Xephos' and Honeydew's journeys to stop Israphel comes the successor to "Winds of Adventure", "Hurricane of Adventure", which takes what "Winds of Adventure" did before and expands upon it to create a very orchestral, energetic piece when they battle against enemies.
  • "Guardians of Hope" is equal parts tragic and ominous.
  • "Kingdom of Lies" starts off spooky and becomes very epic and tense, as Xephos, Honeydew, and Peculier exit the dwarven drills to continue navigating the Deepcore, tension rising as they avoid various hostile mobs, including the giant zombie dwarf.
  • "Last Rising" sounds like the buildup to the Final Battle.
  • "Summoning the Dragons" is upbeat and hopeful.
  • "All is Lost" is Tear Jerker in song form, a somber piece to reflect when Xephos, Honeydew, and Peculier have an outright failure in their mission, such as Finbar succeeding in awakening the Sand God and dooming the world. Thus, the music goes tragically quiet to reflect on all hope being lost.
  • "The Eleventh Hour" starts off ominous and becomes absolutely awesome as it puts the heroes on edge.
  • The upbeat and comic tone of "Cart Chases" stands out among the most spectacular songs of the album, but it's still a lot of fun in the action packed nature of a minecart.
  • "Off the Deep End" is a very creepy track, its pounding beat setting a darker atmosphere for Xephos and Honeydew's exploration of the mostly abandoned Stoneholm and the Deepcore within.
  • "Wintertide" is more low-key and atmospheric, with an ominous edge.
